About the property

Charming Gulf of Mexico, Sleeps 8, Closest You Can Be To The Water

Casa Agua is a newer vacation rental on Morton Street on Grassy Key. It is a charming barrel tile roofed home with Mexican tile throughout most of the home and covering the three porches. The decor has a touch of Mediterranean to it and the home has that Old World Florida feel as you look out over the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The outdoor amenities are spectacular and enjoyed even more now that the home has the SWAT Mosquito System installed making the mosquitos, no-se-ums and other biting insects almost non-existent.

The brand new pool is unique and is only steps from the Gulf of Mexico with a large hot tub on one end and a great circular bench on the other end for watching the spectacular sunsets. It has a neptune water feature and two waterfall bars off the pool wall. The pool is also equipped with a heater, chiller and special effects lighting for more fun. Pricing includes the heat and chiller

Relax around the pool in the comfortable, quality Frontgate loungers while sipping your favorite beverage, reading or sunbathing. The foliage is thick and lush providing optimum privacy and relaxation. Light the brass tiki torches between the pool and the Gulf for a special evening ambiance.

Have a barbeque on the poolside patio. Enjoy the outdoor dining table poolside.

Launch the kayaks provided from easy shallow access ladder on the dock. The dock is equipped with bench, fish cleaning table and a second ladder at the end of the dock for easy in and out swimming in the crystal clear waters.

Casa Agua is a ground level home with only a couple of steps up or down making it ideal for anyone who is limited with stairs. The interior of the home is charming with its mix of decor and Mexican tile.

The large master bedroom has a handmade king size bed and enough furniture and closet space to comfortably live here for months, if wintering in Florida. A great 'chifferobe' with many drawers and concealed shelving on either side, large nightstands and double closets provide ample storage. The bedroom also has a large television/dvd player. The long ceiling to floor windows provide a view of the courtyard and access to the Mexican tile porch off the bedroom where you can enjoy privacy anytime of the day at the table and chairs or loungers. There is a walk in tile shower in the ensuite bath that is also fitted with double sinks and large vanity. There is a large linen closet and a brand new stack washer and dryer also in the bath.

The cozy guest bedroom has a queen bed with rustic copper fired headboard, night stands console/storage, large t.v./dvd player. This bedroom has its own separate Mexican tile porch off of it with a great courtyard setting. A great place to read or have a cup of coffee.

The loft bedroom overlooks the main living areas and has a view of the Gulf. It is accessed from the spiral staircase in the living room and has two twin beds along with night stands, seating and dressing screen.

The main floor also contains a second full bath off of the kitchen and outside the guest bedroom. It has a jetted tub enclosed by tile with a shower also incorporated. The hand painted sink basin and marble countertop adds to the understated rustic elegance of this bath.

The living room, kitchen and dining all overlook the Gulf of Mexico through the wall rimmed with french patio doors. There is a 50' smart t.v. and blueray player. A comfortable sofa converts to a queen sleeper. The views are stunning and sweeping from this area of the house. The french doors open out onto the large Mexican tile porch that is the entire length of the living area. The porch has a bbq grill and dining table that converts to a conversation fire pit table. Propane is supplied for guest use. A great place for a drink and to watch the stars in the evening or the kids in the pool during the day.

The kitchen has a large L shaped granite snack bar with four leather and rattan swivel bar stools from Frontgate. It makes a great dining space, indoor cocktails or just conversation. The appliances are Jenn Aire and consist of full size double wall ovens, electric cooktop, over cooktop microwave, dishwasher and side by side Kitchen aide Fridge/Freezer with ice maker. It is equipped with plenty of Fiesta dinnerware, drinkware and silverware. The spice cupboard is stocked with an extensive array of spices, cooking spray, olive oil and other condiments for guest use.

The dining room creates an L shape to the home and is off the kitchen yet still part of the open concept with the kitchen and living room. The large table seats 6 and is very comfortable for game or card playing after dinner. Glass doors and windows surround the dining room with water views for everyone. The same waterside porch accessed from the living room can also be accessed from the french doors in the dining room.

If you are looking for a quality Gulf front home that is well taken care of and offers privacy with stunning views and a great dock with a great opportunity for relaxing alone time or big family fun, Casa Agua is for you.

The home offers Wi-Fi and Comcast cable and two tandem and one single kayak for guest use. The garage is private and not for guest use.

This home will consider up to two dogs for an additional fee for MONTHLY renters only.

