Big Sky escape

We truly enjoyed our stay in this home. Bernie is an amazing host! Check in was simple. The home is very well stocked with paper products, toiletries and more. We all adored the window seats for napping or reading! Bernie helped us find the things we like to do in the area and we took full advantage. We enjoyed the home's comfortable beds, well stocked bathrooms, family style kitchen, private hot tub, plenty of space, and the amazing views. The access to everything we wanted to do was just right. Thank you for hosting us in your home!

Perfect Ski Getaway in Big Sky

We had an incredible stay here—easily one of the best ski houses we’ve rented. The location is top-notch: true ski-in/ski-out access right off the Ramcharger chair. You can literally ski up to the hot tub on the upper side of the house, which was a huge plus after long days on the mountain.If you’re trying to find it on the map, it’s near Silverthorn—you take the Blue Room run down, follow a cat track, and you’ll end up in a neighborhood of houses that feed into a trail leading down to the Thunderwolf chair. Super convenient once you get the lay of the land.The house itself is fantastic. We packed in 11 guys and it worked great—plenty of space, and really well set up for groups. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a great grill right off it. The sound system is awesome and thoughtfully set up for the space, which made hanging out even better. The hot tub and ski room were both highlights—super functional and made things easy.You’re about half a mile from the main base area—an easy drive if you want to swing by for dinner, groceries, or après-ski drinks. Bernie was a fantastic host—responsive, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the entire stay.All in all, a five-star experience. We’d absolutely stay here again.

The perfect Montana home

We took our daughter and her two children on our first trip to Montana. This home has the perfect look and feel of what we expected Montana to be, except it exceeded all expectations. The views, location, comfort and spaciousness could not have been better. No need to bring anything but your clothing to this Completely stocked home.

Family Ski Trip; March, 2023

We stayed at the "the Hide-Out" for a family ski trip consisting of me, my wife, my two adult kids (26,28) and their significant others. This property is a GREAT location, it is well-appointed, and worked perfectly for our family ski trip to Big Sky. It is near the Mountain Village, is ski-in(literally to the back door)/ski-out (just a few steps to the trail) and has a GREAT hot tub with a fantastic, secluded, view. Bernie checked in with us via text to make sure everything was good (which it was). We HIGHLY recommend this property!

Great Location!

My wife and I plus two adult daughters had a wonderful week staying at this beautiful home. The house is very private, all you see are trees and mountains, no neighbors. The house was very well stocked with basic items, and the kitchen was very nicely equipped as well. The power went out one night, and thankfully, the house has a backup generator. The owner was extremely responsive. The coffee maker died one morning, and by later that morning, he arranged for the property manager to drop off a new coffee pot. The only slight negative was that the ski-in for a snowboarder is difficult due to several flat stretches on the cat trail. The ski-out is fantastic for both skiers and boarders. Thank you, Bernie, for a great week of skiing Big Sky!

This was the nicest rental property I have ever rented. A group of us pick a new location every year to ski/snowboard. This property was by far the nicest one we have ever stayed in. Everything was taken care of well, and Bernie was very quick to respond to any questions.

Great Ski In/Ski Out House

Very nice cabin - used it for a Father-Son ski trip. Slept 6 of us comfortably. Ski-Out is fantastic for anyone who is at least 3/10 skill level. Ski-In requires a little more control and experience to navigate without drama. Would definitely return.

Great house, hot tub issues

It is hard for me to review this property. I book based on three factors; ski in/out, beds, hot tub. The hot tub didn’t work the entire time we were there and I don’t feel the manger or owner acted with enough urgency. I spent all day every day following up. It put a dark cloud over an amazing trip. Let’s talk about house. Wow! Beautiful home tucked back off the road. It feels very secluded, but if want to you could walk to base of resort. It is a true ski in/out as it backs right up to the run. (Make sure to get your tickets the day before as there is no customer service or ticket booth at bottom of the Thunder lift). All the comforts of home with full kitchen appliances, plenty of wood for the fire place and common areas to accommodate 10 men. We could all dine around the table (with some adjustments), play card or just lounge in the living room. The four bedroom were a little bit of a squeeze. The bunk room is great, but needs some airflow. Gets very hot. The queen bed is tucked into an office. It has a great view and everything you need in a bedroom except space. Ideal for one person or a couple that doesn’t need a closet. I give the house 4 out of 5. I would recommend if the hot tub is replaced.

