Located on the east side of Linekin Bay, facing Cabbage Island, this professionally managed, three-story year-round home is a great taste of Maine!

This is not a "cookie cutter rental". This is a private home, lovingly furnished by the owners. They expect you to take care of it as if it was your own home. This home has hosted numerous weddings, birthday parties and family reunions as well as small families that enjoy plenty of space and the unique amenities offered by this location.

The deep water dock is sought after by people who travel by boat.

Rent kayaks and launch them from the shared dock and float or go for a swim. At low tide, the depth off the dock is 10 feet; this part of the bay sees 8 to 10 foot tides. Two hefty moorings are available for an additional fee.

This is the perfect house for sailors, boaters, fishermen, photographers, hiking and nature enthusiasts.

This house features a wrap around screen and glass porch which will become your favorite place to be. Overlooking Cabbage Island and Linekin Bay, Captain's Quarters is the perfect spot for your family reunion, girls getaway, corporate retreat, wedding or vacation. Spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from the house, the porch or the beautiful lawns.

The screen and glass porch wraps three-quarters of the way around the house, with several distinct living areas. It has a ping-pong table, Foosball game and comfortable wicker furniture making an idyllic spot to congregate, relax and enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails. Soothing breezes from the water make this a summer spot like no other.

On the first floor you will enjoy the well equipped kitchen, formal dining room, large living room and a 3/4 bath. The gourmet kitchen has two coffee makers, two refrigerators and an additional freezer plus an island for socializing. The living room has a gorgeous fireplace and several furniture groupings offering plenty of space for conversations and indoor activities such as puzzles, board games and WIFI.

The second and third floors have four bedrooms and one bath each.

The spacious lawns have a terraced area with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs from which to enjoy the beautiful views. A gas BBQ and a cook-out area with picnic tables are included. The multi-level grounds slope down to the water. Croquet, horse shoes and badminton games can be played.

This house is rich in history and began life as an inn in service to the steamships traveling the coast of Maine and later became a sea captain's home. Come see how the current captain has brought this gracious lady into a modern world without destroying the charm and character of the house. The linens are included at this location.

About Audrey Miller

Jeff spent a lot of time vacationing in Maine with his family. Boating is a passion and the location of this house is perfect! You will share the dock and float with Jeff and Audrey as they come and go this summer with their sailboat and motorboat.

Jeff bought this house because he loved this old house built in the late 1800's. It has been a labor of love. Each bedroom has a theme with wall paintings by a local artist. Audrey and Jeff have furnished the house with comfortable, livable furniture and decor. The themes of each room are unique! A favorite is the Garden Room we did for our daughter! We keep working on the house doing something each year.

What makes this estate unique

This space is wonderful for large groups. There are so many different places to gather and socialize. There is so much to do here too. The house sits at the end of a very long private drive, a great place to walk, to walk your dog and simply enjoy nature. And the floating dock is wonderful for swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing and sunning. You will be very spoiled and will want to come back again and again!

Play badminton, volleyball, croquet or horseshoes in the back yard. There is a swing set for small children in the orchard. An excellent area for fishing; blue fish, mackerel, stripers and sea bass frequent Linekin Bay. Walk from the house to the Burley Loop, a hiking trail managed by the Boothbay Region Land Trust. Little River is a beautiful ocean trail also within walking distance of the house. Ocean Point is only 2 miles away and offers walking with crashing surf and open ocean.
