Adohi Lodge pronounced: "A-Doe-Hee"
Cherokee meaning "timber" or "of or from the forest"

This upscale luxury cabin offers something for everyone. It is perfect for your honeymoon, anniversary, or a romantic getaway. It is also a great spot for fun with friends, a family retreat, an action-packed adventure vacation, or a simple time to relax and unwind. The private gated resort community of 'Summit View' affords a safe and quiet locale, yet it’s easy to find and conveniently located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg near the area’s most popular attractions, such as Gatlinburg’s historic Arts & Crafts district and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. The cabin has mountain views and a cozy, Appalachian cabin feel from the moment you walk in.

Built in 2007 with the finest attention to detail and cabin chic furnishings, this elegantly decorated, luxurious and spacious 1350 sq. ft. two-story cabin features a 20-ft-high vaulted timber beam ceiling on the main level opening into the great-room area, a stacked stone gas fireplace operational during the heating season and a full open kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is well-equipped to offer you all the amenities of home. The main great-room living area has a 47" flat screen TV, game-room has a 40" flat screen TV, master bedroom suite has a 32" flat screen TV and all have expanded 120 channel HD Dish satellite programming. Also on this level is a full bath and a game room with an International slate pool table. On the upper level you will find a large king-sized bedroom suite with 16-ft-high vaulted timber beam ceilings, a tranquility luxury king bed with cool gel memory foam mattress technology for the best night sleep ever, a full private bath with shower/jetted tub and bowed shower rod. The cabin has custom wooden blinds throughout and features two spacious outdoor decks. The covered deck on the front of the cabin faces east toward Mt. Guyot, and the uncovered south-facing deck has views of the summit of Mt. LeConte, the National Park with wooden rockers, an outdoor dining table with four chairs, and 100% private four-person hot tub with incredible nighttime views of the moon and stars and daytime mountain views.

For quiet relaxation at the cabin, you can sit on the decks with views of the Great Smoky Mountains, rolling meadows and the tranquil forest while reading a good book; soak in the very private hot tub on the back deck; or gaze into the stone fireplace and feel the fire's warmth and comfort on chilly winter nights. Enjoy a game of billiards on the slate pool table in the game room, or fish in the resort’s catch-and-release fishing pond or in the many local trout streams, you can grill your catch on the park-style charcoal grill located at the cabin. Legacy Mountain Zip Lines is just 1-mile from Adohi Lodge. In addition to many great local whitewater and rafting companies.

Enjoy the serenity of what feels like a secluded Appalachian mountain cabin in a private gated community, but within minutes, you can be enjoying numerous attractions: Dollywood, Splash Country Water Park, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park established in 1934, the park entrance is at the Sugarlands Visitor Center just beyond stoplight #10 in Gatlingurg also the (Greenbrier entrance: excellent for back country hiking, wild life viewing, wildlife viewing, awesome trout streams, Mt. Leconte trail heads), Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, numerous public and private golf courses, dozens of whitewater rafting and zip line companies, horseback riding, cave exploration adventures, live entertainment, dinner shows, attractions, and numerous restaurants. Fabulous shopping awaits at local boutiques, shops, and at 250-plus factory outlets or along the nearby Tennessee Heritage Arts & Crafts Trail 8-mile loop, which features 100-plus local craftsmen and artisan studios and workshops, starting just 3 miles from the cabin down Birds Creek Road toward Gatlinburg.

The Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area is famous for its numerous attractions, including natural areas and tourist adventures and activities, making it a vacation destination year round for visitors from around the world. The cabin is right in the heart of this activity and is approx 5-miles from Pigeon Forge, 6 miles from Gatlinburg, and 7-miles from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park main entrance. The Greenbrier natural area, just 6 miles from the cabin, is a renowned natural area for wildflower viewing and trout fishing in the spring and seasonal wildlife viewing (bears, deer, turkey, fox, raccoon, squirrels, chipmunks, various birds species, etc.). The best viewing times for wildlife are in the mornings and early evening.