Perfect Hideaway!

Bernie's home in Big Sky is awesome! It had all the modern conveniences our family of 10 needed. The home had lots of windows to watch the snow and one morning we had a visit by a cute fox at the back door. The home is close to the Mountain Village but you need an SUV with all wheel drive as Big Sky has not perfected its transportation sources and did not have Uber service - that will surely come as Big Sky is getting very popular. We did manage to get a nice guy, John, with Mountain and Canyon Cab Company to help us on the days we needed to split our 5 passenger SUV. Half the group went to Yellowstone and needed the SUV all day. All in all we had a wonderful family gathering and even watched the old movie "Weekend at Bernie's" and recreated a couple pics to send to our host, Bernie, who joined in the fun! Bernie is very easy to work with and responds quickly to any questions....... Thanks, Bernie, for a fabulous resting place for our family!

Perfect trip!

We have a group of friends that get together for a ski trip every year. This is the first house we have stayed in that everyone unanimously agreed that we have to come back. - Location is perfect with the closest ski-in/out we've ever stayed in. - Hot tub is great after a long day on the slopes. - Kitchen is very well appointed. - Grille is great. - Fireplace with plenty of firewood. - Elevator to get all the gear to the top floor ski room, which has built-in boot and glove warmers. Bernie is great and very quick to respond to any questions. Looking forward to staying here again in the near future.

Nature wonderland!

We loved this home and especially the location! We were a short walk to the resort for morning lattes and a convenient ride to town for Pilates classes. The very best part of our stay was seeing all the wildlife right outside the home’s many windows. We had daily visits from the neighborhood fox, deer wandering through the property, and a moose in our driveway for a great finale to our stay ! Thank you for a wonderful summer at your home!

Ski Mountain Perfection

My group of family and friends have arranged an annual ski trip for the last decade, but this is the first trip we've repeated exactly the same way the next year, and Bernie's house is the single biggest reason. That in itself should say enough, but let me list the reasons why: --True ski-in/ski-out? Check! --Lift access from the house that bypasses the base area? Check! --Hot tub for relaxing your muscles after a long day of skiing? Check! --Excellently equipped kitchen to facilitate dinner at home? Check! --Wood burning fire place for warmth and ambiance? Check! --An inviting central living room with enough seating for your whole crew to play games or watch the huge 4k TV with surround sound in the evening? Check! --Comfy rooms and beds that show the owner not only owns the place but lives in it too and makes sure it's comfortable for the occupants? Check! --Enough boot dryers and glove dryers to dry out a dozen pairs of boots and gloves overnight to prepare you for the next day? Check! --Seclusion amongst a snowy forest of trees with no neighbors in sight? Check! --Wifi for that pesky call from your boss mid-week? Check! --Elevator to move all your ski gear from the spacious garage right to the back exit to the ski slopes without having to carry any of it up the stairs? Check! If you're looking for the ultimate ski getaway, this house has it all!

Amazing Stay - Great Location

My friends and I had a wonderful stay in Big Sky. The ski in and ski out was great for a big group, we were all able to travel out to the mountain at different times and meet back for lunch everyday. The hot tub was an amazing touch to end a long day of skiing and riding. The place had all the amenities you could think of and cooking breakfast and dinner each night was a breeze! We had a wonderful time, only issue we had that we were warned about was getting up the driveway. unfortunately the rental company was out of 4WD for the van we requested so we weren't able to make it up the driveway, but Bernie allowed us to park at the end of the street which was greatly appreciated.

Big Sky at its best

The mountain, the conditions, and the convenience and comfort of this beautiful home all contributed to our unforgettable ski experience. The house is so well appointed from the incredibly comfortable mattresses to the chef’s kitchen, the elevator, and hot tub. The wood burning fireplace with a gas starter is the best invention since the high speed lift. A great home for a large family or group of friends. 5 star experience
