Our son works at Vogel State Park and lives in Blairsville, so we were between both. Nice trips to Helen, Blue Ridge, and went to Murphy NC 40 min away to the Casino. There is a wonderful winery just up the hill with a spa.
Beautiful cabin just outside of Blairsville. Easy check in and out process. Of note there is not a hot tub as the listing said when we booked. There is a jacuzzi tub in the master but not a true hot tub. Was looking forward to the hot tub after an event so would not have rented this place if the listing was accurate.
The cabin was great and very comfortable. The amenities and features exceeded our expectations. The proximity to necessities in town are convenient, yet the cabin has really good privacy. Definitely will stay again!
Great getaway after Christmas. Close to multiple walking trails, vineyards and small town shopping.Beautiful Mountain View’s.Cabin was very roomy with a great wrap around porch.
Really nice, clean and well appointed cabin/home.
Close to town, close to lots of stuff in the mountains.
We had a great time both at the cabin, and enjoying the surrounding areas.
This cabin was very well maintained and in a beautiful location. We truly enjoyed the experience and got a chance to disconnect from the busy city life. The host was extremely helpful and very responsive. Loved it.
Our grown children and their dogs came with us for a great stay. We loved the views and the town. We saw deer right outside the door and had snow flurries on 2 different days. The enclosed porch was perfect for the dogs to run around. Loved the gas fireplace and the fire pit, too. The place was so roomy and open. Host was great!
This was an impeccably clean, lovely cabin. The kitchen is large and well stocked. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The wraparound porch was roomy and secure for our dogs to wander while we enjoyed morning coffee. The furnace kept the rooms really comfortable even set at 68 degrees on cold nights. The fireplace heated the living area very quickly to prevent the furnace from running. We loved the large square kitchen table. I was able to work a puzzle on half while still having space to eat! I would be remiss if I didn’t comment on one thing that was unclear to me in the listing. First, there is no hot tub. There is a jacuzzi bathtub in the master bath, but you aren’t going to relax on the deck with your spouse in a hot tub to stargaze and share about the day or soothe sore muscles. There were two “awkward” things. One, the jacuzzi tub in the Master Bath is also the shower area. It can be difficult to get in and out especially if you have mobility issues. The owner has taken great care to make it safe by installing anti-slip strips and a wall handle, but it’s a pretty big step in and out. The guest shower may be a better option if the large step is an issue. The second is lighting at the stove area. While the kitchen is well lit, the area where you cook is dim. There’s a light under the microwave but it isn’t very bright which made it somewhat dark sand shadowed when cooking at night. The owner is responsive & we really enjoyed our first VRBO experience!

Needs improvement
This property was in a great location, but it needs some work. Instead of them working on the downstairs, they have issues needing improvement. There was dust on the closet doors and I’m highly allergic to dust. The ceiling can lights some were missing. There were doors missing on the master bathroom closet and room with toilet in it. There were obviously doors there prior. The mast sink was nasty and the faucet had old toothpaste on it. The grill was nasty snd appeared not to have been cleaned in months. There was dog hair in the dishes so everything used had to be cleaned. The inside has logs needs to be replaced. My husband works for a gas company and he said if he answered a call with logs in that shape, he would have to red tag it so it couldn’t be used. Definitely not worth the money to stay here

Dear Ms. Collins,
Thank you for your input/review of your stay at our Blairsville, GA home. We value our guests opinions and pride ourselves on a pleasant experience - which is first and foremost our main goal. I would like to address each of your concerns here with-in.
*dust on the closet door: I apologize that there was dust on a closet door. Our housekeeper is excellent at what she does. She has been with us for years. I'm sure that the "closet door" was an oversite and this has been noted and discussed.
*All of the canned lighting in our home is installed and operating to the discretion of the Fire Marshalls codes. The canned light in questions is a fully functions fixture that has a standard bulb screwed into it instead of the larger bulb. This illuminates light and is to code by the Fire Marshall **They visit our home (along with the Gas company) every year for an inspection to ensure safety and security of our guests. The inspection sheet is posted on a wall in our home for all guest to view. I am surprised that you did not see this hanging on the wall of our home!
*The "logs" that you were referring to- I am assuming are the gas fireplace logs. As mentioned above, we have a Gas inspection done every year. I am happy to say that our fireplace has passed and is documented on the inspection log posted.
*Master Bath sink We live in the mountains and our water is drawn from a deep well. All of the local wells are considered "hard water Wells" or water that has a high mineral content from Magnesium, calcium or potassium. These minerals calcify on fixtures and appear as a white stain or build up on faucets and/or sink basins. The sink is a copper color to mimic antique and magnifies the calcification stain. I can assure you it was not "old tooth paste".
