Runaway Bay is a 13 acre resort complex full of amenities for you and your family to enjoy while on your vacation. It is located in Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island across the street from the beach.

Anna Maria Island is a Barrier Island located in the Gulf of Mexico. Quaint shops and local restaurants, with 7 miles of blue waters and white sandy beaches, are all part of the landscape here. It is a place where “Old Florida” charm can still be found and “Island Time” is a way of life. Flip flops are a part of stepping out and the speed limit never exceeds 35 mph on the Island.

Runaway Bay, here on the Island, has been voted the best resort by the Bradenton Herald for several years in a row. This vacation resort is located 100 yards from the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Runaway Bay has the largest heated pool on the Island and we are steps away from the sandy white beaches of Anna Maria Island. This resort features tennis courts, shuffleboard, bocce, a fitness center, BBQ grills throughout the property and a fishing pier located behind our condo, right over the bay. There is a free trolley that will take you all around the Island. Runaway Bay has a covered trolley stop located at the entrance to the resort.

Well maintained and full of amenities, this condo is located in a quiet section of the complex with a peaceful view of the bay to wake up to from the master bed. We are Condo # 238. Enjoy the views of the resort lagoon as well as a tranquil water fountain to listen to and watch from your private screened balcony. There is a picnic table and BBQ grill located directly behind the condo on the bay. Stand on the pier overlooking the bay while enjoying your morning cup of coffee.

Our condo is CONTINUALLY maintained, updated and fully stocked. Updated quality furniture throughout the condo. Kitchen and both bathrooms have been COMPLETELY UPDATED and the entire unit has been freshly painted. NEW sleeper sofa, NEW Smart TVs and a NEW washer and dryer for our guests to enjoy. Towels, sheets, comforters, and even pillows are CONSTANTLY CHANGED out throughout the year to make sure that each and every one of our guests have a clean and comfortable home while staying as our guests.

Even though we employ a cleaning service, at least once every 5 - 6 weeks we travel to the condo in between the arrival of our guests, to do a thorough cleaning in nooks and crannies that are sometimes over looked. This attention to detail makes this unit one of the cleanest available. Mark and I work hard to make sure that our condo is truly a perfect vacation destination for you and your family.

Free WiFi and upgraded cable channels. Screened in balcony.We offer unlimited calls to the USA and Canada for our guests. The unit is fully furnished with a spacious and fully stocked kitchen. The master bedroom has a large walk in closet, a private bathroom and a comfortable king sized bed. The guest room has twin beds that can easily convert to a king bed if needed.The condo has a split bedroom plan for added privacy.

The living room has a pull out sofa bed, so the condo can sleep 6 comfortably. There is a full size washer and dryer in the condo. All linens, including beach towels, hair dryers, ironing board and start up supply of soap, paper towels, and toilet paper are provided .

The condo also has 3 TVs, DVD players, fishing poles and gear, tennis rackets, sand toys, books, magazines, puzzles, movies, board games, boogie boards, beach chairs and a beach umbrella, a cooler, floats and a beach cart for use while you stay there.

Mark and I also own and manage a condo on the World Famous Daytona Beach. We have built many relationships with our guests over the years as owners and have been blessed to have many of our guests return every year to stay in our Daytona condo again for their vacation. The condo was well stocked with items for the beach (wagon, chairs, sand toys, beach towels). Donna was amazing with her communication to make sure that we felt at home. Our son enjoyed the proximity to the pier for daily fishing. We also enjoyed the tennis court. Our kids loved the pool, but it only seemed to actually be heated for 1 of the days we were there, to no fault of Donna. We would definitely stay again!

Excellent location and amenities in the heart of it all on Anna Maria Island. This was our first trip to the island and we will definitely be back! The condo was exactly as presented and fully stocked with everything we needed! Towels, linens, beach and pool gear, all the kitchen needs, and games galore! Enough to host an epic game night with neighboring teens which became one of the highlights of our trip! Easy access to the bay side pier and quick trek across the street to the beautiful beach. Pool was never overcrowded. Easy and relaxing. Hosts couldn't have been nicer or more communicative. Will definitely book again when we're in the area!

Wonderful stay at runaway bay

This was our first time staying at Runaway Bay. I was surprised at how quiet the grounds were with the amount of condos. This place is right near the bay which was so convenient to walk to and watch for dolphins. All the beach equipment you could need and felt like “home.” We had a wonderful time!

Great Family Vacation Spot!!