This is an all around great home for anyone including the wintering retiree(s), the larger family or smaller families traveling together. It is VERY spacious for one or two.

Casa Agua

  • 5 of 5

We have been coming to the Keys for years and like to stay in different houses especially on beautiful Morton St. The pool is always one of our most important features and the pool at Casa Agua is incredible. The added mosquito control which let you enjoy the patio and pool without insects was awesome. The inside features of a welcome sign and bottle of wine were so nice when we arrived. Having some supplies available made our arrival after a long drive very welcoming. The bedding was so comfortable and obviously high quality. The fact that this was a ground level house was also a plus. Hands down best house we have ever stayed in and I highly recommend it.

Home Away From Home With a Better View!

  • 5 of 5

This house was so accommodating for my family of 6, including a 3 year old. It was the like living in a home away from home. We truly enjoyed having the pool at our fingertips, and it was the best way to enjoy the July heat, because otherwise we would have melted ;) It was spacious and comfortable. Cooking dinners in the kitchen and on the grill at night was so wonderful. Enjoying the most beautiful sunsets while watching fish swim up to the dock was also such a fun experience. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! If only our vacation didn't have to end. Thank you so much Heidi for being so accommodating. From answering phone calls and emails while we were on-site (issues with the outside door, solved immediately!) to letting us know about a visit from the pool guy. We felt like we always felt like we had the owners there when needed. Also, all of the visits from the iguanas (including one on the roof) was truly enjoyable. Wishing we were still there. Thank you again!

From the moment we drove up, we knew this vacation was going to be awesome! This was our first experience with VRBO and based upon the other reviews, knew Casa Agua would be a great place for us and it did not disappoint! We were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday, and he could not have asked for a better way to celebrate! We cooked more here than we ever have on a vacation and had everything we could have possibly needed - and more! We picked up fresh fish at a local market and grilled steaks on the grill looking at the incredible view the whole time. Speaking of the view - amazing!! The sunsets (when the clouds weren't in the way) were stunning and watching boats go by from the pool was so relaxing. We took the kayaks out one morning when the winds weren't as bad and loved it. The green light on the dock provided nightly entertainment for the kids - it was like having our own aquarium every night. We all felt so comfortable here and didn't want to leave! Heidi was wonderful to work with and always answered our questions - even provided a very comprehensive packet of wonderful info prior to arrival. We cannot say enough about Casa Agua and will definitely be back!

Amazing Vacation In Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time my family and I have had the fortune of vacationing in this spectacular house. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and immaculate inside and outside. One of our favorite things to do is sit on the dock at night and watch the tarpons, nurse sharks and lobsters swim by the fish light. We very much enjoyed our time here and appreciate everything this home has to offer including the comfortable beds, stocked kitchen, kayaks, pool and dock to watch the sunset from. Heidi is so very nice to work with and we hope to be able to stay at Casa Agua again the next time we vacation in the Keys.

Great Escape!

  • 5 of 5

My family has vacationed in the keys for several years, staying at different places to get different views and experiences. The Casa Agua house did not disappoint at all! Between the pool, hot tub, dock, fish light, and shaded patios off the bedrooms, there was not a second we were bored. On our very first day we had a visit from a huge manatee at the end of the dock, who then proceeded to eat sea grass for hours and hours a little farther out. We also saw a pod of dolphins following some paddle boarders that same day - what a way to start our vacation. We would wake up early and drive to some near by beaches on the ocean side to watch the sun rise, and then each and every evening we would make our way to the end of the dock to watch the gorgeous sunsets. The park pass was nice to have - we use it for Curry Hammock and Bahia Honda (the best beach ever - on the ocean side!). We took the kayaks out, which was a nice workout. The property is so well maintained - tucked behind lush trees and bushes, very private. We did get to meet some of the neighbors who joined us to watch the sunset one evening - very nice people. We snorkeled from the end of the dock and saw huge Tarpon, a lot of Parrot Fish, and even a Barracuda. When the fish light turned on at night, the Tarpon would always be right there waiting. One evening we saw several Spiny Lobsters around the fish light also. Lastly, Heidi and Jeff were wonderful people to rent from. They responded quickly to every question or concern we had. In fact, we had the pleasure of meeting Heidi at one of her newest rental properties. She was kind enough to break away and give us a tour (this new property may be where we stay next year). Thank you Heidi and Jeff for sharing your jewel in the keys with us!
