About the property

3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6

We think you will like our comfortable villa. It has been in the family for almost 50 years! There is plentiful seating in the spacious living area and enclosed porch. Have your morning coffee on the porch while critiquing the swings of golfers on the fourth tee of the Atlantic Dunes (formerly called Ocean Course), or enjoying the wildlife that frequents the lagoons right outside the back door (yes...there are alligators.) Walk across the bridge to our private putting green, available only to property owners and their guests. Our tennis court is just a short walk from our front door. The recently updated kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need. A large, deep utility sink and full sized washer and dryer are in the laundry area. The enclosed court yard serves to store chairs, hang towels and rinse off after a day at the beach. The master bedroom downstairs has a private bath with large walk-in shower. Furnishings include a king size bed and two chests of drawers. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a pair of twin beds and chests with ample drawer space. Each bedroom has its own bath with tub/shower combination. The living area and porch have flat screen TVs with HDTV cable and DVD players. There is a small collection of DVDs for downtime. We also provide wireless internet. Our two allotted parking spaces are just outside the front door. No stairs to climb or elevators to ride to enter the villa. Perfect for the guests who find climbing stairs challenging.

About Grace Mack

We live the upstate of South Carolina. We are so fortunate to be able to enjoy both the mountains and the coast! We most enjoy beach time, fishing and biking at Hilton Head. It's such a wonderful place to rest and unwind.

Grace Mack purchased this villa in 1969

Why Grace Mack chose Island Areas

Our father grew up in the Low Country of South Carolina, but settled in the Upstate to pursue his career. To maintain a connection to the Low Country, he purchased this villa in 1969. Fairway Lane Villas were some of the first condominiums built in Sea Pines. It has been the site of many gatherings of family and friends, honeymoons and holiday celebrations. It has passed on to us and we want to share it with guests and show off our beautiful coast. Now our children - the third generation - are enjoying it with their families and friends.

What makes this villa unique

Our villa is conveniently located in Sea Pines Plantation. Walk across the road to an entrance of the 603 acre Forest Preserve, where you can fish, observe wildlife in the Rookery, meander along the many trails that take you through bogs and old rice fields. There is even an ancient Indian shell ring within the Preserve. In less than a ten minute walk, you can be relaxing on our private beach. If you prefer to drive, check out the Sea Pines Beach Club which has just undergone a fabulous renovation. Our community tennis court is just outside our front door. If you enjoy biking, take a relaxing ride to Harbour Town, or be more adventurous and ride to South Beach, home of the famous Salty Dog T-shirt. Sea Pines boasts 17 miles of bike/walking paths. If you are an equestrian enthusiast, Lawton Stables is also nearby. Enjoy a trail ride through the Forest Preserve. Of course, you must visit world famous Harbour Town, home to the RBC Heritage golf tournament. Harbour Town features a great playground for children, shopping, dining and the beautiful marina and lighthouse. Enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset over Calibogue Sound. Sportsmen can kayak, parasail, paddle board and many other outdoor activities while in Hilton Head.

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The view from the sunroom was beautiful. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. Many restaurants within 2 miles. There was also plenty of room inside the villa to spread out. Great place for a family vacation.

Perfect location

Plenty of room to spread out. Great location. Clean. A few issues with bugs, but they were dead or dying so didn't worry too much

Owner's Response: We are happy you found the villa roomy and comfortable. As for the bugs, we have made extra efforts to head off future "visitors." Thanks for the heads-up! Hope you will come back to stay with us soon.

This was a wonderful place to stay with our family of two in their 20's.

  • 5 of 5

The townhouse though a bit dated in style was perfect for our family. With the master on the main and two bedrooms with their own baths it was great as we all had our own space. The sunroom with its incredible view of the pond and all the wildlife was a popular place to gather. The dining table was large enough not only to have a seafood feast but also to play family games and have planning meetings. The walk to the beach is a bit longer than I would have liked but it is better than most of the other inland ones we saw. The beach cart made it easy and the umbrellas were a necessity. We loved low tide to spend some time relaxing. And high tide brought some nice size strong waves. We went to the harbor town 4th of July celebration and rode the trolley without any difficulty. The Ariel adventure and zip line is a must do if your kids are older / there is a height limit. Dafuskie island ferry was a very nice ride and they. Helped with golf carts and horses. My daughter was able to walk, trot, and canter on the beach and explore the island as she wished not on a big trail ride. We came there to rest relax and destress. Mission accomplished. Thank you Grace!

Owner's Response: We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! It sounds like you really got the Hilton Head experience. We do try to think of everything that would save you time and space in beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon. Thank you for choosing our villa, and we hope you will return!

Everything you could want or need in a vacation rental property

  • 5 of 5

Grace, the owner, was extremely helpful and responsive. The property is convenient and within 10-30 minutes of any activity you might want to participate in: the beach, shopping areas or museums or boat excursions. The villa was completely stocked with whatever a family might need -- I could have cooked a Thanksgiving dinner without missing something

I needed -- including a band aid if I burned myself! Definitely hope we can make it out to HHI again.
