Play our Tom Fazio Golf Course with a dramatic 18
Wachesaw Plantation Club·is one of Tom Fazio's finest designs, and it is consistently recognized as one of the finest in South Carolina because of its condition, the natural beauty of its surroundings and the quality of the shot values built into Tom Fazio's design. Key features of the course include undulating bent grass greens, challenging approach shots into every green, excellent turf conditions and well defined tree lined fairways surrounded by beautiful and well maintained home sites situated well back from the playing areas. As an everyday course for our members, the character of the course and its many unique features and challenges means that playing the Wachesaw Plantation Club is always an enjoyable, engaging experience and never boring. Rolling fairways weave in and around the Plantation’s beautiful estate homes and cottages. At every turn, the Lowcountry landscape takes center stage. Undulating greens, grassy bunkers and love-grass knolls make this a superb course.
If spirited competition is more your style, you are in luck. Like everything at Wachesaw, the tennis facilities also set an exacting standard. Eight Har-Tru courts include five that are lighted for evening play. The teaching staff is without par as former European pro circuit players. There are a host of opportunities for serious competition as well as lighthearted rivalries. Programs for all ages and skill levels include men’s and ladies round robins and special curriculums for juniors.
Wachesaw Plantation, a private residential country club community, offers a variety of outstanding amenities, including the tennis facility, with a wide-ranging variety of social and recreational activities for our cottage guests. The professional tennis staff, is in the spotlight with Harrison Richmond’s win at the Jr. Orange Bowl and is rapidly becoming known for offering a world-class junior tennis program.

Why Burt Jordan chose Wachesaw Plantation Club
We live about 60 miles from the beach and love the peace and quiet Wachesaw offers along with the easy access to a great golf course. We love to host our family and friends.

We loved the privacy. It felt like home and the amentities were great.
Gorgeous setting for a spring getaway.
Wachesaw Plantation is a very special place filled with southern charm. There is a lot of history to this development and as you walk around you can learn it. In the spring the beauty of the azaleas, dogwoods and the incredible old oak trees draped in Spanish moss take your breath away. Located just a short drive away from Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach and the Marsh Walk as well as many restaurants and stores it's just perfect. The cottage has a fantastic screened in porch where you can have your morning coffee or enjoy reading a good book. What more can I say?
Overstated and Overrated
While this unit was clean and convenient to the club location it was sub- standard for a all adult group. The second bedroom is a kids room at best very small and uncomfortable beds. The bed clothes did not fit. The master suite was fine. I would not recommend this unit to a group of four golfers at best it works for a couple with two small kids. Would not rent again because it did not meet my expectations.
Perfect Location and Accommodations for Wedding at Wachesaw
Could not have worked out more perfectly for attending nephew's outdoor wedding on the Wachesaw bluff. The groomsman were able to dress at the cottage and walk to the wedding venue. The cottage is spacious, has all the amenities of home, and very clean. Despite being deep into the plantation property, less than 10 minutes to restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Huntington Beach State Park and Brookgreen Gardens are only a five minute drive. For those who prefer a more relaxing visit to the beach off the hustle and bustle of Ocean Boulevard, this is an ideal alternative.
Very peaceful and enjoyable weekend at the cottage "Beneath the Branches"
My Husband & I had a very enjoyable weekend staying at this cottage in the Wachesaw Plantation. The grounds were amazingly kept. The cottage was well stocked, maintained and comfortable. Very Quiet even though there was a family of 5 with 2 dogs staying in the attached cottage. We would not have known that they were there had we not seen them.
We enjoyed the screened porch, made us feel at home. Our Dog Charlie loved walking the grounds with all the new smells. My Husband throughly enjoyed the golf course. He played on day there and once in North Myrtle Beach , although in after thought he would have preferred to play a 2nd day at the Plantation Course. I enjoyed a day at the pool. There are many amazing seafood restaurants very close by as well.
The only request I would make for future guests is for the owner to provide a Hospitality guide either on line in the booking information or at the home. some things as to check in, wifi information, instructions for fans, TV etc. would be nice. Although I contacted the owner who responded right away had that been available I would not have had to bother them.
Beneath the Branches - Serene!
We are a very busy family of 3 and with so many things left behind to do, I was kind of ambivalent about going on a vacation. On top of it all, I found out just as we were leaving home, that my mother-like mentor passed away.
However, from the minute I saw the grounds and the cottage, my heart was at peace. Thank you for our experience there!
