3 Bedrooms, 2 1/2 Bathrooms In The Heart Of Montana's Finest Recreational Area.

Private Home Description:

Our home is situated on one acre with an unobstructed view overlooking the Flathead Valley, the town of Whitefish and a "peak-a-boo" view of Whitefish Lake. Custom built in 2003, we kept the valley views a top priority. Most rooms along with the deck and outdoor hot tub enjoy this ever changing scenery. One never gets tired of time spent on the deck either visiting with friends and family, barbecuing, soaking in the hot tub, watching sunrises, sunsets, and night skies. If the outdoors isn't calling you, try your hand at a game of pool, watch your favorite movie in the home theatre room on a 140" big screen or relax in front of the river rock fireplace.

We are located 4 miles from downtown Whitefish, 8 miles from Whitefish Mountain Resort, 15 miles from Glacier Park International Airport, 32 miles from Glacier National Park.

lovely mountain home with stunning views!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our anniversary at this house and loved it! It was the perfect base from which to visit Glacier National Park while enjoying the perks of exploring a fun mountain town (Whitefish), complete with an adorable and inviting downtown, good food, lake, river, activities, etc. The house was beautifully decorated (inside and outside landscaping), immaculately clean, smelled amazing, and had every amenity (including little touches like luxurious hand soap) you could possibly need, even more so than our own house! (Randy and Diane, the owners, even let us borrow their coolers during our trip!) Our favorite part of the house was hands-down, the incredible never-ending views of the mountains and town from the huge back deck. We spent hours there, grilling and having our meals, and enjoying the hot tub which overlooked this incredible vista. They even have shades on the deck that you can draw down when the sun directly hits. The owners are so friendly, caring and an absolute pleasure to work with and made themselves available via phone throughout our stay for any questions we had. Just as a heads up, there's no air conditioning in the house and while we might recommend they put in small AC units in the master bedroom for the rare hot summer night (we had a few during our stay), the owners provided us with great tips to get the cross-ventilation going to keep the house cool! The downstairs bedrooms are beautiful as well and stay quite cool, so we slept there for part of the stay and very much enjoyed it! The house is on a hill so the downstairs actually has floor to ceiling windows in the common area with the views, windows with views in the bedroom, and its own deck overlooking the vista! Can't say enough nice things about the house, the owners, or Whitefish :)

Whitefish home away from home ...

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home on Highland Drive in Whitefish for the month of July and loved it! We love the area of Whitefish and wanted to spend an extended amount of time there to really enjoy this area of Montana. The home was lovely, well stocked and very welcoming with an amazing view of the valley! When we weren't out enjoying God's creations we definitely felt like this was our home away from home for the month. Randy and Diane have done a great job at making this home feel like a home and not just a "rental". We would definitely stay at this property again ... Nice neighborhood and good proximity to so many great adventures in Montana! ... Thank you for opening your home ... We loved it!!!

Perfect Whitefish Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Whitefish several times during the summer and decided we'd love to explore the area during the winter at some point in our lives. Fortunately, the stars aligned in the fall when all of our kids (21, 20, 15) were available and Grandma (85) were eager to explore the great NW. We were discouraged at first when we couldn't find availability on Big Mountain for our dates and started exploring around the city. My wife found Randy's house, and we instantly thought it would be a nice choice and fit our needs for size and proximity and were blessed that it was available for the Christmas holiday.

I knew we had made the right choice as soon as we started getting correspondence from them. They were so friendly and accommodating and wanted us to have not just a place to stay but a home to enjoy and even had it decorated for Christmas! On arrival the house and view were much better than the pictures could ever show. Their home was easy to get to even with substantial snow, and its setting on the side of the ridge overlooking Whitefish, the lake and the flathead valley was spectacular. The house was so warm in both comfort and feeling. The radiant heat kept us with never a chill and was a welcome retreat from a day skiing in sub freezing temps. The decor was personal, but so very tasteful and gave you the feeling of being at your own home. The media room and pool room were a hit and gave us a place to relax and enjoy family bonding. It was big enough for everyone to have a nice quiet space, but cozy enough that we didn't have to go far to be together. The main floor was easily accessible for Grandma with only one step from the convenient garage. It was so nice to drive through crazy snow and pull right into a dry garage to unload. We also experienced a first for us when we made our way into the hot tub on the deck when it was below zero. It was an awesome experience relaxing in the hot tub while the snow fell or the next night when the stars lit up the sky.

We have been blessed to travel to some wonderful places and stay in some very nice homes. We all agreed that this was definitely one of the best and was the perfect place to stay for the entire family. As a vacation destination, Whitefish i& the Glacier Park area is one of the most unique and diversified areas you will find for the entire family and Randy's home would be the perfect base for all your activities. Thank you for opening your home to us to make it a Christmas we will never forget.

Lovely house, Stunning view

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I use Homeaway for almost all our vacation lodgings and we've never stayed in a cleaner home or enjoyed a better view. What enhanced the view is the beautiful landscaping around the property itself - magazine worthy. There are all kinds of supplies from kitchen to bath. The owner was solicitous of our comfort and answered our questions promptly. The home is decorated in very good taste, but we would suggest to the owner that there many be a few too many family photos and other possessions in plain sight and in closets and drawers. However, that being said, we would definitely recommend this exceptional rental.

There’s more to Whitefish, Montana than just breathtaking scenery, a world class ski hill, abundant wildlife and a spectacular alpine lake. The #1 attraction that brings visitors to Whitefish are the outdoor activities.

Our home is just minutes from downtown Whitefish, and 40 minutes from world-renowned Glacier National Park serving 1,600 square miles of the most awe-inspiring mountain peaks, waterfalls, rushing streams and yes, Glaciers to be found in North America. As the shining jewel in the “Crown of the Continent”, Glacier Park attracts many visitors from around the globe each year; folks who come to hike Glaciers 700+ miles of trails, explore the crags and canyons that abound … and maybe catch a glimpse of a bighorn sheep, a herd of elk or a grizzly bear!

If Glacier’s the “crown,” there are certainly plenty of other “natural jewels” to choose from in the Whitefish area … beginning with Whitefish Lake and the ever-popular Whitefish City Beach, just blocks from the heart of downtown Whitefish. In the warmer months, the list of outdoor recreational activities is abundant: hiking, mountain biking, golf, horseback riding, kayaking, ware skiing, rafting, fishing and more!

Whitefish Mountain Resort is noted for its world-class skiing, and unbeatable value. The resort sees an average of 300 inches of snow on its 3,000+ acres, and is as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good powder skiing.
