Peaceful setting in the woods with all the comforts of home. Wake up surrounded by the serenity of nature, where you'll encounter a variety of wildlife...deer, elk, birds, rabbits, in your own front yard. Enjoy a leisurely hike, right out your front door, or just a few miles away you'll find trails to challenge the most avid hikers. Trout/Salmon fishing, rafting, soaking in the hot springs, skiing, biking all within a lovely 1-25 mile drive. Fine dining and entertainment all near by. Don't forget to ride the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Train! For winter sports fun, it's just a short drive to Durango Mountain Resort or Wolf Creek. But if your idea of fun is just hanging out at the cabin and taking a nice winter walk, you can hike or snow shoe in the freshly fallen white stuff, then run inside to warm by the fire and sip hot chocolate! Ice skate at Chapman Ice Rink or experience a sleigh ride in Durango. Phenomenal sledding hills are located in our mountain community, at the nearby lake and park. Experience the peace and serenity of our little piece of heaven. You'll no doubt be planning your next visit, before you even begin to head back home! Unfortunately, I am allergic to dogs and cats so we do not allow them.

Wonderful place near Bayfield!!

We came to Colorado for a volleyball competition. We were close to all of her games and our family of 6 had a wonderful, relaxing time in this very comfortable home!

Amazing winter vacation

Beautiful log cabin in the Colorado Mountains. The cabin has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. We even went looking for land to build a cabin just like this one. We had the best experience with this rental.

spring break 2025

A wonderful experience for my family and I. We enjoyed the comfort of the cabin and all the views available. We had some snow, visited Durango, CO. We traveled on the train, and had a lot of fun.

Home Sweet Cabin

Just the coziest place for my husband and two adult children to stay during our vacation to the Durango area. Well stocked kitchen with spices galore, a grill, a H-U-G-E TV and comfy sofas and beds. Place was very accommodating, quiet, and relaxing. Owner ensured our arrival and departure went smoothly and provided simple instructions making our stay easily manageable. Certainly enjoyed the location especially in the fall where nature's colors are abundant. Would definitely visit again.

Excellent Vacation

This property lived up to its ratings. It was very comfortable, deer and turkey everywhere. We saw bears as we traveled into Durango. Very quiet location too. The 4 of us had a great time.

Quite with wildlife

We loved our stay. It was so peaceful and the deer and turkeys just walked about. The beds were very comfortable and it was so quite that we slept well. The cabin had everything we needed and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great place!
