This was the most amazing house ever
 rooms were spacious comfortable and clean. The pool was clean and beautifully kept. Very luxurious but also very comfortable. I would highly recommend! The house has some narrow driveways to get there but it is perfectly positioned
 you want to make sure to arrive before dark as it can be more difficult to navigate in the dark. We definitely will have to stay again!

Extraordinary Property with Breathtaking Views!!

What a fabulous home and the 360 views are remarkable! The house is beautifully designed and appointed. The kitchen is chef ready and the bedrooms / suites are incredibly luxurious! We loved the pool, outdoor spaces and the openness of the main living space! Lisa was wonderful, available and the instructions provided in the home were so helpful. We will definitely be back! Such a perfect place to relax and unwind!

Fantastic place near Healdsburg

We have stayed in several great places in wine country. This is the best property by far. The house is incredible, modern, clean. The views are breathtaking. Communication with the property manager and owner super easy. We highly recommend this place.

Beautiful setting in Sonoma County

The residence has a beautiful backdrop of the Mayacamas Mountains. The home has an open floor plan with a great area for entertaining and cooking. Everything you need is right there. Would definitely return to this wonderful location.

Beautiful, private, well-appointed property near Healdsburg

The view is as gorgeous as advertised, and the house is incredibly stylish, spacious, and well-appointed. Outside: The pool is a definite highlight. It's refreshing (read: not bathwater warm) and beautiful--long enough for modest laps, deep enough for plunging, and spectacularly well kept. Someone came by regularly to clean, which we really appreciated. Inside: the beds are soft and comfortable, the bathrooms and showers are modern, the kitchen is comfortable and well-stocked, and the decor is very tasteful. The lighting, furniture, and space were ample. I stayed with five family members for my mother's 70th birthday and it was very special. We ultimately preferred Healdsburg to the Napa side, it's a very cute town with lots of fine dining and low-key wineries. Lisa was great. She went above and beyond when I asked about pre-stocking, offering to do it in advance or have someone arrange for us. (We did not take her up, but I was grateful for the offer.) We had a few maintenance issues, but she dealt with them speedily and generously, and the caretaker Steve and his wife were lovely. Things to note: The driveway is more of a steep, one-lane road and could be intimidating to nervous or older drivers, especially at night. It gets buggy (mosquitos, too) after nightfall. And we suspect previous guests have walked off with or misplaced wine openers, as we had trouble locating one, so come prepared just in case. You're about 20 minutes from town. I would love to stay here again.

Amazing property!

What an amazing property! We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend. Everything from the spectacular views and location to the great space that included all the amenities was perfect. Lisa was also very accommodating and helpful. What a great getaway with friends!

Simply OMG! For 3 to 4 couples who desire a weekend or a week in Sonoma, this place is hard to beat

From the beginning, Lisa could not have been more pleasant to work with. The home is simply wonderful and comfortable
 The kitchen and dining room, leading to the outdoor seating area could not be more conducive to a gathering of family and friends. The first drive up the long driveway/road is a bit "harrowing", but then you realize how wonderful it is to be away from it all, yet still so close to wineries and activities. Best complement of all

Beautiful property with an amazing view

This property is so wonderful. Our group of eight had the most perfect vacation. We spent our mornings watching the sunrise sipping coffee and our evenings playing bocce ball. The view is unmatched. The photographs give you an idea but it's so much more spectacular in person. The kitchen is well stocked for those wanting to cook. Our group loved gathering around the large dining table for meals. We thank Lisa for all of her hospitality! This is a one of a kind property.

Healdsburg Bike and Brew

Our days went pretty much like this: get up from our comfortable beds, have a cup of coffee as we watched the sunrise over Mount St Helena from the deck, cook our breakfast in the well appointed gourmet kitchen, bike the beautiful areas of Chalk Hill, Alexander Valley, Dry Creek and Russian River, swim in the pool to cool off, play bocce ball, BBQ dinner, drink the fine beer of Bear Republic, and repeat. It was a perfect stay for us. The house is just as advertised and really better. Bedrooms, baths, kitchen, common areas - all clean, new, and comfortable. The grounds are fantastic. Spectacular views, great pool, bocce ball, nice gardens. Lisa was very responsive from the moment we inquired through our entire stay. We will definitely return. This house is perfect for families, a couple families, small groups. The setting is quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to Healdsburg and Windsor (and really Calistoga and Geyserville) for shopping and restaurants. Of course for wine lovers it would be an amazing base camp. If you bike from there, like we did, just know the driveway is a little steep - but it makes the reward of the pool and brew waiting at the top all the more worth it!

