This adorable two-level Manzanita vacation home is just steps from the beach, shops, galleries, and restaurants. Inside you'll be nice and warm with a wood stove while you do a little storm watching out the west-facing upstairs windows. And while staying at this house on the Northern Oregon Coast, you don't need to leave you furry family friend at home, as it's dog-friendly for up to one 50 lb dog!
Inside you'll find the main living area upstairs, with a fun and eye-catching minimalist/shabby chic aesthetic. With colors like blue, greens, and yellows, this space has a decidedly clean, beachy feel. Lounge back on the couch and watch a DVD on the flat screen TV or play some board games together.
A dining table seats four right by a cozy window seat. After dinner, curl up on the cushions and gaze out at the ocean while finishing up your glass of wine. In addition to the dining table, there are three bar stools at the kitchen counter to grab a quick snack or set up your laptop and check your email with the WiFi.
In the open kitchen, cheery bright yellow cabinets greet you, as well as all the major appliances (including a dishwasher) and tools you'll need for whipping up a pot of satisfying clam chowder or even pan-roasting some steaks. In the mornings, grab a cup of coffee and head out to the deck to enjoy the morning and ocean views.
Also on the deck outside, aside from a beautiful view, you'll have a private hot tub and propane grill at your disposal. After spending the day beach combing, collecting shells, and flying kites, come back for a warming soak in the hot tub followed by grilled salmon or skewers of shrimp. This upper deck wraps around the whole front of the home and has plenty of patio furniture so you'll be able to find your favorite spot to relax. You can even take advantage of the outdoor firepit to share stories and roast some s'mores!
The main level bedroom has a queen bed and a TV, as well as a futon for extra sleeping space or a cozy spot to lounge and read a book. This room also has tall, slanted ceilings and a pretty iron bed frame. Downstairs, the second bedroom awaits. This room also has a queen sized bed and a TV, making its inhabitants very comfortable. On this lower level there is also a second living room with a sleeper sofa for additional sleeping options.
Two bathrooms are also conveniently located throughout the home - one upstairs and one downstairs. Other amenities at this cute house include a laundry room with a washer and dryer for guest use, and central heating for those chilly coast nights.
Outside, there's a yard for kids and dogs to play that is partially surrounded by trees. And just about two houses away - beach access! Enjoy seven miles of beautiful, flat, sandy beach. Run with the dog, fly kites, bring a picnic down to the beach and spend a sunny afternoon watching the waves roll in.
In the mornings, join the locals in line for pastries and coffee drinks at Bread and Ocean Bakery - and while you're there, you may want to pick up a loaf of freshly baked bread to go with your clam chowder dinner. After fueling up, if it's a nice day, make the hike up to Neahkahnie summit for amazing views all down the coast to Tillamook Bay.
Easily walkable from the house, in addition to the bakery, you'll find a nice collection of bookstores, restaurants, shops, and galleries along the main drag of Laneda Avenue. Pick up some books and spend the day reading on the beach or at your cozy dining room window seat.
On stormy nights, brave the weather and pick up a roasted vegetable pizza at Marzano's and spend the night inside, watching DVDs or playing board games. Or, hole up at Vino Manzanita for some wine, warming snacks, and live music.
From here, there are also a number of nearby day trip destinations - Cannon Beach for gallery browsing, antiquing in Wheeler, museums and Fort George Brewery in Astoria. The first two destinations are within a 20 minute drive, and Astoria is just an hour to the north, with plenty of opportunities for scenic excursions along the way.
Whether it's at the height of the summer season, or a quiet winter weekend, the Oregon Coast is truly a year-round destination. And at this cozy, Manzanita getaway, everyone in your group will feel right at home.

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Property was very convenient, Vacasa very accommodating when I had questions or needed to make changes
Felt like a home away from home. Close to the beach, town, and still quiet. Everything clearly marked. Enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our time here. We want to come back with friends in the future because we've never stayed at a pet-friendly house we liked so much. The house is older - it's a bit less insulated than newer construction and there's a pretty fabulous bidet in the main floor bathroom. But it's squeaky clean and has all the comforts one could wish for: beach access down the road, a well appointed kitchen, great mattresses, a hot tub, and two separate living rooms with HD TVs. Also, that window seat is just as awesome as you think it will be!
4 of us stayed this weekend for a birthday celebration. The house was super cute, very clean and had an awesome view. We will be staying here again.
We enjoyed the great ocean views in the dining area and living area on the main floor. The beds were really comfortable, and the house was very clean. The kitchen amenities were a bit disappointing, no kitchen towels, no extra cutting boards except for the pull out one on the counter and no broiling pan or tin foil so we couldn't cook our meat in the oven. Things that can be easily remedied. I would definitely stay here again. One of the Vacasa staff brought us over a tea kettle, which we really appreciated. The staff were very responsive to our questions.
Beautiful view and the house was cozy and well decorated. It was better than I thought from the pictures!
