Nothing worked . The bed super uncomfortable , the kitchen dirty and without proper dishes pots pans etc ., only three towels , no mirror , bathroom dirty , broken drawers , broken tv, poor lighting , dangerous entry ( missing railing ) and owner rude. I would NOT recommend staying here.

Beautiful, quiet neighborhood

This small studio is located in the best neighborhood in Boulder, CO. It is walking distance to Mt. Sanitas. Very quiet, beautiful neighborhood ... perfect for morning runs. The studio itself is nice but very small ... it was a tight fit for my husband, me, and my small pug dog but we brought a lot of stuff for our 6 week stay. The owner was nice and replaced the stove with a brand new one early in our stay. The owner also responded to texts in a very timely manner. I would recommend this place for your time in Boulder, CO (just don't bring too much stuff with you on a longer stay).

Great 3 month stay in Mapleton Hill

My stay at this property was great! Studio had good amenities and is in a great location. Recommend it to anyone needing a furnished place to stay for a couple months near downtown Boulder.

Amazing Summer

Very comfortable bungalow located in a charming quiet neighborhood with edged flowered sidewalks, treed streets and gardened yards with vegetables and fruit trees. The location is perfect for all outdoor sportsman hikers, runners, fisherman, and bikers. Amazing well maintained trails to Mount Sanitas are at walking distance from the unit. Boulder Creek is a great biking route and is really close, and can give you a good challenge western direction following the Creek, and its amazing views. The unit is also at a short treck to Pearl Street, we took several evening strolls to the local restaurants , and coffee houses. North Boulder Rec Center is ten minutes away by car or bicycle, affordable work out and good yoga classes. Our host Steve was very accomodating. We stayed there for June and July. This has been our best vacation ever.

Great Location Not So Great Condition

The location and neighbor hood were great, especially with the trees and leaves changing. I was disappointed in the overall upkeep and condition of the unit. The mattress was stained and had debree on it, the stove and burners and burner pans were rusted, dirty and unusable to me. Additionally, when I moved in there was dirt, food in the drawers, cabinets and around the stove, the dishwasher was stained and wasn't clean. I sent the owner pictures and all my concerns. I hired a pest control company to evaluate the mattress and bed and although no bugs were found, they confirmed the unit was filthy. The owner brought someone in to clean, which I thought would have been done before a tenant moved in. I reported this to Boulder County Landlord Tenant website. I have requested compensation and a refund which he agreed to but have yet to receive.

Charming studio unit in an historic Boulder neighborhood

Everything about my booking and stay was easy. Communication was prompt and helpful. Arrival and check-out information was concise and easy to follow. The unit is very comfortable for one person, and for a one month stay there was very little lacking to keep me happy and comfortable. Everything in the unit worked well, and the layout is great (exactly as shown in the photos). The outdoor patio area is spacious and adds to the overall comfort and ambiance. A small band practices nearly every Tuesday evening across the street, and I enjoyed their music while sitting outside. The walk to Pearl Street is easy and takes 10-15 minutes depending on your speed and enjoyment viewing the homes and gardens in the neighborhood. Access to hiking trails is even closer - just 1.5 blocks and you can be heading up the hills. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Fabulous stay!

The bungalow was adorable and had all the space my husband and I needed for our stay. Steve the owner was prompt and courteous with all his replies and his assistant Maureen gave us tons of great tips on things to do in Boulder. We loved Nederland Maureen! We will be back.

PERFECTLY QUAINT!

A beautiful anniversary!

We came back to Boulder to celebrate our 20 year anniversary. We were married in the foothills in the old Flagstaff amphitheater. This place was the perfect location for us. So close to everything we wanted to see. We loved the patio and the bungalow had just enough of everything we needed, except maybe champagne glasses (we bought some and left them there - enjoy!). We would definitely stay again when we go back to Boulder.

