Cottage historique haut de gamme conçu par des professionnels pour le confort

Hermanor Cottage a été construit dans les années 1830 et est un bel exemple de l'architecture créole de la Nouvelle-Orléans. Un beau porche spacieux ajouté au début des années 1900 est à la fois une caractéristique accueillante et un endroit merveilleux pour s'asseoir avec une boisson fraßche et regarder le quartier pittoresque passer. L'emplacement de Hermanor Cottage est à la fois pratique et un peu hors des sentiers battus. Nous sommes à quelques pùtés de maisons de la superbe musique, de la nourriture et du divertissement sur FRENCHMEN STREET et seulement un peu plus loin du QUARTER FRANCAIS de renommée mondiale. Si vous choisissez d'arriver en voiture, il y a un parking adéquat dans la rue. Le tramway est à proximité et UBER arrive trÚs rapidement.
Notre appartement de chalet est professionnellement dĂ©corĂ© dans le style traditionnel de la Nouvelle-OrlĂ©ans avec de l'art original et des piĂšces vintage. Le salon est charmant et confortable avec un canapĂ©-lit clic clac pleine grandeur et un tĂ©lĂ©viseur HD de 40 '. La salle avant est meublĂ©e d'une table en chĂȘne vintage qui peut servir de bureau ou de salle Ă  manger pouvant accueillir jusqu'Ă  6 personnes. La cuisine spacieuse et entiĂšrement meublĂ©e a Ă©tĂ© rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©e et dispose de tous les nouveaux appareils Ă©lectromĂ©nagers SS. Une table ronde pour 2 personnes et une cheminĂ©e dĂ©corative ajoutent beaucoup de charme pittoresque. Procurez-vous de l'Ă©picerie Ă  l'Ă©picerie complĂšte Ă  proximitĂ© et prĂ©parez facilement un dĂźner Ă  la maison. Une belle nouvelle halle alimentaire est Ă  quelques pĂątĂ©s de maisons pour manger sur place ou emporter des plats ethniques.
Notre quartier unique de Marigny (prononcé Mare-i-nee) a beaucoup à offrir. Certains de nos endroits préférés sont MIMI'S IN THE MARIGNY pour d'excellentes boissons artisanales et tapas, THE FRANKLIN pour des plats de bistrot raffinés, le récemment rénové HOTEL PETER AND PAUL pour des boissons et des repas romantiques et CAKE CAFE pour de fabuleux petits déjeuners. Et ai-je mentionné le restaurant primé James Beard THE AMERICAN BISTRO? Tous sont à seulement un pùté de maisons ou deux du chalet. Plusieurs lieux de musique live sont à proximité sur la nouvelle ST. Couloir CLAUDE et comprend ALLWAYS LOUNGE, CAFE ISTANBUL et SIBERIA.

Nous vivons juste à cÎté et sommes toujours disponibles pour le plaisir, les suggestions d'activités créatives, les recommandations de restaurants et l'hospitalité générale. This was an enjoyable, convenient, and comfortable place to stay! The design and ambiance add to the joy of being in a city with rich cultural and artistic history. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful. We have visited New Orleans many times and we experienced some new sites due to their recommendations.

Sara was a delightful host! From beginning to end, she and her husband were wonderful. Our flight was delayed and she was completely patient and understanding and met us at the cottage to welcome us and show us around when we got there. They live right next door, but completely respected our privacy. And when we did run into them in the shared spaces (front porch and back courtyard) they were so friendly. The place is gorgeous and spacious. So comfortable and nicely decorated and there was plenty of kitchen gear (though, we honestly mostly ate out!). We enjoyed the lovely back courtyard for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. Very walkable to Frenchman St. A little further than I could walk with my broken toes to the French Quarter.... but doable for healthy feet. Sara also offered to store our luggage on the last day as our flight out was a bit later than check out. I 100% would opt to stay with Sara and Tom again!!!

The house was wonderful! Very clean and organized. The owners live in the other half and were very nice!!! The entire process went smooth and Sara answered any questions that we had very timely. The location was great and a quick Uber ride away from anything, if needed. We will definitely stay here again! Loved sitting on the front porch in the morning having coffee watching the neighbors go by!

Beautiful home made our stay special

The house had all the comforts of home. It was beautifully decorated., close to many activities. Our hosts were amazing. They offered many tips about where to go. Tom who is a concierge , set up a city and swamp tour for us. An added bonus was the pretty patio out back for a drink or coffee.

amazing place in Marigny

My daughter and visited in January looking for a getaway from upstate NY winter. The weather was unusually cold, but our host Sara made up for it with her warmth and hospitality. The place is fabulous. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable, with unique NOLA charm, and lots of amenities. The neighborhood is ideally located for walking, with the French Quarter a five minute walk in one direction and the "real people" Bywater neighborhood a five minute walk in the other. The location is quiet and safe, but also has plenty of life, with restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shops right nearby. Parking onstreet was plentiful and easy. Sara's responses were prompt and very helpful. She even found and happily returned some AirPods I had left behind. Will absolutely stay here again the next time we visit. Thanks Sara!

