Beautiful & Charming Boathouse Vacation

This charming boathouse located right on the marina was just as lovely, clean and perfectly located as is described. We came for a girls trip to explore Charlevoix and some nearby MI towns and loved it. House was clean, best location, and Michelle was super responsive to anything we needed. Great restaurants and shops all in walking distance, and there was even a Farmers Market in town one morning (Thursday)! We would definitely return, the Boathouse was a perfect vacation spot.

Family vacation

Everything was as advertised. Views were fantastic. Location was ideal. Cleanliness and amenities were first rate. We had everything we needed and everything worked. The pool was also very enjoyable.

Great Stay with a View

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. Perfect location into Charlevoix and walkable. Everything in the condo was clean and organized. The recommendations in the welcome book were very helpful. A great place to stay if you are vacationing in the area. The balcony view was beautiful. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Nice clean property in a great location!

My boys and I enjoyed our visit to Charlevoix, and utilizing this rental unit. There were 3 of us, and we had plenty of room for the 4 day stay. It was very clean. I would recommend this rental!

Great Memorial Day Weekend

Perfect location for our family weekend getaway! Would strongly recommend to anyone coming to the area. The condo is thoughtfully stocked and comfortable. The view is GORGEOUS. Walkable to a fun beach/playground/park and a bar/restaurant with food trucks and excellent drink options! A longer walk to downtown Charlevoix but very doable and beautiful!

Beautifully sunrise views

Charming and convenient. It is tiny but worked perfectly for two of us. One note: it is technically one and a half bathrooms. No shower or tub in the second bathroom. Location is perfect. Close to everything you could wush to do in Northern Michigan.

Beautiful place. Gorgeous view. Top stair to loft dicey. Got cold at night. A extra blanket for uptairs bed would help. No condiments were there. Would happily have brought my own if we weren't told they would be there.

Charlevoix over Labor Day

My wife and I stayed in this waterfront condo. We enjoyed coffee in the morning on the deck overlooking the marina. There were beautiful sunrises, quiet boat activity and views of Lake Charlevoix. The condo was as described and definitely enough room for a couple or small family. It was very quiet at night. The condo has just about everything you might need. There were a few minor repairs needed. The steps going upstairs to the loft were quite steep. Although not a problem for us, we did have to watch carefully going up and down the stairs. We enjoyed our time at The Boat House.

Good location, some bad circumstances.

Dangerous stairway to upper bedroom(uneven top stair riser,a code violation. No written TV operating instructions, owner was called for instructions but he suggested we Google instructions and was very quick to get "back to dinner". No toaster, just an empty box. Owner did nothing to get one. We purchased one and left it there. The microwave had no written operating instructions available, we were left to just figure it out!

Foster Boat Works Review

Overall, the stay was lovely. The area has lots to offer and the view was great. We also watched a Regatta one evening from the balcony of our condo. A couple of things that were not desirable. One, the balcony was filthy dirty and didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while. There were cobwebs, nats and dirt in every corner, on all the chairs, and on the railings and floors. We had to do a cleaning before we could use it. The toilet seat was not secured at all and the lid even came off a couple of times and again, we had to fix. The plug on the wall over the island came out of the wall when I went to unplug an appliance. The air conditioning front cover in the downstairs bedroom was broken and hanging by a couple of threads (so to speak). None of us were keen on the polyester sheets, but my biggest issue with the sheets were that they were several sizes too big for the bed and were a bit uncomfortable. The dining room chairs were also very low for the height of the table. The downstairs bathroom was also not very clean On the flip side, the overall place was very cute, small, but cute, and in a very nice location. The pool was still open which was a bonus and very nice people in the area. We enjoyed our stay, and if some of the above items were taken care of, would be an ideal place to rent.

Great Value

This place is perfect! Nice view of the marina. Plenty of space for a small family. Our twin 5 year olds had a blast! They found the toy box within two mins of being inside. Thanks for thinking about the little ones! Location is perfect, a 5 mins drive to downtown and a short 5 min walk to a local beach with two playgrounds. Perfect for kids! The bathroom upstairs was also nice to have in the middle of the night. Overall great value! Amazing location, awesome amenities; very cute and clean.

Perfect location!

We spent a week at this lovely apartment in July. The location is perfect. We walked to downtown Charlevoix every morning through the picturesque and historic Belvedere neighborhood. The views are great as are the sunrises. The unit is very well equipped and clean. Parking is good and there are even carts to transport your luggage and groceries. We brought our bikes (there are bike racks) and cruised the Little Travers Wheelway which is a paved bicycle path that runs from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs. Michelle was very responsive and great host.

Wow, what a beautiful condo! Michelle thought of everything to make our stay so comfortable. The decor is so pretty and the view from the balcony is amazing! The condo is perfect for a couple or small family. We would definitely stay there again.

AMAZING!

The Host was incredibly generous in letting us rent her gorgeous condo, and we couldn’t have had a better experience there. The view was beautiful, the location was perfect, the place was very well-stocked with everyday items, and it was just the best getaway we could’ve imagined. We live in mid Michigan area with our ten year old and seven year old children. We spent years searching for our perfect vacation home in Northwestern Michigan area. Past experiences of boating on Lake Charlevoix and enjoying the town of Charlevoix drew us to this location. We purchased our condo 'Boat House' spring of 2013.

Why they chose this property

We were sold after stepping into the condo and seeing the breath taking views along with available boat slips out our front door, a heated pool, Ferry beach next door, short walking or boating distance to downtown. Also nicely located between Traverse City, Petoskey, Boyne City, Bay Harbor.
We also love skiing and love that it is centrally located between Boyne highlands, Knobs knob, and Boyne mountain. All within a 40 minute drive.

What makes this property unique

Heated swimming pool, boat slips available for rent at Northwest Marina. Clubhouse with shower facilities and washer/dryers. Walking distance to town and only minutes to Petoskey, Harbor Springs or Boyne City. Over 15 championship golf courses within 25 miles of our condo.
