Wonderful Mountain Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This mountain home was everything we were hoping for our family vacation. It is perched on a mountainside, close enough to Boone and Blowing Rock that you can easily enjoy all the delicious food and activities of the area but far enough up the mountain that you feel secluded. No one is exaggerating about the view-it’s stunning! The house was clean and comfortable with a well-stocked kitchen. Owners are very responsive if there are any issues. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck during the last snow of the season. The house feels cozy but has a good amount of space for larger families. It was also a nice bonus that we were able to bring our dog with us. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for our weekend retreat!

  • 5 of 5

My family and friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Purple Haze even though the ski season ended too early in the NC mountains. The cabin was clean and well-appointed with commanding views of the valley and mountains. The hot tub was ideal in soothing our aching muscles after a day of hiking and fishing. Linda was very responsive and helpful throughout!

Thanks again,

The Hauser Family

Owner's Response: Dear Hauser Family, If only the weather had cooperated to bring snow for skiing. But how nice to hear that the cabin and its amenities enhanced your family's memories. Your gracious review is very appreciated. We would be happy to host you again! Sincerely, Linda

A little slice of heaven!

  • 5 of 5

House was located perfectly near everything we wanted to do and was well stocked with everything we needed. The view was breathtaking and the nights in the hot tub after skiing at Appalachian Ski Mountain were just what we needed to escape reality.

Head the warning and make sure you have four wheel drive in the winter months but the view is totally worth it!
