Built in 1908 and fully remodeled in 2014, this 3000 sq. Foot home is located only 4 blocks from downtown durango. Durango's downtown area is bountiful with award winning restaurants, brew pubs, shops, art galleries, museums and much, much more! You will not run out of activities to immerse yourself in. Again, this home is in the heart of it all!

The stunning kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and an island--complete with stools to enjoy casual dining. You will feel comfortable and at ease.

There is a dining room and two living rooms adjacent to the kitchen. These custom designed areas are for your reading pleasure, for enjoying meals together with family and friends, game play or just relaxing and watching high definition television.

French doors open up to the master bedroom (also located on the ground level) that has a king sized bed. The master bath has a double vanity sink, an over sized jet bath tub and a custom built steam shower. An ultimate showering experience!

Upstairs, there are 2 more bedrooms; one with a queen size bed and the other with two day beds, ceiling fans. The entire home can sleep 6 to 8 comfortably. The bathroom located on this level also has a double vanity sink area, jetted bath tub and large shower. Deluxe accommodations are a must for you, our guest!

In addition to the 2 bedrooms and full bath upstairs, this home also has a media room with television and video game fun for the young or young at heart. It has an east facing balcony--a perfect area for that book read and cup of tea.

Other amenities include: washer, dryer, central heating and air conditioning, alarm/security system, large backyard, and wi-fi. There is off street parking so you never have to worry about finding a parking spot.

Awesome house and location.

Well Maintained and Conveniently Located to Downtown Durango

My family recently visited the Durango area for a wedding. A friend had previously stayed at this house and highly recommended it. We were not disappointed. It is a well maintained and very updated house. It has plenty of room and even a fenced in yard for children. We enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if it is available.

Wonderful space for a family!

The house is perfect for a group! My favorite part of this lovely, clean house is its open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living area where we spent a good amount of time together, cooking and eating. The beds are super comfortable and the bedrooms are spacious. We loved the little neighborhood which is close to the main street with lots of good restaurants. The owner was extremely responsive. We loved our experience here and are planning another trip back next summer!

just right for our family

your home was very convenient, right in town! Two visiting bears provided evening entertainment (from afar) for us. Five adults and four children enjoyed plenty of space inside and in the yard. Beds were comfortable, amenities greatly appreciated, clean and homey! My 8 year old grandson thanked me at least 3 times for getting such a nice house for our vacation!! Thank you for sharing your lovely home!!!

About Nancy Williams

My name is Nancy Williams. I have lived in Durango since 1991. My husband, our four children and I moved to Durango from California. We made a big life change after my husband Jon shut down his company in 1990. He manufactured sailboats for over 20 years. His company was Capital Yachts and his first model of boats were called Newport. We purchase the Four Winds Motel just before moving to Durango and started a whole new chapter in our lives. We owned and operated it together for 16 years. Then in 2007, I lost my precious husband to cancer, at which time I sold the motel and have been very busy with our 4 children and now 6 grandchildren. I established the Newport Inn in loving memory of Jon Williams, my dear husband. When guest visit my inn, they will enter through a beautiful door with a rendering of Jon's Newport 41 done in stained glass.

I have been in hospitality for over 38 years, first being a wife and mother and then running a motel with Jon for 16 years. This project of remodeling an old home has been a challenge. But bring an old home back to life has been a wonderful and exciting experience. I have enjoyed seeing the results and I am look forward to having many guest come to stay at my inn. All who come can look forward to a most enjoyable vacation experience.

It is a beautiful property in downtown Durango within walking distance to all the exciting activities that the town has to offer. I know that travelers that come and stay at my lovely Newport Inn will look forward to returning year after year.

On a quiet tree lined street where my guests can relax and enjoy a peaceful rest. Close to town so they can walk to most all the activities that Durango has to offer. The inn is in close proximity to the ski area, Mesa Verde and the Durango Silverton Train

Refundable damage deposit $1,000
Tax Rate 10.0%

Damage Protection deposit will be refunded within 14 days after check-out if property is left in the same condition as at check-in.
During your stay there are to be no wild parties that would disturb the neighbors or cause damage to the Inn.
Expectations upon check-out; Dish are to be washed and put away and kitchen left as clean and tidy as upon arrive. The sheets are to be removed from the beds and placed in laundry room, all soiled towels are to be placed in the laundry room. All lights turned off, the heater turned down to 55 if and all doors and windows locked. If the barbecue was used during your stay all burners are to be turned off, the propane tank turned off and the cover is to be put back on. Make sure all gates are closed.

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
