"We were looking for a safe place to visit during Covid with fewer people and we found the perfect place. The Melrose Beach had plenty of room to social distance and our dog was able to join us - her first trip to the ocean! This won't be our last trip to Daufuskie Island and we are already planning our next visit. Knowing now how the ferry ride and shuttle to the house work, it will be even more relaxing. "We had the best time at the beach house! Everything was clean and up to date. We rented the golf cart from owner (highly recommend) and had no problems navigating the island within a day! It really does feel like you have this secret place that’s protected by locals and also equally loved. We will absolutely be back to this property in the future. "We were a party of 9 adults on the island for 9 days. When we 1st pulled up to the property I was a bit concerned about the size from the outside, but once we were inside that was no longer a question. The place is incredible! Well maintained, clean, great layout for such a large group, and incredibly spacious. Slept 9 comfortably and we all had plenty of space. Everything was exactly as advertised and we had no issues at all with anything not working. Washer and dryer were very nice to have....