Perfection

Where to start? The Estate on Chalk Hill was more beautiful in person than in the photos...and the photos were beautiful. The home was nestled high on top of a hill overlooking the scenic vineyard of Chalk Hill. Our group of 6 (all city dwellers) could not have picked a more perfect place to be secluded on our couples' wine tasting trip. The home was so beautiful, had everything (and more) that we needed for cooking a great meal, plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer. In fact, it was better than staying in a hotel. The privacy and scenery was magnificent. Downtown Healdsburg only a 20 minute drive! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the country and cannot have had a better experience, beginning at the Estate on Chalk Hill. Thank you, Lisa (and family) for allowing us to rent your beautiful home!

Breathtaking views

We had a fantastic family trip with ages 20-83 everyone happy, relaxed and comfortable. The house overlooks vineyards with breathtaking views all around the home. The accommodations were perfect a little something for everyone to enjoy, bocci, pool, hot tub or just reading a book on the covered porch, can't ask for anything better. Lisa the owner was wonderful to work with and we would love to come back and stay in the future. Highly recommend for families or couples getaway to wine country.

Fantastic!

Beautiful house. Amazing view. Convenient location that still feels peaceful and removed from any noise. Very well-stocked kitchen. Linens are very good quality. Lovely garden. And the owners are easy to work with and extremely responsive and considerate. Our family loved this house and we would come back every year if we could.

It's Hard to Fault this Place!

The views...omg. As wonderful as you think they look in pictures, they are even better in person. We traveled to this home for my husband's 40th birthday with 5 other friends, and there was plenty of room indoors and out for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked, the bathrooms wonderful and the overall floor plan fantastic for hanging out with friends. Lisa was great to work with and answered any questions we come up with. The pool area and bocce court are simply amazing, and you will end up hanging around more than you think (even with the fantastic wine country and restaurants nearby). We spent a day biking Dry Creek Valley and another day with a driver (the limo CAN make it up the drive, regardless of their concern when you book a car). I would recommend a driving service of some sort if you plan to do much wine tasting, as the roads are very curvy and the drive steep (the benefit of which is privacy when you get home). The entire rental process was simple and again, the home has everything you need. Highly recommended, and a home that I would be happy to return to.

Well deserved 5 star ratings!

Our family (husband, two 20 something children and their significant others) were lucky to stay in this beautiful home over MLK weekend. Having rented many homes for this group, we all agreed that this easily was one of the nicest. It has the most well equipped kitchen, gorgeous views of vineyards and countryside, comfy beds and furniture. This home is beautifully decorated but not at all fussy and has many comforts. The owners have thought of everything. We hope we are lucky enough to return. Many thanks to the owners for making this a very special weekend!

DREAMY SETTING

I chose this house from several that I liked on VRBO and it was the right choice, no question! We were mesmerized by the view, and the house is absolutely beautiful and comfortable, which is exactly what we wanted. The beds are comfortable, the baths are lovely, and the kitchen/dining is the perfect size for hanging out as a group (plus it is well-stocked)! We had planned to go into town and wine taste one day, but we were so happy on the deck that we never left! Our only regret is that the weather was not warm enough to use the pool...so we will be back!

Did not disappoint! Perfect home away from home.

My family and I had read the amazing reviews of estate at chalk hill farm over the summer and had wanted to rent it. It was not available but when we decided to go back to wine country we grabbed this house for Thanksgiving. It did not disappoint at all. The house was immaculate. Beds super comfy. The kitchen equipped so that making a multi dish meal for thanksgiving was a breeze. There are plenty of pots, pans, serving pieces and dishes. If you are a cook this house is for you. There is nothing more frustrating than not having the right equipment. In addition, Lisa generously leaves things such as spices, flour, sugar, etc. what a pleasure not to have to haul all that with you. The television and den are perfect for watching hours of football (which we did!) and movies on a rainy day. (Yes it actually rained) We took the suggestion of other renters and went to taste wine at Calluna estates which you can see from the bedroom side of the house. The owners are very knowledgeable and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our education and wine tasting experience with them. It is a must do on your calendar. In short, we will probably rent again. The vistas are gorgeous, the pool beautiful even though we didn't get to swim in it.

Amazing down to the very last detail!

I've rented plenty of homes through VRBO and have never bothered to take the time to write a review. But I just have to for this gem. The owners were so attentive from the day I first inquired about the property. Two days before I arrived I wrote to ask a few questions about their kitchen appliances, knowing we wanted to take advantage of the amazing kitchen. In response, the owners sharpened the knives prior to our arrival. Amazing! Once we got to the property we didn't want to leave. It's isolated, breathtaking and has everything you need for a fabulous stay. I have never been so comfortable outside my own home. It was perfect for our family and wish we had stayed longer.

While we were devastated to lose the original house in the Kincade Fire, starting from scratch gave us the opportunity - in partnership with our architect - to create something that took better advantage of the property and maximize the views..

Of course we are biased but we can't think of a more beautiful gathering spot to build traditions with friends and family. The house is perfect for unwinding, relaxing and gathering - open layout, high ceilings, ample outdoor area. And the views are drop dead gorgeous.
