Five stars is not enough

  • 5 of 5

Giving this place five stars doesn't do it justice. I'd give 10 if I could. I've stayed at this house on two separate occasions and both times it's been extraordinary. It's very well maintained, clean, quiet and yet right in the middle of all Austin has to offer.

I've stayed at Homeaway/Airbnb houses all over the world and this is by far one of the best experiences. I can't imagine a better deal in Austin for the money.

Owner's Response: John and his friends were a pleasure to host. This was our second opportunity to host his visit to Austin, and we certainly hope to see him again on his next trip here.

Lovely place, great location

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely rental with all the comforts of home. The interior is clean, comfortable and well decorated. The terraced backyard is beautifully landscaped with a fantastic view of the city lights at night. We loved the quiet neighborhood atmosphere coupled with easy walkability to Whole Foods, great restaurants, and the city of Austin. The owners are friendly and helpful. We look forward to our next stay at the Bat City House.

Our stay was most delightful... a beautiful home with many complimentary touches.

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful home situated in Clarksville, one of the beautiful, older neighborhood, centrally located to downtown Austin. Within walking distance of many If Austin's favorites. Modern interior apartment added onto a lovely older home. The best of complimentary touches.... and Chuck was the best host, offering suggestions about Austin... never intrusive. Give a 10++ ...would always want to stay here when in Austin. Thank you, Chuck!

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Bat City House is an immaculately kept flat located in a quiet historic neighborhood within walking distance of downtown. The host, Chuck, was gracious and more than happy to advise/asssit us. We loved staying here and will definitely return when the wind blows us back to Austin. Thank you for a great stay!

Absolutely wonderful. Gorgeous, well-equipped home. Warm, friendly, generous proprietors. Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

Within a short walk of the best of the best local restaurants and sometimes-classy/sometimes funky shops, this perfectly-maintained modern home was the ideal place for my two adult children and me to rendezvous. Its tall ceilings and large rooms gave us plenty of space. The comfortable furniture and warm beds made relaxing...well, relaxing. From here, we easily found our way to four days' worth of historic and entertainment hotspots, walked up and down the Castle Hill District environs and enjoyed the evening lights of the city. The property is home to some gorgeous historic live oak trees in a terraced, landscaped back yard. Eating Christmas breakfast outside under the canopy of those magnificent trees was icing on the cake. The owners were helpful, present, but never intrusive. When I return to Austin, this is where I'll come again.
