About Richard - Owner/Manager

My wife and I have lived in North Georgia since 1989. The mountains have always held a special place for us. We found our special Edelweiss Cabin last year and now have this remarkable cabin to share.

Richard - Owner/Manager purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Richard - Owner/Manager chose Northeast Mountains

There are a lot of mountain cabins to choose from. Many are rustic and have a mountain feel, but few are actually on the river and border National Forest. Being located across the river from Highway 60, helps the cabin be quiet and have an isolated feeling. We have put a lot of upgrades into the property, to enhance your visit.

What makes this cabin unique

What makes our Edelweiss Cabin unique is the very homey feel you experience in this cabin. It is large enough to be a full sized home, and the furnishings and décor will make you feel as though you are at home. All of the modern amenities are there, but in a very quiet, deep woods atmosphere.

Perfect for our last minute get-away!

  • 5 of 5

Our family made a spontaneous weekend trip to the mountains, and we were so blessed that this home was available. The house is so nice, and the river being so close is awesome! We enjoyed exploring the area and hanging out in tubes anchored in the river! It was perfect for our family.. and we would definitely go back!

This property was amazing. The view from the porch was beautiful and relaxing all at the same time.

Definitely a place I would visit again. The house was so welcoming felt like a home away from home. The owner of the property was very nice and informative about the surrounding area. We are from out of state so the information came in handy. I could go on and on about this place but instead I will just say you cant go wrong with this amazing property.

Really great!

This one is a must-visit! It's our 3rd or 4th rental here, and was great, as always. Richard is super easy to work with and a gracious host. Thanks again, Mike

Perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a great place to get away for some relaxation in the North GA mountains. You can spend your time just listening to the river, go hiking, fishing, tubing, kayaking, or just sitting on the porch or outside by the fire pit. Some of our family camped nearby at Cooper Creek, but this was perfect for the non-tent campers to stay and was conveniently close for us to go back and forth for our visit. The owners have made their home very inviting for all guests. We will definitely plan another trip to this cabin, hopefully soon!

Overall, the cabin was as expected! We enjoyed our stay!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the cabin as it is as pictured & was well appointed with all the items we needed. We used the kayaks & tubes a couple times, as weather permitted. The hot tub is small, so we didn't use it much! We never had any cell service, although Richard has an AT&T booster. We attempted several times to connect with Richard's assistance. He is contacting AT&T to see why this is a problem & hopefully will resolve for future guest. We did have WiFi service. Our biggest disappointment was the internet tv. With 2 days of heavy rain & predicted storms we would have liked to have been able to watch some local weather & news! The cabin has easy access and there are some very good hiking trails. So, there is plenty to do when Mother Nature cooperates! We would recommend this cabin for future guests.
