Clear View Lodge is a cozy mountain retreat where you can quickly escape from the city and be surrounded by nature. The lodge is totally private, perfectly located, completely outfitted with designer details. We are located just off of 441 in Long Laurel Ridge overlooking Lake Rabun. The Lodge backs up to the Chattahoochee National Forest. Clear View Lodge is convenient to all that the North Georgia Mountains has to offer!

We are around the corner from Lake Rabun where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful mountain lakes. Lake Rabun was built in 1915 by Georgia Power. The lake's cool, deep waters have been a year round haven for the most discriminating Atlantans and others. You can rent a boat, pontoon or wave runner, hang out on the beach or Bring your own boat for a day of fun on the lake skiing, tubing, wake-boarding or just cruising. You could also discover Lake Tugaloo or Tallulah lake. They are both quiet hidden gems for swimming, rock diving or a picnic. Lake Seed and Lake Burton Offer similar activities and are not very far.

If you want to explore, Tallulah Gorge is only minutes away. Here you can find, beautiful waterfalls, hikes, bolder trekking and tons of fun on Sliding rock (Angel Falls). The Tallulah River offers excellent fishing-stocked by the DNR.

You will probably not want to leave Clear View Lodge, but we have so many things to do that you have to get out and about and enjoy the many activities. We have horse back riding, white water rafting, a zip-line over the canopied forest, biking, hiking, tennis and golfing.

We have award winning dining down the street at the Lake Rabun Inn and at Glen Ella Springs. Also, the charming little town of Lakemont offers galleries, a spa, antiques, boutiques and Alley's Grocery&deli. On the way to The nearby city of Clayton, you can stop by Tiger Mountain Vinyards for Lunch at the Red Barn and a wine tasting in the vineyard. Clayton also offers great shopping, dining and sight seeing.

You could also make an hour long trip to Highlands or Cashiers, NC for other coveted shopping destinations.

We have so many opportunities for a Memorable vacation in the North Georgia Mountains. Just let us know what you like to do and we have it here for you! Our family has been on Lake Rabun for decades and we are happy to be able offer Clear View Lodge to our Guest. We know that you will feel welcomed, relaxed and rejuvenated after time spent at our Lodge.

About Scotty

Jason and Scotty currently live in Atlanta. Jason is a professional landscape lighting designer and Scotty is a Interior designer. They both have their own businesses in Buckhead. They are currently expanding there expertise to the North Georgia Mountains, where they love spending time! Eventually, hoping to be there full-time. Jason and Scotty love renovating homes and having people come to enjoy their transformation talents.

Scotty purchased this lodge in 2014

Why Scotty chose Lakemont

We love the North Georgia Mountains!! Our family has always had a place on Lake Rabun and we love entertaining family and friends. Clear View Lodge has offered us more space for guest when we are having big gatherings and a place that we can open up to other guest to enjoy this wonderful spot.

What makes this lodge unique

We fell in love with this property the second we saw it for its lovely stonework and the spaciousness inside. It's large vaulted ceiling in the den/kitchen and the 10 foot knotty pine tongue and grove ceilings and chair railings

5 will love your stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful house and the owners were wonderful to work with. We booked this for my sons wedding which was being held at the pavilion. Due to the hurricane there was no power at the venue until the night before the wedding. Leading up to the day, Scotty was so understanding and even tried to help us find other options in the case power was not restored, luckily thanks to GA Power the power was restored and the wedding went beautifully. The house is beautifully decorated and has many nice touches. A fully equipped kitchen, beds are very comfortable, the game room was fun for everyone and even the bathrobes were an extra special touch. We loved the area and all there is to do. The neighborhood is beautiful and would recommend this as a great mountain/lake getaway.

Beautiful Relaxing Get Away

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time to the area and we loved our stay at Clear View Lodge. Scotty was very responsive and helpful. The lodge is beautifully decorated and very inviting. We didn't stay in the lodge much due to the water rafting and hiking in the area but it had everything we needed. I must point out that there is no cable or WiFi (which is stated in the details ) and luckily it was only us adults or the kids may have had a come apart but they had lots of movies to watch had we wanted too but we stayed outdoors anyway. We had a great visit and would recommend staying here.

Owner's Response: We are so glad that you enjoyed a relaxing get away at Clear View Lodge. It is so nice that we are so close to many great outdoor adventures like white water rafting and hiking that you enjoyed. It's great to get disconnected for a weekend isn't it? I love this: Anybody have plans to stare at their computer someplace exciting this weekend? Or, "Put down your phone and listen to your life." Ha. Love it! Come back to the mountains and enjoy the good life!! Scotty and Jason

Excellent Property with Great Customer Service

  • 5 of 5

Can't state enough how much I appreciated the prompt communication from Jason and Scotty. Very professional.

The property itself is inside a development, not in some obscure location. That said, if using a GPS on your phone, use Google Maps only. Apple Maps will have your head spinning. Property description is accurate and there's something for everyone. (Even a Barbi movie for my 2 year old daughter that after several viewings I gladly let her know it had to

All said, a great experience and given the last minute nature of it all and the service I received I'm grateful for the weeks worth of memories made with my family. Thanks guys!

Great way to ring in 2017!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the house for a party of 8 - four adults with four small children - and it couldn't have worked better. The house was in great condition upon arrival and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and ring in the New Year! We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and family in the future.
