About Debra Beck

I am the founder of Sedona Soul Retrieval. I help women and couples connect with themselves, shift old beliefs and live a more authentic life through retreats and mentoring. I am the Author of the Award winning book My Feet Aren't Ugly, A Girl's Guide to Loving Herself from the Inside Out. I also mentor teens and parents helping them learn to connect with each other in new ways. I have lived in Sedona for over 17 years and love it. I am currently in the process of finishing my second book Present Moment Parenting.

Why Debra Beck chose Sedona

This historical home has such character. I fell in love with it's charm and I have loved living in it for the past 14 years. The House was built with local material, as you can see with the outside constructed with Sedona red rocks. The private jacuzzi is a dream to come back to after a hike. Also having the kitchen, so you don't have to eat all meals out is nice and having BBQ Grill to enjoy being in the garden.

If you really want the real Sedona feel, this historical gem is a perfect way into it.

What makes this house unique

People that stay at the Inn often tell me they felt comforted by it, which I totally understand because the whole house has that same feeling. It is a feel good house. The garden is mind blowing and just adds to the comfort and relaxation, along with the jacuzzi. I've created the space in a way I like to travel.

The kitchenette makes it nice to get up and have breakfast in the garden and start your day in a relaxing way. The rooms are fresh, clean and cozy. I only hear positive comments.

The private jacuzzi is a real treat after a day of hiking out in our amazing red rocks. Get up have breakfast in the garden, go hiking, then come home for a glass of wine and bird watching in the garden with nice views and a calming jacuzzi. Also FREE Wi-Fi!

Cozy, clean, convenient!

  • 5 of 5

This location is perfect for a couple traveling together! The space is smallish but extremely cozy and clean. Everything that you would need for a short stay is there and there is a great-looking (but small) kitchen, which we did not use at all. It is walking distance from the Hyatt resort that is just at the "Y," which is where Hwy. 179 intersects with Hwy. 89, and the mall that is there. As such, you can also walk to other attractions at the "Y." There is a lovely outside patio for sitting and drinking your coffee in the morning and also a hot tub, but we did not use that (a little too chilly when we were there). Communication with Debra was easy (mostly through text) and she made sure that we knew exactly how to get there and get in. Thanks! We had a wonderful stay and a great time in Sedona.

Great location, place and host, would definitely recommend this place!

  • 5 of 5

Debra was a great host. Communication was on point, and her place was impeccable when we arrived. The place itself was charming, and had everything you may need during your stay: refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, plates, utensils, etc. She even made some toiletries available just in case we needed them. The location is perfect, a short walk to everything uptown Sedona has to offer. I read some reviews stating the place was small, but I found it to be more than adequate. I would definitely recommend this place for a Sedona visit.

Cute little getaway

  • 5 of 5

We chose this property for a few main reasons: the price, the hot tub, and the location. Overall our stay here was great. We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants, shops, and down to Oak Creek for drinks. At the same time, the property is nice and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Debra was accommodating and gave us her personal recommendations for restaurants and hikes in the area when we met with her. She was responsive to texts and calls and the property was clean and comfortable. We would love to come back again!

Great little spot in Sedona!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent three nights is this cute little place close to everything Sedona. It has everything you might need after a day of activities. The red rocks are right out the window (what a view) and a short drive to hiking Slide Rock. Great restaurants in the area too. DO NOT MISS INDIAN GARDENS CAFE!

Wonderfully Refreshing

  • 5 of 5

To be very clear, my partner and I both enjoyed our stay greatly and will absolutely stay again. We found Debra, the owner, very accommodating, helpful, trustworthy, un-intrusive, and she was a pleasure to work with for our vacation.

That said a few notes to others to just be mindful of when booking the unit... the unit is very small, perhaps even slightly smaller than a standard hotel room. This is fine just be prepared for small and take advantage of the outdoor space to extend your living area. This space is absolutely limited to 2 people maximum. I liked to imagine our stay as a training video for living in one of those tiny houses you see on TV. And speaking of TVs, there is not one. Again, this is not a bad thing and we actually relished the opportunity of not getting sucked into turning a TV on just because it was there.

Otherwise, it met all our needs and then some. Uptown Sedona was a very easy walk, hiking was just down the road or a short drive, beautiful scenery is everywhere you look, and the Jacuzzi was a real treat after a long day. It even came with friendly cat (Milo) who liked to demand attention in the early evenings.

Given the very reasonable rates compared to other Sedona rooms and hotels, this is an absolute steal for one person or a couple. We will definitely be returning.
