Beautiful property and view

  • 4 of 5

Purple Haze will take your breath away as you step inside and see the view. The house is very spacious; bedrooms, bathrooms and two living areas along with two levels of outdoor decks, and an additional loft for spreading out. Kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans, dishware, glassware, however was lacking in kitchen linens. Not a single dishtowel or washcloth to be found! The bathroom linens were also a bit scratchy and worn - I would perhaps bring my own kitchen and bath towels if we were to visit again. Otherwise, the hottub, fireplace, dining areas and other amenities were perfect. Enough parking for 2 cars, possibly a third. Will happily return to Purple Haze on our next visit!

Amazing Home and View

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed the Purple Haze. The House was very Clean and the views from the back deck were amazing. We had an awesome vacation in the Mountains. Purple Haze is tucked back on a hill side just outside of Boone City Limits and was a perfect location to get to the Blue Ridge Parkway and into Boone. Was peaceful and quite. If you listen really closely you will be able to hear Tweetsie Railroad Train blowing the horn.

Purple Haze was awesome. We really enjoyed all of the amenities that the house had to offer: the view, hot tub, furnishings, etc. I have zero complaints about my time there.

We had a great time at the Purple Haze. They need to put some dish towels in the kitchen though.

Purple Haze is a great property with an amazing view!

  • 4 of 5

My daughter was getting married nearby and we chose Purple Haze based on it's size and location to the venue. While the description reads that it sleeps 10, be aware that the parking is a bit small for that number and we were constantly juggling cars to come & go. The home is decorated very tastefully and the living area is quite roomy with a fantastic view. I personally slept in a basement bedroom and the mattress (or the frame) squeaks terribly and may need replacing. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary gadgets, pots & pans, etc to prepare meals. The weather was hot so we adjusted the a/c to be comfortable on the main floor but the basement got really cold! The shower in the basement does not drain properly and I was standing in 4 inches of water by the time I was finished. Overall, this is a great property but I feel like it may need a little extra TLC in some areas.

Perfect setting with a wonderful view.

  • 5 of 5

The Purple Haze was a great place for us to stay. The main level, the lower living area and the loft provided ample space for our group of seven. The location is spot on as it was easy to visit the surrounding areas and be able to return at the end of the day to a comfortable setting and enjoy the wonderful mountain view. We appreciate the care the owners have taken of the house and will recommend it to our friends.
