This property was perfect for our stay! Right across the street from the Beaver Meadows visitor center and within 10 minutes to the entrance gate. We were so close to the park we were able to go for morning hikes and evening strolls around Bear Lake the house itself is a rustic cabin.
Our family outing consisted of 6 people over the age of 69. Actually, half of us are over 80 years of age. Even though most of the bedrooms were on the upper level, everything worked out wonderfully. We enjoyed the mountains, the restaurants in Estes Park and just lounging around the house, talking and playing games. We would do it again in a heartbeat.
Heater didn't work for 2 nights, beds are squeaky and uncomfortable, furniture old snd worn, great view and location to RMNP.

Hi Danny, thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay, as well as any personal touch you found lacking. Moving forward, our local staff has taken immediate action and addressed your concerns so that we can prevent any further issues in the future. Thank you again for this valuable information as we always welcome the opportunity to improve. We understand how disappointing it was that the home was in this condition upon your arrival. Please
know we strive to provide every guest with a relaxing stay. We hope to have another chance to impress you on a future stay.
Absolutely stunning views and easy check ins and very responsive management but the place needs so updates. The beds were all pretty bad. We actually were fighting about who got to sleep on the couch. The tv was broken and heat didn't work so some nights were pretty cold.

Joseph, thank you for sharing your feedback. We're pleased that you enjoyed the stunning views and easy check-in process! We appreciate you letting us know that our team was responsive but we apologize for the areas you felt could use some TLC. Our local manager assured us that the heat was repaired and the issue with the TV was resolved. We are sorry for any inconvenience. While we acknowledge that beds will not suit everyone's specific preferences, we regret that ours was not comfortable for you and passed your comments on to the local team. We hope you will allow us the chance to provide you with a truly exceptional vacation experience in the future.
Overall we had a great time and the cabin was perfect! We got really lucky with cool weather during our stay, so not having an A/C wasn't a problem at all! We had 2 large Elk bucks show up right at the cabin on our last night and a rainbow also showed itself - it was very magical!
The only thing I want to point out to those considering this cabin is that you are VERY close to other cabins. The pictures are deceiving in that way, we were expecting to have some privacy but you almost feel like you are in a mini compound with other cabins so close to you. I wish that would've been disclosed. I don't think it would've prevented us from choosing this cabin, but it would be a nice thing to tell people.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Our group of seven stayed here for a week, and unfortunately the experience did not fully match the listing description. The listing stated that there was a laundry machine, which was one of the reasons we booked this property for a longer stay. However, there was no washer/dryer on site, and we had to spend hours at a laundromat during our trip. When we brought this up to the owner, they claimed the mistake was Vrbo’s fault, but since it’s their listing, it really should be accurate and updated. The dishwasher was also not usable — the latch was broken, so it wouldn’t hold soap, and it was dirty with old food left inside. In addition, when we arrived, there were crumbs throughout the living room, which suggested that the cleaning before our arrival wasn’t very thorough. The cabin itself had potential, but these issues made our stay less convenient and comfortable than expected. Future guests should be aware of these shortcomings until they’re resolved.

Amazing location and view, some issues to note
We loved spending time on the amazing porch at Long’s Peak cabin and would likely return to experience the view and family time in the great setting. Being so close to the park was wonderful. We’ve been to Estes Park for the past several summers and this was one of our favorite rentals. There were also a few issues to note - especially for traveling with small children. This was the first time we’ve seen a mouse in a VRBO rental. And this mouse was very active! He seemed well at home and not super excited that we were there with him. The house is on well water and the water is noticeably yellow in the tub. We weren’t worried from a health perspective, but something to be thoughtful of if you have more sensitive/sensory kids (it didn’t work for one of our kids). There isn’t a washer and dryer at the house. The property doesn’t advertise one, but just something to keep in mind if you sometimes forget to check the amenity list. There is a laundromat close by.
The close proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park was great. The house was also well stocked with games, puzzles, and toys that our kids (ages 1, 3, 6, 8) enjoyed all week. The reasons for a 1 star reduction is the lag in responsiveness from Vacasa with questions or issues with the house. The shower rod was broken when we arrived and they fixed it 2 days later.
Nice cabin with a quaint cozy feel. Well stocked kitchen and lots of books/toys/games etc. Great location with excellent views of longs peak and a very easy trip in to RMNP. Quiet at night with very little light pollution for star gazing. Several hike options from the cabin itself. Some of the mattresses and pillows were a little worn out.
Loved staying at this Cabin! View was beautiful and there was plenty of space for 4 adults. Our almost year old grandson had plenty of room to roam around on the porch and play with the toys provided! We would love to come back with more family members.
A beautiful cabin with the best view and easy access to RMNP
This property is very close to the RMNP entrance and has a wonderful view of Longs Peak! The kitchen is also well stocked, almost all supplies are available for cooking.
The only problem we had was that the check-in instructions are confusing, and we accidentally drover on the neighbor's private road. Please give a clearer instructions on which access road to take for getting to the property.
In general, however, this is a very nice place to stay for a few days if you plan on going into RMNP with your family.
We highly recommend the property and would come back again!
It was an amazing old house with a great view of the Rockies! The beds were small but comfortable.
The bathrooms were really small, but the house was 100 years old.
We enjoyed our time there!
Thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay in this vintage cottage. Almost directly across the road from the Beaver Meadow visitor center. Enjoyed watching the wildlife from the great porch and cozying up in the living room in front of the fireplace. Very well-stocked rental, too. Take the back road instead of the closer driveway, especially if you don’t have a vehicle with high clearance.
I started with VRBO, got switched to VACASA, and ended up dealing with a management company. I have used VRBO about 20 times. I do not recall a separate charge for the VRBO fee. That fee has always been included in the total rental charge. I was surprised to see a second charge on my credit card.
Still, the cabin was perfect for our family and very clean and equipped with every need. 😊
I will be more careful in future to be certain I am actually renting from the owner.
Can’t say enough about the view! So beautiful! The cabin was a little rustic, but charming. The enclosed patio was a huge hit and the toys were a great surprise. We were pleasantly surprised to find a gas grill as well. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!
