Overview

About the property

Cabin, 2-3 Bedrooms + 2-3 Baths, Sleeps 2-8 (Read full description)

Welcome to Bear It All! This wonderfully constructed cabin, located in a retirement community in the majestic mountains of beautiful Blairsville Georgia, offers everything you would want in a peaceful and exciting getaway! As you may have already figured out, the motif for Bear It All is, well, bears! We are available for rental as a 2 bedroom or 3 bedroom cabin (either option affords you this wonderful cabin all to yourself) so call us Today! All rates quoted are for the 2 bedroom 2 bath option (see notes below rates).

When you walk up onto the wraparound covered porch, you are greeted by four of the most comfortable rocking chairs ever made (we have 6 rockers on two levels), offering wonderful opportunities for sharing coffee and sunrises or drinks and sunsets! Will you head to the enormous screened porch with bar and oversized Jacuzzi hot tub or decide to come inside and see what else Bear It All has to offer? The choice is yours, but for now, let us head inside the cabin.

Upon entering the spacious cabin, you will find yourself in one of the coziest vaulted family rooms ever constructed. Beautiful embroidered fabric sofas and loveseats will provide hours of cuddling in front of one of the five flat-screen television sets or the romantic gas log fireplace. Keep going and you will arrive in the fully-furnished kitchen and inviting dining room where you can cook up a storm or enjoy snacks and ice cold beverages. All necessary appliances are provided for your convenience. Please note, per guest comments, that additional place settings have been purchased and there should be at least 10 settings available.

You may now proceed to the main floor bath or the spacious second bedroom. The bedroom features ample closet space, wonderful views, a large dresser, smart alarm clock/radio, phone, and a 27-inch TV with satellite.

All wood stairs lead you up to the 'Reading Room' loft where you can relax in the most comfortable seat in the house (the pappason) and read your favorite novel or pick out one of our mountain offerings from the Canoe Library.

Once you have finished your book, you will want to retire to the vaulted master bedroom where you can freshen up for dinner in your private bathroom or kick back, relax, and watch a show on your 27-inch television. Step outside through french doors onto your private, covered, second-floor balcony and sit in one of the two Amish rocking chairs with separate foot rockers and take in a gorgeous mountain sunset. After your sunset, you may want to change into a bathing suit and head outside to the enormous screened porch bar area, but do not forget your favorite beverage! The master bedroom also has smart alarm clock/radio and a phone.

Out back, you will find a fantastic deck with a wonderful, four-burner, gas grill that cooks steaks to perfection! Head on into the screened porch, jump into the hammock chair and swing around or park it at the corner cafe breakfast nook, or just recline in the two padded lounge chairs. Don't forget to enjoy some quiet leisure time in the seven-person, top-of-the-line, Jacuzzi Hot Tub.

(Note: This cabin is located in a retirement community. As such, there are ordinances about noise levels. If you are planning to be loud and boisterous, this cabin is not for you, but if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, then we welcome you.)

After drying off, head down to the finished basement for a game of Ping-Pong on your professional Stiga table, park it at the new folding bar or poker table and take in a movie or some sports on the new basement television set. If you have chosen the 3BR 3BA option, then unlock the 3rd master suite (separate key code will be given) and enjoy your spacious newly completed private basement oasis. Or, if you are feeling outdoorsy, choose to take a refreshing walk down the gravel road. Either way, you are sure to enjoy yourself here at Bear It All!

Bear It All is completely furnished to suit your every need. All of the walls are 100% white pine with NO DRYWALL! All of the floors are 100% yellow pine. There is more than adequate closet space and dressers for clothing. With five televisions, all with Dish Network satellite TV, you will not be far from your favorite shows or sporting events. If it is raining, better yet! You'll love the sound of the rain pitter pattering on your Tin Roof (well, it's really steel), especially while you lounge in the Hot Tub!

Need to catch up on some emails or work that requires internet access? No Problem! We have just installed HIGH SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS!

Do not forget to walk down to your private deck overlooking the creek!

Note: With the 3 bedroom 3 bath option this cabin can comfortably sleep 6 adults. We do have 2 queen sized blow-up mattresses that can accommodate 4 more teens/children or adults, if absolutely necessary. The sofa and love seat are large enough for children to sleep on, as well, but are not pull-outs.

