Joliment rénovée Cottage - Niveau Plage dans un endroit calme

Quel bel endroit, paisible pour une escapade en famille. Owasco Lake est l'un des lacs de doigt plus inconnues, donc si il est un peu de R & R que vous cherchez, ce est l'endroit. Il est très propre et très bien pour les activités de la natation et de l'eau, pour ne pas mentionner l'excellente pêche! Utilisez la chaloupe sur place, le poisson sur le quai, apporter votre propre bateau ou louer un bateau à moteur à partir d'un port de plaisance à proximité. Vous êtes sûr d'attraper perche, l'achigan, le brochet, la truite, et peut-être un peu doré. Le front de mer de niveau, avec une marche progressive dans l'eau, font de cette propriété parfait pour les gens de tous les âges!

Ce chalet début des années 1900 a été entièrement rénové. Il est été fraîchement peint et un nouveau plancher (carreaux de céramique, bois stratifié et tapis) installé partout. Tous les nouveaux appareils, mobilier, une cuisine mise à jour et deux nouvelles salles de bains donnent à cette maison une belle sensation de fraîcheur. Profitez d'une vue imprenable sur le lac de la véranda, qui court le long de la maison ou le pont spacieux au bord du lac avec salle à manger confortable et meubles de salon. Asseyez-vous, se détendre et regarder les enfants et la famille jouissent du droit à partir du pont de l'eau.

Family Visit

We enjoyed relaxing by the lake and grilling for our daughter and friends. The kayaks and row boat were a nice addition to our time by the lake. The stars at night are beautiful!

Relaxing week at the lake

Very nice stay. Close to stores and outlets as well as Skaneateles if you have a rainy day. Looking forward to another stay. I was able to park a 21 ft boat at the dock without problem.

A great week at the Lake

A wonderful “end of summer” get away on Owasco Lake. Convenient location close to town but in a very quiet location. Cottage is clean and host was great to work with. We’ll be back!!

Great Vacation!

My family and I had a wonderful week on Owasco lake! Christine was a pleasure to work with. The house was just what we expected and was perfect for us. Beautiful location and plenty of room for all. I would most certainly rent from Christine in the future!

Relaxing Labor Day weekend

Very nice property for my family. Our kids are 9 & 7 and they loved being able to walk out in the water and how friendly the ducks were! The house is exactly as listed and the owner was very responsive to any questions. Was a great end to our summer :)

Loved the location

We had a great stay at this house. The house is older and quirky, but extremely clean and high quality sheets. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the upstairs could be hard for elderly people to access. The stairs were very sturdy, but narrow. Then once upstairs you have to step down into 2 of the bedrooms.

A very nice and comfortable four day stay at Lake Owasco

All our questions and concerns about the property and pier were answered prior to booking by Ms. Izzo. We found out all answers we were given were accurate. We spent a very comfortable four days in a fully equipped house. All appliances worked properly. Bedding and furniture were very clean and comfortable. The gas grill which we used also worked. Property left much to be desired

Property was thoughtfully stocked and host responds very quickly to messages. However, the entire house needs a deep clean. The sofa and pillows stunk terribly. The rooms are small, which was fine, but the ceiling was collapsing down in some of them. Overall, property is in a beautiful location but pictures do not accurately portray all of it.

Just got confirmation from this guest it was a ceiling tile in one room not multiple rooms that needs replacing. It is getting replaced now.. Also the odor is from four new couch pillows I had just purchased the day before their stay. I thought they were nice and didn’t smell them. The covers are removable and zip off so we are washing them now!!! This group was also there prior to our spring cleaning with grout cleaning and carpet/ upholstery cleaning at the end of April…

Hidden Gem of Tranquility

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming lake house, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a sense of peace and tranquility that made my getaway truly special. The property was impeccably clean and it felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail was evident—from the sparkling kitchen to the cozy living spaces. It was clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining the property. One of the highlights was the stunning view of the lake. I spent my mornings sipping coffee on the deck, watching the sunrise. The serene surroundings made it easy to unwind and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I took advantage of the kayaks available on-site, gliding across the water and soaking in the breathtaking scenery. There were also lovely walking trails nearby, ideal for leisurely strolls or invigorating hikes. We also enjoyed wine tastings in the area and a trip to Fort Ontario. In summary, this lake house is a sanctuary for anyone seeking a clean, peaceful escape. Whether you’re looking to recharge or enjoy some outdoor adventures, this property is a wonderful choice. I left feeling rejuvenated and eager to return!

Not as represented

The house is liveable, but definitely not what is represented on line. The house is very old, and everything is very cheap and flimsy. The kitchen cabinets need to be replaced, or at the very least, repaired and painted. One of the drawers is not supported when opened, making is a difficult task to remove anything from the drawer. All of the utensils are old, cheap, and worn. They should all be replaced. The house was not stocked with the usual items such as soap, shampoo, and paper products. The price is much too high for the quality (or lack of quality) of the amenities. I think the property should be represented more accurately, so there are no surprises when you arrive.

Our next project is the kitchen for sure. We have purchased new furniture/couches for the living room in the last year and all new mattresses in the bedrooms but during the tough times of the pandemic it was impossible to update the kitchen. Our plan is to do it this winter. Not sure what is meant by things being flimsy but we do have antique dressers and tables throughout to keep that cottage vibe. We do let our renters know ahead of time what to bring, but there was a miscommunication here with emails having to be re-sent.

Great home on Owasco Lake!

Fun, relaxing, beautiful view! We had a group ages 19-79 and everyone loved it and had a great time! Wether it’s watching the osprey cruise over the lake in search of fish or just sitting enjoying a glass of wine watching the beautiful sunset, this place is a peaceful get away from everyday life stress! The yard is flat, so easy access to the lake. We enjoyed using the kayaks (life jackets of all sizes available) and swimming near the dock. The fire pit is relaxing to sit around, make s’mores and star gaze. The deck on the house is large, has a nice grill and plenty of seating. We had family dinners here and just hung out talking, enjoying the view! The inside of the home has been remodeled and it’s gorgeous! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you can imagine. The living room furniture is very comfy. We enjoyed playing chess, watching Netflix and experiencing a big lightning storm roll in over the lake one night, very cool! The bedrooms are comfy and nicely decorated. We were there during a ‘heat warning’ and the central air worked fantastic! So glad they had that! Last but not least, our host Christine was fabulous! She checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a great property right on the shores of beautiful Owasco Lake to enjoy family & friends, or just a quiet get get away, book this place! You’ll love it!

We are both teachers in the area and are easy to get in touch with, especially in summer during your stay. We live fairly close to the cottage so whatever you need we are right here!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

We loved the character of the cottage and worked hard to keep it during our renovation. There is original wainscoting and woodwork and has a New England feel to it. We also were happy that it was level for our small children at the time with a nice gradual walk out into the water. We could easily watch them play in the water while lounging on the deck. It's also only minutes to the city of Auburn, so very convenient!
