Aloha from the spectacular North Shore coastline of Kauai, The Garden Island! Our multi-story tropical retreat features a light filled living room/dining room with vaulted ceiling, fully appointed kitchen, furnished lanai, king size beds and en suite bathrooms.

In the living and sleeping area plantation fans enhance the soothing trade winds. Spiral stairs take you to the sleeping loft with a King size bed and en suite bathroom, and a lovely distant view of the Pacific.

The living and dining area is decorated in the Tropical/Asian style accessorized with Hawaiian print fabrics. The sofa makes into a Queen size innerspring sleeper. There are is a flat screen cable TV, along with a DVD player. In addition, we offer free WiFi 100 for your electronics. The dining area is furnished with a glass topped table and four armchairs. Youʻll also find a roomy table for 6 on the lanai.

The kitchen features full size appliances, including a dishwasher, 5 burner stove, French door refrigerator and microwave with temperature probe. Small appliances include a toaster, coffee grinder and drip coffeemaker, and a blender. You will have all the dishes, glassware, flatware and other kitchen cooking supplies you require to prepare meals. For added convenience we also provide large capacity LG stacked washer and dryer, plus an iron and full size ironing board.

Our spacious lanai offers views of lush tropical plantings and the beautifully maintained Princeville neighborhood framed by the Pacific Ocean! Come and enjoy the famous, spectacular sunsets of Kauai! You can eat all your meals on the lanai with a distant view of the ocean. We also provide a love seat and padded bench along with a glass topped side table, 2 matching arm chairs, and floor lamp. It's the perfect place to put up your feet and sip a tropical drink after a day of exploring, shopping or enjoying the many beautiful area beaches!

The airy Master suite contains a King size bed with fresh linens and an ever-changing bed cover. For entertainment we offer a flat screen cable TV and free internet. You will discover a closet with ample room to store your Hawaiian wear. The vanity is adjacent to the Master bedroom. The en suite Master bathroom features a custom built tile bathtub/shower combination.

The en suite loft offers a comfortable king bed and a beautiful rooftop view of the ocean. There is a ceiling fan and cross ventilation windows to magnify our intoxicating tropical breezes.

We supply starter paper items, laundry and dish soaps, shower and hair supplies. Youʻll also find spices and starter Hawaiian coffee.

Like the majority of Kauai vacation rentals, we donʻt offer A/C. Trade winds and fans are standard cooling systems. We can usually count on cooling at night to make sleeping very comfortable. We supply blankets and additional fans for extreme temperatures.

Sandpiper Village is nestled on several acres of paradise in Princeville. The grounds are beautifully maintained with lush, established tropical plantings. You may recognize our sign from the George Clooney movie, “The Descendents.” The complex has a large enclosed pool area with a hot tub. Feel free to barbeque in this area using the available, well-maintained Weber gas grills. You will also find tables and chairs and plenty of comfortable loungers surrounding the pool.

Sandpiper Village is close to the Princeville Shopping Center, restaurants, jogging path and two golf courses. Several beautiful beaches are only a short drive away.

Check in time is after 4 pm and check out is before 10 am. 50% is due to secure a reservation. Payment in full is due 60 days prior to stay. The maximum number of guests for this unit is five (5).

We do not reserve without payment. Please be aware that we book with the first person who makes a firm commitment by paying!

Deposit UPDATE: Due to the excessive number of stains caused by AVOBENZONE and OXYBENZONE, in ALL sunscreen sold at Costco and local stores, and in some skin care products, we are warning in advance that we will charge for stained/bleached linens. Sand in the Washer and Dryer, refrigerator and freezer (!?!), kitchen sink, showers and floors have triggered a $350.00 deposit. Deposit will not be returned if we find sand in any appliances! Shake it out and rinse it off in the parking lot or pool shower, before you enter the condo!


For those parties larger than 5, we offer the adjoining "lock out" unit for a combined rental. (Think adjoining hotel rooms.) This works great for a group or if you desire more privacy in a small group. You gain another full bathroom and lanai with kitchenette, as well a roomy sleeping area with King bed and TV. Youʻll have a total of 3 king beds plus a queen sleeper sofa with an incredibly comfortable innerspring mattress. Please see VRBO listing #619266 to see the adjoining unit. Carl is the happy owner of the condo. Kauai has been his favorite Hawaiian destination for over 20 years and heʻs here as often as possible! He divides his time between San Francisco, northern Washington, and Princeville. Carl has spent the years since acquiring the property improving the condo and studio. His commitment to offering beautiful and well-maintained lodgings has turned them into the beautifully upgraded vacation destinations they are today.

Marilyn, his sister, moved to Kauai in 2013. Marilyn has been property manager since 2015, drawing on her innkeeping experience. She lives nearby, in Princeville, so sheʻs readily available if needed.

What makes this condo unique

The spiral staircase. Itʻs reminds us of the lighthouse in Kilauea. Kilauea Lighthouse is spectacular! The staircase in the condo is simply a fun way to get to the loft. Itʻs the first thing you see when you walk in the front door.

The pool and grill area are available to our guests and we strongly encourage you to use them. Everything there is yours to enjoy!

Beautiful, cozy, fully-featured and clean remodeled unit with great upgrades and features!

We stayed here at the wonderful Sandpiper village in early May, and were very happy with the condition of the unit and everything that was included. This unit is located on the second floor of a fourplex building (most if not all the buildings are the same way) and I can tell this is the best unit of the building because it is on top, which affords it the wonderful loft and vaulted ceilings which give the space an even bigger feel, and great character. It is also situated better than the adjoining second story unit (which is also owned by the same owner I believe and they can be rented together and turned into a larger unit via the shared door) that doesn't have a loft or as nice of a view. The attached lanai, which has great tile flooring and a good view of the water, was spacious and comfortable. The countertop surfaces are all upgraded and the unit features stainless steel appliances and stacked Samsung washer/dryer. There's room for the whole family and more. There are two king beds, one in the master and one in the loft, along with an additional (queen?) pullout bed in the sofa if needed, so this place can sleep 6 with relative ease. The loft area has a private bathroom with shower and is also remodeled and very nice. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. A+

Lovely condo but no AC

Great location, spacious condo with appliances in excellent condition. Everything you need to eat dinner at home. Our only complaint was the lack of AC.

Owner's Response: If youʻre considering our condo, please make sure to read our entire ad carefully. I filled it out in detail to make it clear to all who read it what we do and donʻt offer. Unless you decide to stay in a hotel at a considerably higher rate, you wonʻt find many vacation rentals on the North Shore with A/C. We open our windows and doors. We rely on the trade winds and fans for cooling. This is the tropics and we celebrate the climate here. Itʻs what makes Kauaiʻs North Shore the green paradise millions of people flock to. Much of the island, and Sandpiper Village in particular, hasnʻt gone solar yet. We havenʻt reached the point where we no longer have to ship in outrageously expensive fuel to generate the electricity that artificially cools buildings. Teslaʻs Solar City is offsetting 1.6 million gallons of diesel and petroleum per year. At over 31 cents per kilowatt hour, electricity here is conserved in every way possible!