About Craig

My name is Craig Levine and I am a realtor who has seen tons of homes over my 20 year career. Having seen so many homes, I had a good idea of how to turn BearItAll into a wonderful vacation home with all of the amenities that I would want at my primary residence without all of the commotion.

Craig purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Craig chose Northeast Mountains

I chose this Blairsville location because it is central to so many activities in the mountains. From hiking the Appalachian Trail (10 minutes away) to boating and fishing on 3 major lakes (30 minutes away) to having drinks in the Bavarian town of Helen (25 minutes away), BearItAll is conveniently located, yet, in the midst of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

What makes this cabin unique

I love to hike and am always hitting the plethora of wonderful trails within 20 minutes of the cabin. I also have a motorcycle and love to get out on the scenic roadways in the vicinity. The main reason I come up here is to enjoy some rest and relaxation. The BearItAll cabin has been designed with an escape in mind.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Bear it all was the perfect choice for my teddy bear of a husband. But Craig, my house at home has more bears than yours except for the live one that frightened me on our arrival. Cheston was most helpful and put my mind at ease about the bear. The week went by too fast as we golfed, enjoyed meals at Fatz Café and visited a wonderful place called Foxfire over by Mountain city. Missed seeing the deer but I guess they were well fed in the woods. The hot tub was great and we never did make it to play ping-pong as steps are a problem for Teddy. Thanks again for a lovely vacation!

This is the second year we have come to this cabin. It had everything we needed to make our stay super enjoyable. There is so much to do in and around Blairsville. Helton Creek Falls, Vogel State Park, Brasstown Bald, tubing, etc. We especially like coming back to the cabin after a full day of sight seeing and soaking in the hot tub. We also loved just sitting on the front porch watching the birds early in the morning. Nice, quiet peaceful!

Owner's Response: Cindy, We are so thrilled to have you back and really appreciate you saying such wonderful things about the cabin. BearItAll truly is a great escape from the stresses of everyday life and we're so glad your family had a joyful vacation. You are right, Blairsville is such a neat town and we are fortunate to be located so close to a plethora of fun activities and destinations. Coming back to the hot tub after a full day of exploring or hiking is heavenly, as well! We hope to have you back next year and wish you and the family the best. Craig

Beautiful location. Very quiet. Accommodations were comfortable.

Overall we were happy with it. We were told before we got there two burners were not working on the stove. Would have been nice if that was repaired. Nice place overall though and clean.

Owner's Response: Sorry Jennifer, we did not speak with anyone nor email anyone about the stove not working. I've spoken with several guests after your stay and the cabin cleaning crew and all have said the stove works fine so not sure where the confusion is. Anyway glad you had a good time and that you thought the place was nice overall and clean!

Owner's Response: Christi, Thanks so much for staying with us at the BearItAll cabin! As you mentioned, there are so many activities and sites to see all within a short drive of the cabin that's why it makes such a good base camp for your adventure. We're glad you enjoyed the wonderful hot tub, as well! We hope to have you back again, soon! Craig

Knights vacation 07-01-17 Beautiful Cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was beautiful, however if you plan on cooking make sure you bring pans or skillets the ones there are peeling. The bath tub upstairs drains very slow. The cleaning person needs to get the cob Webb's down from the entrance ways to The doors upstairs and the bathrooms The area is beautiful. White water rafting @ Rolling Thunder in McCaysville Tennessee is awesome the guides are great and made our trip on the water a blast !!! Pappy's Moonshine distillery is great a must do if you like Moonshine !!! Our teenage kids loved the Big Adventures at Cool River Adventures. The tubing there was not that great ( over crowded). VRBO site did not say this cabin was in a retirement area and no one can be outside after 10 pm which was a little upsetting since the hot tub would have been great after our time in town, however by the time we got back we couldn't enjoy it as we hoped. Over all our experience was wonderful and the cabin is beautiful!!

Owner's Response: Michelle, Thanks for the nice review. The area is truly beautiful and relaxing! I'd certainly recommend white water rafting on the Nantahala or Ocoee River with Wildwater Rafting. We have purchased new pans and skillets, addressed the upstairs tub, and cleaned any cob webs. Although we are in a retirement community, you are allowed to use the hot tub after 10pm as long as you respect the neighbors and are quietly reserved. Sound travels an amazing distance in the mountains at night. We're glad you had a good time and hope to have you back, soon! Craig