Beautiful house in great neighborhood

We stayed 3 nights in this home and loved it. The owners were very communicative and kind and even allowed us to stay longer than checkout time when they had no new guests arriving. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to be in a safe neighborhood, outside of the Quarter, but close enough to venture out. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home

Loved our stay at Sara’s place! The neighborhood is quiet and only a mile walk into the French Quarter. Sara’s home was spacious for two people with all we needed and more. Will book again next time I’m in town.

Fabulous Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was very convenient. The house was lovely and very clean (even had a Christmas tree!). Sarah met us when we arrived. Parking was available out front. Restaurants were within walking distance. We'd definitely stay here again.

Anniversary adventure

Sarah and Tom’s cottage is even better than pictured!, Wonderfully comfortable and very quiet while being within easy walking distance of the French Market and the French Quarter. They were the perfect hosts. They responded quickly to questions, helped with arranging tours and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend staying at the Upscale Cottage and hope we can return someday!!

A perfect place for the weekend before Mardi Gras!

This is the cutest place in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to many of the things we wanted to see--the host was amazing and very thoughtful and helpful. This was my first foray into Vrbo, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat, and I'd highly recommend it for anyone else.

Lovely Cottage

My husband and I went to New Orleans to attend a wedding and stayed at this lovely cottage. Our host, Sara, was so welcoming and helpful. The cottage is a perfect place to stay, beautifully decorated, cozy, and super clean. The location is in a quiet, charming neighborhood and is an easy walking distance to the French Quarter and several great restaurants. I highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful!!

There is so much I want to say. First, this home is even more beautiful than the pictures. Every amenity was available. There was plenty of free parking. The shared courtyard was amazing. Very peaceful, private and quiet. This space was perfect for the two of us. The hosts were accommodating, helpful and unobtrusive. They were simply lovely. Do not pass this up!

What one would imagine a rental would be in NOLA

This is a truly great place and neighborhood to stay in. And the owners show a lot of pride and attentiveness. We did not have lack or need for any amenity that was not provided. Too bad the weather was a bit chilly, otherwise the fantastic backyard would have been a great place to enjoy while having a glass of wine.

Lions/Saints Weekend

Wow! This property is amazing! It is exactly what my husband and I were looking for when we booked. The check-in process was easy. The cottage was clean, spacious, and cozy. Sara even had a Christmas tree set up in the front room! The neighborhood is walkable, safe, and has plenty of bars and restaurants. There is a supermarket nearby where we purchased some items to cook at the cottage since there is a full kitchen within the unit. Additionally, the backyard patio space is awesome! I sat outside each morning and enjoyed the plants, water feature, and some coffee/pre-game beverages. If we ever return to New Orleans, I would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location with a New Orleans neighbour vibe!

The historic cottage was perfect for visiting New Orleans to experience the neighbourhood, local feel! It was well equipped, very clean, beautifully furnished to match the historic New Orleans feel! The special treat was the amazing courtyard, a special place with a peaceful feel! Sara and Tom were very helpful with local information and right next door to answer any questions. Beautiful property, charming neighborhood

Sara and Tom have furnished and decorated a lovely traditional New Orleans "shotgun" flat. Beautifully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay; close enough to the French Quarter and WWII museum to be convenient (a $7 uber ride in most cases) but a quiet neighborhood so none of the craziness. Our hosts and neighbors were very friendly and we found welcoming neighborhood eateries in walking distance, although we could have cooked for ourselves in the fully equipped kitchen. Just terrific.

Amazing, Adorable, Great Location!

Sara has this adorable shotgun set up so perfectly. Everything you need at your fingertips! Beautiful courtyard and fantastic location that is totally walkable to the French Quarter, Jackson Square, and all of the historical locations! If I could give a 20 star rating I would! Close to excellent restaurants and a grocery store! We loved our stay!! She has excellent bedding and really nice bath towels too!!

Quiet neighborhood away from all the craziness

Can't say enough about our stay! Our "house"--a Creole shotgun house-- was beautiful!!! Very nicely decorated with lovely art. Nice courtyard in back although we really didn't use it because we were never there! Easy walk to the French Quarter and Mississippi River. Frenchman Street nearby. Super quiet neighborhood with narrow one way streets; trees, potted plants and Halloween decorations. Little cafes and restaurants nearby. Sara and her husband were very helpful and great hosts. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

This was the best VRBO

The location of this property couldn't be better and the people of this neighbor hood are very friendly. The cottage was perfect, clean, uncluttered and comfortable. Enjoyed having coffee on the front porch in the morning and wine in the courtyard in the evening. The host are wonderful and very knowledgeable about New Orleans. If we go back to New Orleans we will definitely stay here again. Don't forget to visit the Bakery on the corner of Dauphine and Frenchman, the French pastry is amazing!
