Our charmingly furnished house with traditional Hawaiiana decor provides all the comforts of home in the world's most spectacular setting on Kauai, the 'Garden Island' of Hawaii. You will seldom need your car after arriving as charming Hanalei village is within walking distance with its excellent restaurants, lively night spots and shopping. Only a block and a half away is the world famous, crescent-shaped Hanalei Bay, ranked by National Geographic Traveler as one of the top ten beaches in the world.

Hanalei can only be reached over a series of quaint one-way bridges and is never overwhelmed by tourists. It is the home of many celebrities and famous writers and is noted for its amazing scenery and lush vegetation.

House is strictly limited to four people of any age -- babies are not exempt, sorry. We have a Cal King bed in one bedroom and a king in the other which can be divided into extra long twin beds for an additional charge of 100.00 plus tax.

Will consider stays of less than one week between gaps of six days or less. We rent one year in advance and ten months in advance for the summer season.

Pure bliss!

We were looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting, and we definitely got that from staying at Hale Lu Ya. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood, that was a 5 minute walk to the beach, and a 10 minute walk to the local town. This property was extremely well maintained, and the kitchen had all the things you would possibly need during the stay, and they were all high quality and in excellent working order.

When we needed to contact Clark with questions, he was very quick to respond, and was always friendly and professional. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to friends and family.

Nice place, close to the beach and restaurants

The home was nice and clean with a nicely stocked kitchen to cook with if you don’t want to eat out all the time. The neighbors are close but the trees are shrubs make a good barrier. From what we saw most places are very close to each other throughout the area. The beach is roughly two blocks away and the restaurants are two to three blocks away. The owner was a great host and provided a nice welcome packet for the house and area.

Beautiful property. Ideal location.

This was an ideal property for us. Walking distance to the beach, walking distance to restaurants and shops. I would recommend this property to family and friends. Its peaceful and located in Hanalei! Cant ask for much else.

The property managment team was also helpful, friendly and very responsive. Top notch!

Thanks Hanalei!

It was hard to leave this house and Hanalei. We celebrated our 28th anniversary here (we met near Hanalei 30 years ago!) and it was a great house to recharge our batteries and forget about work. Near the end of our stay, we met the owners who dropped off a plate of home made cookies! The booking agent, Clarke, was very quick to return emails and that process was smooth. Lots of good restaurants in the town but we mostly cooked in a well stocked & modern kitchen which was just lovely. We also shopped at some of the local farmers' markets and bought some fish caught that morning. It was all so relaxing and very quiet and comfy-cozy and we loved our king bed. We wish they could fit more than 4 here as we'd love to bring our daughter's family with her two girls—Next time we'll be checking out the other property next door. My husband and I have already recommended this house to our friends and family!

Best neighborhood in Hanalei

Our stay at the Hale lu ya vacation rental has become an annual event because we love it so much. The home is set in the best neighborhood in town and has tons of privacy-- just two blocks up from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The house is perfect for just a couple, a small family, or two couples and has all the comforts of home, with a wonderful deck that faces the gorgeous mountains of Hanalei. It is very well maintained and the caretakers and managers are the best. Our upcoming stay will be our tenth (I think) and as long as it is possible, we will be returning year-after-year.
