Five stars is not enough

  • 5 of 5

Giving this place five stars doesn't do it justice. I'd give 10 if I could. I've stayed at this house on two separate occasions and both times it's been extraordinary. It's very well maintained, clean, quiet and yet right in the middle of all Austin has to offer.

I've stayed at Homeaway/Airbnb houses all over the world and this is by far one of the best experiences. I can't imagine a better deal in Austin for the money.

Owner's Response: John and his friends were a pleasure to host. This was our second opportunity to host his visit to Austin, and we certainly hope to see him again on his next trip here.

Family Christmas visit to Austin

  • 5 of 5

We loved our 4-day visit to Austin at the Bat City House. The downstairs apartment is beautifully renovated and the landscaping - front side and back of the house - are lush and lovely. The December weather was a bit chilly so we did not sit outside, but the garden view from the dining table was delightful. We enjoyed Christmas breakfast and coffee every day at the house. The location is so close to everything. We walked along the greenways downtown, walked the Zilker Park trail of lights, and enjoyed day trips to San Antonio and the LBJ ranch. All in all a great time! (And many thanks to Chuck for making our stay so comfortable!)

Beautiful Property and convenient

  • 5 of 5

Hands down this is the most beautiful VRBO I've ever stayed in. It's super close to downtown (shops, Whole Food, music, restaurants). I wish our visit was longer!

Simply the best!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bat City House. The owners literally thought of everything, and had many extra touches that made their place feel like our second home. Gorgeous backyard and a fantastic location, walkable to great restaurants, boutiques and the river. We can't wait to come back!
