About Edwin Ashurst
I am a licensed Realtor working in the Atlanta area. We have always had a affinity for the mountains of NE Georgia. I worked in Cherokee and in Highlands during summer vacations and always wanted to own a retreat in the mountains and now we do. It's a pleasure to share this special place with you. Email me if you would like to see a copy of the rental agreement before you book your stay.
Edwin Ashurst purchased this Cabin in 2009
Why Edwin Ashurst chose Tiger
We found the house that sits above this home about an acre away and fell in love with it and bought it nearly 10 years ago. When the builder's ex-wife chose to sell her smaller cabin and move on we jumped at the opportunity to increase our land and add this beautiful little cabin as a place for our friends and family to stay.
What makes this Cabin unique
This home is the definition of cozy and, in this case, it's not just a euphemism for small. There are large comfortable sofas, skylights in the living and dining area, a wood stove that will heat the entire home and lots of peace and quiet. It's a perfect place for that Romantic retreat, or a place to park yourself and work on that novel, or to sit in quiet contemplation or use as a base of operations for the many outdoor activities available in the area.

My boyfriend and I rented the cabin for a few days. When we arrived we found it was easy to locate. The cabin was very clean and in excellent shape. Like posted- the road leading I was a little rugged, but we expected it! It was great being close to town for restaurants and a Walmart for groceries and needs. We hiked many trails every day and it became a ritual to soak in the hot tub after our long hikes. We will definitely come back. Great price for such a great place!! Thank you for the perfect place to stay on our MT getaway.
Great cozy cabin!
This was a great trip for a group of med students. IT is a great little cabin nestled in the woods. The listing is correct though that the path that leads to it is a little rough and a truck or SUV is best used to get there.
Quiet well furnished cabin close to great hiking!
Our stay in Tiger was wonderful! The cabin had everything we needed. Every day we had a vigorous hike in a different park. Northern Georgia is beautiful!
Adorable, private, and relaxing!
Pictures do not do this cabin justice. It is absolutely adorable, impeccably clean and tastefully decorated with the cutest Christmas decor. It was just the right size for our family of 3. It's close to town so you can run in and grab some food (I'm on vacation, I'm not cooking...lol) but far enough out to be quiet and relaxing. The location was perfect for all the activities we wanted to do like snow tubing on Scaly Mountain, eating at the Dillard House, riding the Polar Express Train in Bryson City, NC and even squeezed in a trip to Helen. We love visiting all the little towns and going to the antique stores. The only downfall would be the road going into the property itself. The only word to describe would rustic. When we arrived it was dark and drizzly and being from flat Florida it was a bit of a challenge but I got used to it and became a pro by the end. We have a small SUV and would not recommend anything less. This was a beautiful place!! Thanks for sharing it with us!!
Relaxing mountain cabin stay
Exactly as owner details. Already planning on return!
Very pleasant stay at cabin
Overall a very pleasant stay at the cabin, easy to get to, close to town but still secluded.
Secluded and private but not remote location near Tiger and Clayton, Georgia. Located on a lower ridge of East Boggs Mountain the property is situated on 3 acres with a seasonal mountain view. Tallulah Gorge, Lake Rabun, Lake Burton, and the Chatooga River are all within 15 minutes as well as the new Rabun County Arena. There is plenty of shopping for antiques, art, flea markets, and mountain crafts. Rabun County even has some very highly rated restaurants like the Lake Rabun Hotel, Fortify, the Beechwood Inn, and others as well as our favorite BBQ place, The Wicked Pig.
