About Tucker

I'm pleased that you're considering our mountain house for your vacation. The lodge is located in an exclusive gated resort community, offering you privacy, security, and peace of mind. It is surrounded by majestic mountains and has views of the Great Smokies, meadows, forest, and streams. The private back deck offers big skies by day and romantic moon-lit star gazing by night. It's our hope that our cabin exceeds all your wildest expectations and that you return year after year to enjoy our beautiful home.

According to the National Park Service, the bear population in the park is over 1600 bears and growing, along with deer, elk, turkey, groundhogs, wolves and many other small forest animals making the park their home. The fall leaf color displays start in mid-September in the elevations higher than 4000 feet (Mt. LeConte, Mt. Guyot, Clingmans Dome, Newfound Gap and along the Appalachian Trail) in the Park and surrounding Smokies, reaching their peak from October 1-15. In the lower elevations of about 1000 feet (Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg) peak color is usually seen October 15- November 7. Some suggested drives to enjoy the colors are Little River and Laurel Creek Roads between Sugarlands Visitors Center and Cades Cove. Keep in mind that traffic on Newfound Gap Road and Cades Cove Loop Roads are very heavy during leaf season, especially late in the day. So get up early and enjoy—then go for pancakes! or pack a picnic lunch.

Why Tucker chose East

FAQ -- Q&A

- Where is Adohi Lodge located?

Adohi Lodge is located between Gatlinburg’s historic Arts & Crafts district and Dollywood. The lodge is almost equidistant from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg (6 miles) and the attractions of Pigeon Forge (5 miles). You can travel to both places without having to get on the Parkway, which will keep you from getting stuck in traffic! We are also only 10 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park.

- Are the pictures of Adohi Lodge accurate?

What you see is what you get. Yes, Adohi Lodge is just as beautiful (inside and out) as the photos depict.

- How treacherous are the roads leading up to Adohi Lodge?

Not bad at all. The only incline you will have is for about 100 yds leading up to Adohi Lodge in the community road it sits off of. The community road is a little steep but VERY WIDE, with no hair raising turns or drop offs. Of course, as with all mountain driving, four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended during heavy snow, but Adohi Lodge's location really makes traveling to the lodge a snap for even the most tentative of drivers.

- What do we need to bring for our stay?

Very little, as Adohi Lodge is well stocked with all the cooking appliances, linens, utensils, games and books, and laundry facilities you need. D

- Is the hot tub cleaned between guests?

Of course. After each guest departs, our cleaning staff drains the hot tub water, cleans the hot tub, installs a chemically sanitized filter, refills the hot tub, and chemically sanitizes the new water with bromine shock. A bromine floater helps the water stay clear and sanitized during your stay.

- What if we find a problem at Adohi Lodge upon check-in?

Please walk through the lodge upon check-in. Should you notice any problem with the lodge just call us or our local housekeeping staff. Contact information is provided as part of your VRBO rental information packet and inside the Guest Notebook or posted on the frig. We make every attempt to rectify the issue

We had a great time celebrating our 40th anniversary. The cabin was very cozy and well equipped. So much to do in the area for all ages. We especially enjoyed driving the arts and crafts loop. Would love to come back!

Owner's Response: Congratulations on celebrating your 40th anniversary at Adohi Lodge. We appreciate your kind words about your stay. We agree there are more things to do than can possibly be done in a single visit for all ages near Adohi Lodge. The Gatlinburg Arts and Craftsmen community is the largest group of independent artisans in North America. This historic 8-mile loop has over 100+ shops and has been designated a Tennessee Heritage Arts & Crafts Trail loop. Established in 1937 and only 4-miles from Adohi Lodge, these talented artisans whittle, paint, sew, cast, weave and carve to create original collectibles, folk art, and more, such as candles, quilts, brooms, hand made pottery, woodwork, carvings, jewelry, dolls, ceramics, oak and willow baskets, scrimshaw, silver smithing, leather work, stained glass, wearable fashions, fine photography, sculpture and lithographs, frameable art, oils and watercolor paintings with restaurants, tea rooms, and candy shops along the route. The artists and craftsmen historic heritage loop will allow you to discover the people and events that made Tennessee what it is today. We look forward to having you back again as our guest.

Cabin is exactly as pictured online. Would definitely stay here again!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed two nights at Adohi Lodge and it was perfect for our family of four. Our children are 10 and 7, and we had enough space for all of us. The cabin was very clean and neat. We found everything to be as listed online. Rick even called us prior to our trip with a few tips and pointers on life in the cabin. I've rented a few cabins in the past, and I've not had better service than what Rick has provided. When we come come back, Adohi Lodge will be our first choice!

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay at Adohi Lodge. It was fun to hear about your family's adventures, from racing go-carts, to Wildness at the Smokies Adventures Forest, to attending one of the local Tennessee Smokies (Chicago Cubs AA minor league) baseball games with the game night fireworks show. I was not aware that the Cubs minor league stadium is located in Kodak, Tennessee, only about 20 miles from the cabin between Sevierville and I-40. We look forward to having you back as guests again soon.

Everything and More!

We loved Adohi Lodge! Not a thing was left undone. The location was great, kitchen fully equipped, very clean and well decorated. Our favorite things were the bed and the totally secluded hot tub. Tucker was the best person we have ever worked with on VRBO/HomeAway and it shows in the attention he gives to the property. We will definitely stay here again.
