Waikomo Stream Villas is an intimate 3.9 acre resort consisting of beautiful tropical plants, a pool, and wading pool. Waikomo Stream Villas is located near beaches, dining, shopping and golfing.

Brand new to the rental market in 2014 after extensive renovations – check out the video.

Our condo has approximately 1000 square feet of living area, plus an open-front lanai of approximately 50 square feet and a covered rear lanai of approximately 110 square feet off the living room. The front lanai is surrounded by tropical plants and is a perfect spot to catch the morning sun for that early breakfast or mid-morning coffee. The rear lanai off the living room is private, overlooking lush tropical plants and the tropical Waikomo Stream. The Waikomo Stream offers sanctuary for native plants, tropical birds and other tropical species. There are a few frogs and roosters that add their own island uniqueness. The rear lanai is a great place to catch the afternoon and late afternoon sun. It is a short walk down the street to the ocean where you will see giant green sea turtles, whales (December to May), gorgeous beaches and beautiful Hawaiian sunsets.

Our condo is a ground-floor corner unit all on one level. Being located on the corner allows for natural light during the day. There is no need for air conditioning with all the windows able to open allowing for fresh air to enter into the condo. Ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom get the air moving when required. At night or on those cloudy days, the condo is lit with dimmable LED lights in the kitchen and dining room allowing you to get that perfect ambience.

The spacious kitchen area features two island cabinets and pantry that is all hand crafted on Kauai and is made out of beautiful red ribbon-grained sapele mahogany. There is a matching large bathroom vanity with a granite counter.

The kitchen cabinets have thirty-six inch wide granite counter tops, a spice rack, flat pan storage area, six large wide drawers that are self-closing and upper cabinets above the microwave and refrigerator. All the cooking appliances, cookware and utensils are provided and are of top quality.

The pantry, conveniently located near the kitchen area, has sliding drawers for storage and easy access at the lower levels.

The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The controls for the water are at the open end. Once the water is turned on, you can wait until the water is warm before you step inside. The shower has two shower heads, one to adjust for the type of water flow you would like, and the other is a detachable shower head. If you prefer a bath, the shower has been designed to turn into a tub for your bathing.

In the living room there is a 55” smart HDTV, Wi-Fi, wireless internet, wireless printer and a private telephone for local and long-distance calling to mainland USA, Alaska and Canada. The sofa turns into a queen-sized bed.

The dining room table seats six comfortably with a buffet and large oval mirror with palms leaves carved into the deep red mahogany wood. A Haleiwa pole lamp provides lighting for reading or relaxing. All the chairs and sofas are comfortable to sit in. You get that feeling of elegance and luxury.

Do you want to write a postcard or catch-up on your emails? Just off the kitchen area is a writing desk provided for those purposes.

This condo is designed for maximum comfort and relaxation, whether it is just for sleeping at night or spending the entire day indoors. We are sure that once you have stayed in our island home, you will want to return again and again. If you are arriving on a late flight, we would be happy to provide you with groceries and supplies to start your visit in a relaxing manner for a small convenience fee.

About Ed & Sharon Geall

Sharon and Ed live on and operate a grain farm in southern Saskatchewan, Canada. Ed is a retired electrical professional engineer and worked in the telecommunications industry. Sharon works part time as a merchandizer. Sharon is an accomplished seamstress and quilter. We have two married children and currently six amazing grandchildren.

We found that we no longer enjoyed our cold, snowy winters and looked for a place to escape. After exploring the other Hawaiian Islands we found Kauai to be our favorite. We have always enjoyed renting at Waikomo Stream Villas. It is a perfect spot because of the weather, friendly people, safe beaches and the closeness of all the activities we enjoy. When this condo came on the market, we made the decision to purchase.

What makes this condo unique

Communicating with our family is very important and running a farming business remotely requires good reliable communications. We use video conferencing and long distance phone calling several times per day. This condo is very comfortable, bright and the grounds are beautiful. Our condo has become our island home. We believe our condo at Waikomo Stream Villas is good value for those looking for a wonderful vacation getaway.

very clean, spacious, great location

very spacious condo, quiet area, great location next to 2 shopping areas with highly rated food. Very easy access to popular beaches and hiking. Sharon and ed were very generous providing welcome snack and fruit, towels, new dish sponges, paper towels and soaps/shampoos and conditioner. Kitchen well stocked with updated appliances. Neighbors are very friendly. Lots of surrounding foliage keeps the condo cool even in the hottest afternoons without central AC. Having a washer dryer was super helpful, allowed us to pack lightly which hard with a toddler. Sharon and Ed are very accommodating allowing us to check in early. Sharon and Ed respond to my emails within an hour.

Clean and comfortable

Overall, i was impressed with the cleanliness and the condition of the condo. When we first walked in, the first thing we noticed was how clean it smelled. Everything has been well taken care of. There were plenty of necessities in the condo. The owners were very attentive and willing to answer any questions or concerns. They also had lots of instructions and recommendations printed out for us.

My husband and I swam in the pool a couple times. The water was a little chilly, but it was clean and felt refreshing. There is NOT a hot tub. For some reason i thought there was, but the other body of water in the picture is a little kiddie pool. When my husband and i went, it as late afternoon and there was only a few other people there. it felt private and quiet.

The only thing I didn't care for was the bed. It was much harder than I would've preferred it. It also would've been nice to have some type of A/C unit for bedtime when trying to sleep, BUT...... i know its not common in Kauai. The breezes that went through the condo were very nice.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the condo and appreciated being welcomed in Ed and Sharon's home. Thank you.

Beautiful condo, beautiful property.

This was our second time staying here. The owners are really great to work with. The condo is nicely remodeled with everything you need in the kitchen and for the beach. Super great location. You can walk to restaurants and to the ocean to watch the sunset. Love it here!

Superb condo!

We spent 5 nights at this condo-- 2 adults and 2 kids ages 11 and 12. This condo was very clean, organized and so comfortable. The kitchen and unit was well supplied ( beach chairs/ boogie boards/ coolers/ beach towels ...) and the owners very attentive and thoughtful. There is no A/C in this unit but ceiling fans in every room and a cool feel throughout-- good air flow and 2 box fans at night helped make things more comfortable temperature- wise. It was particularly hot and very humid the week of our stay. We have already recommended Sharon and Ed's condo to friends/ coworkers of ours at Alaska Air group! Very nice place to vacation at, good location to upscale shops and restaurants and great beaches.