The condo was in a perfect location and an ideal spot for a quiet and restful vacation with your family. The beach is a short walk and the pool was well maintained and had plenty of chairs for all the guests as well as areas of shade and umbrellas. Week in Paradise

Thia property is located 10 minutes walking distance to the beach. It's a cozy decorated beach condo that made the whole family feel at home. The pool area is great for the kids and BBQs are placed thru out the property. Due to the COVID19 the place was a bit unpopulated but it added to the relaxation. There are plenty of restaurants near by for every budget. Thank you Donna and Mark for letting us share a piece of your paradise.

Beautiful Condo and great location on the Island! Everything needed for a great day at the beach is provided – beach umbrella, beach chairs, cooler, towels, beach wagon, water toys and more. The condo has easy and walkable access to a pier overlooking the Bay where we saw beautiful sunrises along with dolphins on a couple of occasions. The beach on the Gulf is a very short walk from the condo and the sunsets are breathtaking. Donna was a wonderful host and was always available for questions.

Christmas of 2022 and we had a wonderful stay. The condo was very clean, well maintained and decorated nicely. The owner, Donna has this condo well stocked with all the things you would need for your stay including beach accessories. Donna was also very on top of our reservation and made a point to keep us very informed of all the condo instructions. She also went above and beyond by sending us an email with all the things to do on and around Anna Maria Island as well as their links. First timers to AMI and we couldn't have picked a better location to stay for our needs. Communication and ease of booking with Donna were fantastic. She is super responsive to any and all questions and has thought of everything to make life easier at this lovely condo. From the well equipped kitchen with all the spices to all of the beach gear; wagon, cooler, beach towels, toys and umbrellas you could possibly need. This is the perfect place to relax & unwind. We stayed Memorial Day week even though the island was crowded the beach across from condo was not bad and could easily find a spot. Beach and trolley access is in front of complex entrance. The condo had everything we needed to make our stay a great girls trip. All beach accessories are there to use with plenty of towels. Condo is within walking distance to Bridge Street, but recommend a car or trolley to get to the north end of the island. Communication with the owner was quick and easy. Donna provided excellent recommendations for food and entertainment. We had an issue with one of the toilets and Donna came to fix it the next morning. Could not have asked for a better response. I highly recommend staying at this condo. We will be back again.

Our stay at this beach condo was so wonderful we are already talking about a return visit! the owner's excellent communication made for a very easy rental experience. Runaway Bay itself is a very well maintained property and even though we were there during a holiday week it was serene and quiet. We have rented many condos from VRBO and this one has now become our favorite. It is located at the back of the property so there is no road noise but is still a quick and easy walk to the beach. The condo was comfortable in every way - warmly decorated with a beachy vibe, very clean, kitchen was stocked with any utensil or gadget you might need, plenty of towels, beach chairs, fishing poles, books, games, etc. With the inter-coastal waterway just behind the condo, the beach across the street with it's beautiful nightly sunsets and a free trolley to take you all around the island you will be in heaven.

Donna's condo was perfect for our vacation on Anna Maria. It was our first time on the island and we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The condo is centrally located, making it easy to get to either end of the island. And if you don't want to drive, you can just hop on the trolley which stops at the entrance to Runaway Bay. Beach access is right across the street. The condo was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. We appreciated the well stocked beach closet that had every supply we needed for the beach. My children also loved going to the pool at the condo complex. Donna is great to work with. She sent us all the necessary information about the condo as well information about the island and what to see and do. For first timers to Anna Maria, it was very helpful. I highly recommend this property and we hope to return!

WONDERFUL CONDO & OWNER

We had a wonderful time at Donna's condo. I never had to wonder where anything was. She had the entire condo extremely organized. She was very receptive to questions and clear in her responses. The location of the condo is perfect. Having two bedrooms with their own bath is perfect. The separation is enough so that there was privacy for guests. The Gulf is right across the street from Runaway Bay. The decor made you feel like you were in a little beach house. The condo has a large washer and dryer, which made things easy. The restaurants were great and close. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. We would recommend this unit to anyone. If you decide to rent this unit on AMI, you won't regret it.

Why they chose this property

Mark and I chose Anna Maria Island for it's ' Old Florida Style' and it's ' Island Time ' feel. We chose to purchase in Runaway Bay so that we could offer our guests resort style accommodations with many amenities on the property and in the condo. The beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico are located just across the street.

Runaway Bay is a ' Gulf to Bay 'complex located on Anna Maria Island just steps to the pristine beaches in front of the complex. You can also relax on the peaceful and calm waters of the Bay located directly outside of the condo. With tennis, shuffleboard, bocce, a large heated pool, BBQ grills, a fishing pier and an exercise room, there is something for everyone in your family here at the Runaway Bay Resort. Voted best resort for the past several years by the Bradenton Herald.
