Overall this house was perfect for our needs. We went up North for a ski trip with family and friends, and the house set up was pretty good.
We would stay here again in the future.
Oh, and if you like nature, we probably saw 100 deer over our 3 day stay outside the complex just roaming around.
Thank you for your very positive review. It is greatly appreciated. We look forward to having you as guests in the futures. Joy

I hate giving reviews especially when you find a gem like this. Really nice house, great views.
We thoroughly enjoyed the house from the fireplace to the horses out in the stables,. The kids had a ball and the adults liked the space for everyone. A little further from the hills, but worth it.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your positive review....especially when you don't like writing them.
We agree this house is ideal for multiple families. Everyone may have their own space while still having common areas to share. Yes, the views are lovely and peaceful.
Again, thank you Joy
Plenty of space for extended family vacation
We found this property to be very accommodating for our annual family trip which included the grandparents and small children. We all had our own space in this house and loved that all the bedrooms had a king size bed. There was also ample space to gather and visit. We love to cook and be in the kitchen --so that was the only space that felt a little crammed but we adapted and I'm sure it is fine for most families. This is the first rental we've found where each couple (with kids) & the grandparents had our own bathroom -which was a big bonus :) It also had more silverware than anywhere we've been and we appreciated not having to unload the dishwasher and wash silverware to get through 3 meals.
The house itself was clean and well decorated, with plenty of available space to "move in" for the week we stayed. There are a just few areas which looked like they needed a little maintenance TLC -like a few windows that wouldn't open, door knobs that are loose or won't work properly & toilets that you had to jiggle the handle on so they didn't run all the time -but nothing that would prevent us from recommending this as a very nice rental property.
Any question or issue we had (like needing gas for the grill and the required "red" trash bags) was met promptly and without problems.
The kids loved the pool at the clubhouse and we really enjoyed the woods on the hiking trail. You will get a good workout on the steep hills of the hike! A beautiful property surrounds the house. We really loved Harbor Springs!
Thank you for your positive and valuable feedback. We are pleased you found the property so fitting for your stay. We will definitely address the concerns provided. We look forward to having you as guests in the future. Joy
We certainly enjoyed our stay at Meadow Bliss. The house is very well appointed and comfortable and the setting is lovely. We had everything that we needed in terms of appliances and entertainment. We had horses in the field in front of the house often which the children loved. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The house was a bit stuffy because the windows were all closed, but it soon cooled down. There is no air conditioning, which didn't bother us, as the nights were cool, but in really hot weatehr, could be a problem. I would definitely recommend Meadow Bliss to others and if we were looking for a rental in the area, I would be very happy to return.
Thank you for your very positive review. Your feedback is most valuable and welcome. We look forward to having you as guests in the future. Joy
Joy recommended Meadows Bliss for our family ski getaway and we are thankful she did. The home is lovely and the view of the bay and a horse farm is delightful. We are looking forward to next years ski weekend and hope to book Meadows Bliss again. Joy was very helpful in accommodating our arrival time and made several great suggestions for our visit to the area.
Thank you for the kind words...we strive to make sure we have the perfect house for each individuals needs. We look forward to having you as guests in the future.

DARK SKY PARK Prestigious International Dark Sky Park designation has been awarded to Emmet County’s Headlands property, a 600-acre thickly forested gem situated along the clear blue expanse of Lake Michigan just west of Mackinaw City. What is a Dark Sky Park? Such parks are defined as a park or other public land possessing exceptional starry skies and natural nocturnal habitat where light pollution is mitigated and natural darkness is valuable as an important educational, cultural, scenic, and natural resource. The rigorous process of application requires public participation and often years/months of preparation. The world’s first International Dark Sky Park is Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah. Four additional parks in the US are Cherry Springs State Park in Pennsylvania, Geauga Park District’s Observatory Park in Ohio, Clayton Lake State Park in New Mexico, and Goldendale Observatory Park in Washington. How rare is Dark Sky Park designation? According to the IDA Web site, only 1% of US population lives in gold-tier areas; 16% in silver; and 21% in bronze. Compare that to Australia at 29%, 9%, and 25%; Canada at 3%, 14%, and 12%; and Germany 0%, 34% and 41%. Thus Gold DSPs will likely be designated in areas of sparse population.
