About Bill and Holly O'Dwyer
We live nearby in Elberta, MI. We have 3 boys in Elementary School. I recently retired from The Federal Aviation Administration and my wife works at the local hospital in Frankfort.
Bill and Holly O'Dwyer purchased this Cabin in 1996
Why Bill and Holly O'Dwyer chose Beulah
This is an Up North Destination! We built this cabin in 1996. We chose this location for it's seclusion and proximity to the Platte River. Without any other homes in view, this truly feels private.
What makes this Cabin unique
Relaxing on the deck, listening to the river and watching kayaks and canoes drift by. Not a care in the world. Put your chair in the river and soak your feet. The river is crystal clear with a gravel bottom. Occasionally you will see fish swim by.

Beautiful location and very private
Clean, private, well maintained log house looking at Platte River. Everything was as described.
Beautiful, relaxing family vacation home
This was my family’s second time staying here, and it was just as great as we remembered it! The home is at the end of a long private drive, on which we occasionally spotted deer. It sits right next to the clear, fast-running Platte River. We enjoyed wading, watching kayaks go by, campfires near the shore, and the sounds of the water. The home is so clean, comfortable, and relaxing. It’s close, but not too close, to lots of activities we enjoyed: Sleeping Bear Dunes, canoe and kayak rentals, the charming towns of Empire, Beulah, and Frankfort, the Cherry Hut, the drive-in, putt-putt, and the wonderful botanical gardens in Traverse City. The only drawback was the single bathroom. We love this home, and look forward to returning!
Beautiful and relaxing cabin just feet from the river
Definitely would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a relaxing vacation or weekend right on the river
Wonderful place to stay!
Such a wonderful cabin! Loved being on river! So peaceful and serene. Six of us stayed here for my nephews wedding! Had a bonfire Friday night in the yard. Just perfect time with my kids!
Lovely and relaxing!
