Why Catherine chose Mammoth Mountain

As a family with 3 small boys, we traveled to Mammoth for family ski vacations and fell in love with peace, quiet and beauty that Mammoth gave us during our precious family time together. We chose this property because the location was in the heart of The Village and yet its quiet location was away from the noise.

Fall Trip

  • 5 of 5

The condo was in great shape. New paint and carpet was installed just before we arrived. Excellent price compared to units managed by the resort. This is an end unit therefore not much hall way noise.

I would certainly rent again.

The perfect condo for our trip.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 stayed in this condo in July 2016 and it was fantastic. Best rental experience in a long, long time, possibly ever. The owner was quick to respond, booking was easy, the management company very easy to deal with and attentive to any needs, the key bank in town was easy to find and we had no issues getting the keys. We had to contact the local management desk for something and they were quick and prompt. The unit itself was clean, comfortable, easy to find, and QUIET! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen nicely equipped (utensils, dishes, cooking pots/pans/dishes, salt/pepper only, plan accordingly!). I pretty much chose this unit for the bunk beds and the portable AC unit in the living room, and both were used and loved! My young kids thought they'd won the lottery when I told them there were bunk beds, and the portable AC was very much appreciated as the second half of our stay saw daytime temps in the mid-upper 80's. Overall, this unit was an absolute perfect fit for our family during our Mammoth trip. I will definitely come back to this place again for future trips.

Pristine condo with all the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. It was immaculate and had all the amenities we needed. There was a welcome basket with snacks when we arrived, and the kitchen was well- stocked with dishes and appliances. The beds were very comfortable and the unit was quiet as it faces away from the courtyard area of The Village and is a corner unit. My kids enjoyed the ping pong table and corn hole games they have in the courtyard area. We loved hiking to Devil's postpile and Rainbow falls, and the breakfast burritos and bagels at the NY Deli/bagel bakery were awesome. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location and nice unit

  • 4 of 5

This unit is in the back, a bit of a walk from the main lobby but quiet and view is not in the village which may be good when the partiers are in the jacuzzi or at the restaurants outside. Clean with double size bunk beds, 3 tvs, board games, a soft king bed and pull-out couch. Need to bring your own spices, plastic wrap/tin foil, napkins. No air conditioning but they have fans. Loved being able to walk to the little grocery store in the village, get dinner or coffee at Starbucks. We also took the gondola to and from the slopes - didn't need to fight the crowds in the parking lot at Canyon Lodge.

Owner's Response: Thank you Lisa for taking the time writing a review of our property. You are correct there is no central air condition. Most of the year it isn't needed in this area. However, in the summer months we set up a portable air conditioner near the living room wall that works well. Hope you come again.

Great Condo in the Village

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time staying in Mammoth at the Grand Sierra Lodge. It is a terrific location in the village and we loved being steps aways from the Gondola, great restaurants (we loved Campo & 53 Kitchen) and shopping.

The condo had everything we needed and more. We were traveling with 4 adults and 1 child. My husband, son and I stayed in the room with the bunk beds. They are full size beds w/ a third trundle that pulls out. It was perfect. Might seem a little tight at first, but once we put our stuff away (nice size closet and lots of drawers) and stashed suit cases, there was plenty of room. TV's in each room, which was great for my 8 year old who wanted to just veg out after being on the hill. He would chill out in the top bunk and watch cartoons and the adults could read or relax in the living room, etc. We gave the Master Bedroom to my Aunt & Uncle who are in their 50's and they were very comfortable. This room is very spacious, with a large bathroom. The living room isn't huge, but totally efficient (pull out couch and ottoman pulls out to single bed). All 5 of us sat in there comfortably watching a movie. We also utilized the dining room table for breakfast and late night card games. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need (including blender and waffle iron). We made breakfast every morning, but there is a starbucks just downstairs as well a bagel shop and general store. So many convenient places (spa, yoga, bars, ice cream, ski shops and rental places). When you're traveling with a bunch of people and kids, it is so nice just to be able to walk out your door and be in the heart of the village. There was also a gym, pool and jacuzzi. Plus, the parking was underground and also convenient. Board games, sled, bathroom toiletries available to use in the condo as well.

Seriously, can't say enough great things. We would stay here again.

Might be worth mentioning that we stayed during a Wednesday - Saturday, so wasn't as crowded.

Only item that might be useful to add: Full length mirror in Bunk Bed room behind door b/c if someone is in bathroom you could potentially get ready in the bedroom.

Thanks for everything! Hope to stay againl