This cabin is the perfect spot for a honeymoon, anniversary, or romantic getaway to remember. For larger groups, wedding parties, family reunions, or corporate retreats, there are other larger cabins (3-9 bedrooms) in this gated luxury resort community. If you are planning a wedding or renewing your wedding vows, the "Little Log Chapel" and "Chapel in the Glades" are only 5-miles from Adohi Lodge on Glades Road in the Arts and Crafts District. The "Chapel in the Park" is approx. 6-miles from Adohi Lodge in Gatlinburg adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. "Chapel by the Creek" and "Gatlinburg Wedding Chapel" are less than 10-miles. In addition, there are many other small local country churches in the area. Or why not get married at Adohi Lodge in your own private cabin setting. Lots of people do get married this way, just the two of you and have the pastor/minister meet you at Adohi Lodge for a very private wedding at Adohi Lodge your honeymoon location. Carles-Witt Sisters, can make your wedding pictures - at Adohi Lodge in front of the fireplace or on the back deck for a great background for wedding pictures, and Smoky Mountain memories of the special day. Owner info

Year Purchased: 2014

About the owner: I'm pleased that you're considering our mountain house for your vacation. The lodge is located in an exclusive gated resort community, offering you privacy, security, and peace of mind. It is surrounded by majestic mountains and has views of the Great Smokies, meadows, forest, and streams. The private back deck offers big skies by day and romantic moon-lit star gazing by night. It's our hope that our cabin exceeds all your wildest expectations and that you return year after year to enjoy our beautiful home. According to the National Park Service, the bear population in the park is over 1600 bears and growing, along with deer, elk, turkey, groundhogs, wolves and many other small forest animals making the park their home. The fall leaf color displays start in mid-September in the elevations higher than 4000 feet (Mt. LeConte, Mt. Guyot, Clingmans Dome, Newfound Gap and along the Appalachian Trail) in the Park and surrounding Smokies, reaching their peak from October 1-15. In the lower elevations of about 1000 feet (Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg) peak color is usually seen October 15- November 7. Some suggested drives to enjoy the colors are Little River and Laurel Creek Roads between Sugarlands Visitors Center and Cades Cove. Keep in mind that traffic on Newfound Gap Road and Cades Cove Loop Roads are very heavy during leaf season, especially late in the day. So get up early and enjoy—then go for pancakes! or pack a picnic lunch.

Why the Owner Chose Sevierville, TN, USA:
FAQ -- Q&A - Where is Adohi Lodge located? Adohi Lodge is located between Gatlinburg’s historic Arts & Crafts district and Dollywood. The lodge is almost equidistant from the heart of downtown Gatlinburg (6 miles) and the attractions of Pigeon Forge (5 miles). You can travel to both places without having to get on the Parkway, which will keep you from getting stuck in traffic! We are also only 10 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park. - Are the pictures of Adohi Lodge accurate? What you see is what you get. Yes, Adohi Lodge is just as beautiful (inside and out) as the photos depict. - How treacherous are the roads leading up to Adohi Lodge? Not bad at all. The only incline you will have is for about 100 yds leading up to Adohi Lodge in the community road it sits off of. The community road is a little steep but VERY WIDE, with no hair raising turns or drop offs. Of course, as with all mountain driving, four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended during heavy snow, but Adohi Lodge's location really makes traveling to the lodge a snap for even the most tentative of drivers. - What do we need to bring for our stay? Very little, as Adohi Lodge is well stocked with all the cooking appliances, linens, utensils, games and books, and laundry facilities you need. D - Is the hot tub cleaned between guests? Of course. After each guest departs, our cleaning staff drains the hot tub water, cleans the hot tub, installs a chemically sanitized filter, refills the hot tub, and chemically sanitizes the new water with bromine shock. A bromine floater helps the water stay clear and sanitized during your stay. - What if we find a problem at Adohi Lodge upon check-in? Please walk through the lodge upon check-in. Should you notice any problem with the lodge just call us or our local housekeeping staff. Contact information is provided as part of your VRBO rental information packet and inside the Guest Notebook or posted on the frig. We make every attempt to rectify the issue
