Kate Dehm purchased this house in 1998

Why Kate Dehm chose Northwest

The owners acquired this property in 1998 and have been renovating it ever since. A lot of hard work and long hours have been invested in this house, including the latest addition, an amazing custom kitchen, with its plum red cabinets and oversized windows. The best part is watching the llamas graze on the beautiful hillside, or storms rumbling in across the mountain.

What makes this house unique

This house is located in a private, quiet neighborhood with lots of open space, mature trees and mountain views. It feels far removed from the hustle and bustle, but yet is only a stone throw away from downtown. It's an ideal location!

Beautiful View

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing. Large kitchen full of windows with a beautiful view. The home was truly beautiful and very comfortable. It was a great place for my wife to spend her first formal day of retirement. Close to the downtown area and the highway. A true gem!

Like a dream comes true

  • 5 of 5

Kate house is not just house, it is real home with soul. The fresh air, the location, the sun lite entered the house through the big windows and the wild live surrounded made us feel like locals for 6 beautiful nights. Every thing inside the house was more than expected and words and early reviews hardly described its perfection. Thank you Kate, hope to see you again on our next trip to Aspen or Glenwood springs.

I loved the open large beautiful windows that let the indoors in the cozy & well thought out decor

  • 4 of 5

Wonderfully relaxing with just about everything that we would need. Comfortable beds, multiple places to have a meal depending on where the sun was shining. Especially like the

patio outside the kitchen to sit in late afternoons with a hot drink and snack.

Temperature was comfortable and was advised not to adjust, so we left thermostat alone.

Kitchen is a dream to work in & plenty of counter space to spread out.

Definitely would return as this lovely home that is well cared for adapts to a small or large group. Plenty of space to find a place to read and be quiet ; I especially like the large chair and

foot stool at the top of the stairs overlooking the dining rm. A small window at the end where

the stairs begin has a window where their is a view of the mountains.

Only disappointment was I could not get fireplace to work in the Master Bedroom; I did not try

to contact anyone as it was end of visit & after hours. The Mineral Springs are close & wonderful. Thank you for putting such effort and love into this home and sharing it with us.

Nice property in a great location, but needing a little maintenance.

  • 3 of 5

Enjoyed the stay overall, despite the traffic problems associated with the Glenwood bridge replacement. This is a beautiful home with a great environment, including the two outdoor seating areas. The maintenance items needing attention include the outdoor grill (one burner not working) the living room sofa (groans when you sit on it and not comfortable), and the downstairs bedroom blinds (broken and cannot be adjusted). Finally, the cobwebs in the corner of the living room ceiling should be cleaned up.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and we really appreciate your feedback! We were unaware of the issues and appreciate you letting me know so we can address them and do necessary repairs right away. I apologize about the living room sofa, it makes noise when you sit on it since it's a sleeper sofa. Thank you for staying with us!

Kate and her husband are very hospitable and accommodating! The house was beautiful and spacious!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this house this past weekend and had a fantastic experience! I had the chance to meet Kate and she is so kind hearted and hospitable.

Upon arrival, my family needed to make some last minute changes to our rental agreement, but Kate and her husband were so accommodating that everything was fixed right away and we were able to relax the whole weekend. Thank you Kate.

The house is amazing. The kitchen is fully equipped with all your necessities and all the appliances are new. The living room is very big and comfortable. The bathrooms are very nice. The master bedroom is beautiful and it includes a romantic bathtub in the room too.

My favorite part about the house is all the different things hidden throughout the drawers and cabinets! There are a bunch of great surprises and I'm glad that Kate and her husband provided so many extra things in the house for their guests.

The only thing I can think of that I recommend is installing more curtains throughout the kitchen and living room for a little more privacy. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Thank you again for a great vacation Kate!