*Grill- Our grill was purchased New in July of 2022. Many guests have enjoyed cooking on it and spending time on the deck. All grills that are used have burn-off from every use. This has been discussed with our housekeeper at hand.
In summary, we aim to cater to our guests in every way possible. Perhaps if these items were that bothersome to you, a phone call would have been appreciated so that your needs would be satisfied.
We wish you well and send Peace your way.
We have stayed in many cabins in Blairsville in the past. This cabin takes the cake. It is so roomy , comfortable, and COZY! IT IS A 15 ON THE SCALE OF 1-10. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. THE VIEW ID BREATHTAKING!
My spouse and two of my adult children stayed at this large cabin that had a room for everyone. The master was gorgeous, with a very comfy bed. The views were awesome during the fall time and the leaves showing off with brilliant colors. The kitchen is large and comes with all the amenities. The unfinished basement is going to be a great asset to this property. We loved the fireplace, deck and ping pong table. Would love to stay here again with all my kids for a longer stay. Two nights was not enough. Thanks for a great weekend.
Place was perfect for our family get away for a long weekend. Centrally located to many of the places we wanted to visit in north Georgia while here. The only thing I would recommend is, if you do not like harder mattresses, you may want to bring a topper. Other than that everything was great!
House is clean and in a great location. The neighborhood is quiet. My wife and I love to cook so the kitchen was disappointing. No real useable cookware one small non stick pan. Lighting at the stove is non existent, we used a small lamp on the counter to see what we were cooking. White microwave black stove and refrigerator, refrigerator doesn’t fit the cabinets and space. We bought pans in Blairsville to use. The grill I would throw away, burners are rusted through. The main bath is an accident waiting to happen without any handrail to enter or exit the tub. Floors get wet as the shower curtain doesn’t cover the entire tub. Also makes for a cold showering experience. We had to ask for more trash bags they supplied two. Response was for extended stays (one week) we could purchase some, but they did have a couple more dropped off. Hate to be a negative review but the simple things that can make or break a stay just weren’t there for us. Again, great location and clean, but you can definitely tell it’s just a rental being kept to the bare minimum of functionality.
My family has used VRBO at least 40 times and this was one of our best experiences yet. The cabin was spacious, well stocked, great location and clean, clean, CLEAN! I had to contact the host Maureen a couple of times about issues on my end and she was super prompt with her response and could not have been more accommodating. Thank you!!
1. Great location. Close to downtown Blairsville and easy to get to Helen and Blue ridge. 5 stars here.
2. Very spacious with all amenities needed: cable, wifi, etc. 5 stars
3. Very well equipped kitchen and all large and small appliances work as expected. 5 stars
4. Master Bedroom and Bath need some improvement: mattress, pillows, comforter, John’ door. 4 stars
5. Other Rooms. Pillows. 4 stars
6. Instructions to operate thermostat, fireplace, cable, grill, etc. OUTSTANDING. 5 stars
7. Deck area and grill. Floodlight to grill at nights needs fixing. 4 stars.
8. Contact the owner for anything. Ms. Maureen is super good getting back to you. 5 stars.
Overall is a very good cabin. Very comfortable and spacious. You cant be wrong if you decide to go with this unit.
We were in town for a wedding at the Christmas tree farm, so we knew the bride and groom had already researched when was the optimum Fall color weekend! The view from the cabin’s master bedroom full length windows and deck was spectacular! The double-sided propane fireplace was just what this South Florida couple wanted for in-cabin times. The outside fire pit was perfect for a small purchase of firewood at the Blairsville Ingel’s (aisle 27 :-). We also found rotisserie chickens, deli made pizzas, mix snd match craft beers, etc. and used the cabin key fob for special pricing……nice touch!
Hiking the park, disc golf, wine tasting just up from the cabin were all wonderful (well, you can skip the Norton variety grape one), but the others were better than we’d imagined and the bar manager was a delight. The bedrooms of the cabin are all spread apart for privacy and the place feels much larger than the listing gives the impression of. A downside is that one bedroom doesn’t have a closet (we were there with attire for a wedding), and that all mattresses, while clean, need updated. The one without the closet is very hard…some may like that, I don’t know. The master tub/shower is quite a climb up and down on glossy. wet tiles as the shower curtain covers only one of the three sides. And all three sides are stepped up. I wouldn’t want to visit at an age any older than I am now, I’ll just say, and I’m pretty spry. It’s also cold in there. The kitchen is well appointed and we found everything we needed. Even with the master bath concerns, it’s still a solid 5 star cabin and clean as can be! A real treat!!!
