Very pleased with the wonderful stay at Alii Kai!
We were pleasantly surprised by the complex and the condo at Alii Kai. It is a ground floor unit with the lanai facing towards a forest ravine. The privacy, views, and solitude were wonderful with many animals including nenes wandering onto the lanai. A very short stroll around the back of the buildings quickly brings you to the cliffs where public lawn chairs welcome you to enjoy the view. The unit being 2 floors only was very quiet with the only sounds disrupting our peace being the necessary maintenance staff with their equipment during the day. Wendy's unit met all our needs being well stocked with towels, beach accessories, linens, books, and thankfully puzzles which came in handy on the rainy days (most rain we have seen on this trip to the island). The Alii Kai is a bit dated being an older complex built on prime land looking over the cliffs. While some items could be described as dated in Wendy's unit all the important pieces have been updated. The bed was very comfortable, the fridge, stove, dishwasher, tvs, laundry units have been updated recently and the unit was clean making our stay very comfortable. Wendy's customer service was detailed with clear instructions, recommendations, and weblinks for nearby attractions including restaurants. The Princeville market was good for groceries and included a courtyard with live music which we enjoyed while sitting on a restaurant balcony. Great way to spend an evening. I recommend Wendy's rental and will be contacting her in the future when we plan to revisit this remarkable island. This is our second trip and we managed to explore the Waimea Canyon(breathtaking), and the mahogany plantation hike. The 1812 built waterfall at the plantation is a beautiful picture postcard.
Nice, clean place in a beautiful area
A great place to stay, had everything we wanted. Nice and clean, our own parking spot, well equipped kitchen and barbeque, towels, beach equipment and a nice pool area about one minute walk away.
Wendy was a great host, responded quickly on emails and gave us good advice on stores, restaurants and activities.
Great location and value on Kauai
We loved the condo and our stay there! Although the condo is not ocean view one can walk across the street and enjoy that view. We really enjoyed the view of the “mountains” and the lush vegetation. The nenes and chickens regularly came by. The condo is comfortable and we appreciated the coolers and beach chairs. Recommend for a stay in Princeville.
Comfortable, roomy, quiet, well-equiped condo
Communication and directions from Wendy prior to our arrival were very good.
We (2 couples) had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay and enjoyed exploring the garden island. Wendy’s binder of information in the condo was very useful. We found good eateries in the area and also enjoyed the free entertainment and nice variety of tastes in the food court at Prnceville Center. Don’t miss Wiamea Canyon- spectacular! And Sunshine Helicopters does a great job with their hour tour around the island including the stunning Nepali Coast. Expect some rain in Princville - it grows lush gardens, plants and flowers complete with resident roosters to wake up too!
This was a very clean condo, very comfortable.
This condo has everything you could need. Had a very nice relaxing vacation. Close to the marketplace at Princeville. Extremely friendly and helpful information from Wendy. Very smooth transactions. Only complaint is pool not heated.
The condo was well maintained, cozy and welcoming.
To wake up to perfumed air and the sound of morning doves was incredible. The kitchen was compact and with extra amenities like an assortment of spices, lots of pots and pans, and utensils. We cooked most meals and appreciated the extra touches. We shopped at the local Foodland, which met our needs, and the farmers markets added extra touches. But the grounds were superb... plants and flowers to enjoy and one darling little Moa we named Poopsie.
The Princeville Resort is on a beautiful ocean cliff. You are surrounded by mountains, ocean, golf courses, and the beauty of the Garden Isle of Kauai. There is an unlimited number of activities or you can just relax on the numerous spectacular north shore beaches.
