A newly refurbished Sedona cottage that embraces the original rustic red rock style from the 1940's. There are two bedrooms that are newly decorated comfortably for our guests. The updated bathroom has a full tiled shower and beautiful cabinets. The remodeled kitchen is fully stocked for the convenience of cooking meals. There is a large great room with plenty of space for relaxation. There is Wifi and a flat screen TV for your pleasure. Outdoor space has three patios for relaxing and barbequeing. The cottage is located one street from Historic Uptown Sedona. Dining, shopping, wine tasting, entertainment, tours, and Oak Creek Canyon are all within steps. Biking and hiking trails are abundant in the Uptown Sedona area. This location has spectacular views that are breathtaking. There is no need to drive a car because everything you'll need to enjoy beautiful Sedona is within walking distance.
I have been a resident of the Sedona area for thirty three years! I was born and raised in San Jose, California where I attended San Jose State University. I have worn many hats in the field of education and felt fortunate to work with children and young adults improving their literacy skills. I received my Masters degree from Northern Arizona University that allowed me to further learn about my passion for reading. I have a wonderful husband that I have been married to for thirty five years. He has a construction company that he's been the president of for the past thirty years. I have two children, a son, and a daughter. Both are graduates of the University of Arizona! I feel fortunate to have raised my children in a beautiful area that our family considers our home.
Genna Adams purchased this cottage in 2005
We purchased this property over ten years ago. The Uptown Sedona area is the perfect location for guests to enjoy because it's conveniently located near hiking and biking trails, beautiful red rock views, restaurants, and shopping. The unique thing about the property is that it's within walking distance to all of theses amenities. The charm of the area captures the original historical
This was our first time to Sedona so we didn't really know what to expect, but everything surpassed our expectations! Peach Tree Inn is a beautiful and cosy little cottage that has been very tastefully decorated and is immaculately clean. Everything that you could need is provided and we felt very welcome the moment we stepped through the door. The other great thing about the cottage is it's amazing location with uptown being walking distance. The views are also breathtaking no matter what window you look out. We were sorry to leave this cute cottage and if we ever return to Sedona would definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed our trip to Sedona and this cozy, lovely cottage made it even nicer! It was very clean, quiet and has almost everything you'd need. It's also walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. on the main strip of uptown Sedona. You'll still need a car to get around to all the hiking spots and attractions but it's nice to have the option to just walk somewhere nearby.
If you go in December, it can really chilly. Glad we brought our winter coats/toques/gloves...even though it was snowing when we left Vancouver, it was quite cold with the wind chill in Sedona at times. Definitely bring slippers if you come during the winter months. The Peach Tree Inn is cozy and the furnace warms up quickly but the floors can be cool---nothing a pair of slippers can't remedy though.
Some highlights we'd recommend are:
- easy hikes at Cathedral Rock and Bell Rock (more challenging if you hike up the rocks but be prepared to slide down on your bum in some spots);
- visit to Chapel in the Hill (drive right to the top if you want easy access or park lower for a like up the hill);
- Oak Creek Brewing Co. (the brewery, not the restaurant), Sedona's only craft brewery---if you're into craft beer, check out their award-winning brews. The bar is right inside the brewery, next to the tanks. Apparently they brew while patrons drink! They weren't the day we were there and I'm not sure how safe it would be but definitely worth a visit (they also do growler fills);
- Helicopter tour with Sedona Air Tours -- MAJOR HIGHLIGHT of our trip and well worth the money for the longer flight (just ask for a window seat...it's based on weight, so the heaviest get the best viewing seats);
- Jerome -- if you have time for a day trip, check out the town of Jerome. We were blown away seeing all these houses and shops teetering on stilts on the steep side of a mountain, esp considering how old the place is! Lots of artists shops, cafes, eateries, etc. Scary and cool at the same time!
If you're vegetarian, there aren't as many options as we're used to in Vancouver, BC but Whole
Foods was about 10 minutes away, as well as Natural Grocers and The Juicery (organic juices). We also ate at the Chocolatree, pretty good (beautiful raw desserts), and the Thai Palace (great!).
Thank you Genna for creating this cozy little oasis in Sedona! Can't wait to plan our return trip!
PS: At night, you may see wild pigs (javelina) in the driveway---frightening if you're not expecting them! :)
Our trip to Sedona was made special by the wonderful home we stayed at. This property is well located (a 5 minute walk from shops, restaurants, pubs, art galleries, etc) an very well maintained. The property exceeded our expectations for location and cleanliness and I would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a good home in a great location.
My wife and I enjoyed two nights with our son and his wife. Very comfortable, clean house. Had everything we needed. Even cooked Thanksgiving dinner. Great location for everything Sedona.
We really enjoyed our stay. Hiked every day. Hope to visit again in the Spring when everything is in bloom.
The Peach Tree Inn was clean, great location for our a activities, and really quiet considering how close it was to town.
My only wish would have been for a BBQ grill. We would have liked to been able to eat in more and a grill makes for quick simple meals.
We stayed at the Peach Tree Inn for 4 days with 2 young children. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Inside out. Equipped with most of what you'd need to cook and eat in. Location couldn't be better. A short walk to the cute down town where all the shops and restaurants are. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was that the queen beds were bouncy and somewhat uncomfortable.
We had a great time in Sedona.