Exceptional place

Mapleton Hill Bungalow has so much to offer. First of all, the location is in a very quiet location. You could hear a pin drop at night. This was a welcomed feature. The space was very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The patio was a pleasant place to enjoy some of our meals. The owner was exceptionally helpful and considerate. We would highly recommend this place. And, also, the location was ideal. The hiking just around the corner was beautiful and a special part of Boulder, the true essence of Boulder living.

great cottage

Perfect location for Boulder ... walkable to Pearl Street in nice neighborhood. Nice small patio with table and 4 chairs. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, although we never met. Only problems were non functioning dishwasher (had towels in bottom from previous leak?) and we couldn't find the hairdryer. Neither were significant issues for us since we hand washed the dishes and our hair survived, so we never called the owner. A microwave was present and worked fine. Would happily return if our travels take us there again.

5th Street Bungalow

My Husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow. We were impressed with the quaintness of the bungalow and friendly neighborhood. It was quiet at night. We rented a car to be able to pick our granddaughter up at her weekly camps in Boulder. The convenience of the restaurants, store and Laundromat made it easy to accomplish tasks. A microwave arrived shortly after we did and was a big help in preparing meals. We met the neighbors in the bungalow next door and visited with them. It did rain a bit the first week, but loved the weather cooler than our Arizona summer heat.

Great Location, great bed

Really enjoyed my stay at the Purple Door. Rented a bicycle at University Bikes and made it easy to get to everything Boulder has to offer. Mt. Sanitias hike just up the street. I noticed others wishing for a microwave and I agree...owner even stated in previous reply to a review that they were going to put one in, but still not one in the apartment. Hard to get the door closed and locked with the keybox on the door knob. Everything was clean, though...nice linens provided and quiet at night. I will be back.

Wonderful bungalow rental!! Five stars!

I stayed at this lovely,serene bungalow during the Christmas holidays, and it was a delight! My impression: Super clean, delightful color scheme,the most comfortable bed you will sleep in, convenient location, and the owner could not have been more pleasant. You could easily walk to the trails, the shops on Broadway street, North Boulder park or to Pearl Street. The kitchen is compact in the bungalow,but has everything you need,if you don't want to venture out. Recommended for : anyone wanting a comfy,cozy little hideaway in one of Boulder's nicest neighborhoods.

Romantic college student get-away (from dorm or frat)

Surprise Valentines weekend with my girlfriend. It was extremely clean and homey. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and it was really cute inside! The location was perfrct for a cab down to pearl street and the neighborhood was very quiet. Overall an amazing place and a perfect name to call it the bungalo!

Great Place

The studio is in a great neighborhood and is furnished nicely. It's within walking or a very short Uber ride to Pearl St. We loved it as our home base. Our heater was not working and Maureen came over promptly to try and remedy the situation. A microwave & iron would have been nice to have but all in all it's a great place in a lovely neighborhood!

adorable rental, really comfortable bed, quiet street, nice patio, fully stocked and functioning kitchen, great location. Hair dryer didn't work, no big deal but the dishwasher was full of really dirty stinky dishes when I arrived.

How I miss this little getaway

First, please note that the details of the address and lock combo won't be sent to you until 24 hours before your arrival, for safety reasons. So don't panic (like I did), you will receive this info via email just before your arrival. This sweet little studio is nestled in a family oriented, very quiet, very safe neighborhood. I walked home from the bus stop at night without worry. The Pearl mall is 1/2 mile walk away. There are also bus stops 1/2 mile walk away that will get you wherever you need to go. You can walk from this studio to hiking trails in the mountains in 3 blocks! The owner and his assistant are very helpful and welcoming, but also respectful of your privacy. I developed a whole routine of where to get groceries, the same bus every morning, my cup of tea in the lovely little kitchen. I really felt at home during my week there! And yes, as others have said, that bed is so comfortable, and it is so quiet at night.

Our trip was wonderful. The bungalow was exactly what we expected and is exactly how it is described and pictured. This house is located right in the center of everything. We also met the owner who was extremely hospitable. The only thing I could think to add was that this place needs a microwave. We almost just picked up a $30 for our stay and would have left it there. But we were halfway through the trip before we had the idea. I would recommend this place to anyone.
