Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for the use of your comfortable rental ‘All Decked Out’. We loved the tastefully decorated beach theme throughout. Multiple decks allowed us to enjoy cool lake breezes with views of Lake Michigan while listening to the waves. Close beach access offered quick return home for dry clothes, sunglasses or snacks. We appreciated the convenience of the spray wand outside the door for rinsing our sandy feet. Our extended family of children and grand children enjoyed their stay and would love to return in the future.

Thanks again,

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our first official family vacation for our family of 4 (two small boys aged 3 & 5). My oldest suffers from multiple severe food allergies, so traveling away from home in SE MI and our kitchen has always been a scary thought. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home was beautiful, spacious and clean. The numerous decks were a nice place to relax. The kitchen had all the amenities that one could ask for, however we only used it sparingly to warm up food brought from home for my son while we dined at the numerous restaurants in close proximity. One hidden gem we thoroughly enjoyed was the Arboreal Inn located in Spring Lake tucked away from the main Grand Haven restaurants (which were a short 10 min drive max). We enjoyed the beach several days of our stay which was a ridiculously short walk across the street. We loved the quiet, private beach over the packed, public beach. Having two small children also meant early bed times so we enjoyed being able to take a walk every evening on the beach to watch the incredible sunsets and get back home promptly for bed time. We also took a few day trips to neighboring areas where unfortunately we totaled our car barely 2 days into our trip. Thankfully no one was hurt and we were able to get a rental car and continue on with our trip. I have to think the beautiful setting and perfect location enabled us to continue to enjoy the remainder of our vacation. There was also a small issue with the modem going out during our stay causing the internet, tv and phone to go out. The owners took care of the issue that was beyond their control promptly and didn't cause us any problems. We are incredibly happy our first vacation was a success (other than the car accident) and plan to make this a repeated destination. We highly recommend Morning Star Cafe for breakfast and the submarine museum in Muskegon was a short 30 min drive and fun for small children.

All Decked Out

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful, worked well for eight women in our sixties. The location was great and the kitchen outstanding. The owners were friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond in helping us to resolve issues that were not of their making. There are a lot of steps which could be a problem for someone with mobility issues. We would definitely go back and we have never felt that way about any of our rentals over the past 16 years.

Quiet Get Away

  • 5 of 5

All Decked Out was a wonderful quiet home with great beach access perfect for early morning walks on the beach. We loved the pier area and enjoyed watching the boats go up and down the canal. Swimming was a wonderful surprise with soft sand and easy waves. We also enjoyed exploring near by areas, shopping, and restaurants.

Wonderful, welcoming home. Walk across to the private beach or short walk to the public beach. Great view from the decks. The sunsets were magnificent. The town of Grand Haven in great, less crowded than South Beach. The colorful water fountain show at 10p.m. Each night is a must see. Great restaurants in town. The live flower arrangement upon our arrival was a nice touch. The home included all the amenities we needed. We got plenty of exercise walking up and down the stairs which allowed us to visit Miss Lisa's Ice Cream Stand each night. After walking the length of the walkway in town, we discovered that if we went to the end of the street in front of the house, that put us very close to the lighthouse. Pronto Pup's is a must. Unique corn dogs, and Two Tony's for dinner is also a must.
