About Eleanor Harvey

My parents and I moved to MT from GA in 1997 after my youngest of three sons left home for college. We built O'Carroll's B&B (where I now reside) that year and then this guest house in 2003. As a transplanted southerner, I still get a thrill from the mountain views, the beautiful Yellowstone River, the wildlife, the rainbows, the glorious summers with low humidity; and yes, even the cold winter wonderland days. Now it is just I and my two standard poodles, Joie and Jacques, who operate the B&B and host the guest house and the cabin.

Eleanor Harvey purchased this house in 2003

Why Eleanor Harvey chose Yellowstone Country

Our guest house is literally in the heart of Paradise Valley only 35 miles north of YNP's north gate. We are only 7 miles from Chico Resort with it's famous hot springs pool and fine dining. Fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding, white water rafting and quiet river floats, scenic airplane flights, rodeos, wildlife observation, and bird watching just begin the list of activities to be enjoyed.

What makes this house unique

House guests are welcome to reserve a place at the breakfast table for a reasonable charge per person. O'Carroll's B&B serves what we consider to be the best breakfasts in the valley.

Phenomenal view, great accomodations

  • 5 of 5

This place had everything we needed for staying 3 nights - we wish we could have stayed longer. Eleanor is a great host and such a sweet lady! She suggested the RV park down the road where we found some souvenirs and would have stayed for the campfire but were too tired after a long day. So much to do in the area - 30 minutes from Yellowstone, close to Chico Hot Springs and grocery shopping in Livingston. The views were UNBELIEVABLE - spent lots of time on the porch - one night watching the storm/lightning and the next night looking at ALL the stars - now I know why Montana is called Big Sky Country. Great place - would recommend to anyone!

Nice size for 4 adults and 3 preteens. Everyone had their space. 2 bathrooms so no one had to wait long. All the comforts of home and more. And the view! OMG! On all sides beautiful mountains. Across road from Yellowstone River. 30 minutes from Yellowstone Park. Loved it and everyone enjoyed the stay. Eleanor very helpful with the house and information regarding the area. It was just great and our week went by way too fast!

Wonderful cabin in a wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

We were a large group (7) of friends and family visiting Yellowstone Park and sites around Paradise Valley. The landlady is such a wonderful host and the cabin was a great place to come back after our long days at the park. It's in a very beautiful and convenient location. The cabin is well equipped and spaceful to accommodate large groups. We were very happy with it, it was everything we expected. I highly recommend it.
