What makes this House unique
Park Point @ Secluded Dunes is magical. It's smaller, tucked away, exclusive and quiet ... While we were building Mare Vista, we'd end the day in a trance listening to the wildlife and watching the twinkling lights of Port St. Joe come into sight as darkness fell, reminding us of our other favorite place, Positano, on the Amalfi coast in Italy.

Great place. Great owners. We really appreciated the 3 master suites on the same floor.
Would certainly consider staying again. The owners promptly answered whatever questions arose. Very quiet.
Outstanding House in Great Location
Well-designed modern house with easy access to beautiful beaches, located right next to the state park. The golf cart is a big plus, the hot tub was fun, and we really enjoyed the community pool and basketball court.

We had a wonderful vacation at Mare Vista!
Mare Vista is a great vacation rental! The location is great with a short walk to the beach. Even during Spring Break the beach was not crowded at all. The sand was white and clean. Absolutely beautiful! The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. Our kids loved skateboarding and playing basketball. Bring your own ball, if possible. The layout of the house was nice with all of the living area in the middle with each of the four bedrooms on the sides. It was nice that each bedroom has it's own bath. The house was very clean and comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with enough dishes and cooking utensils. I loved having the washer and dryer right there to dry towels. The linens were clean and comfy. It was also so nice having a garage and all the beach supplies (chairs and cart). The hot tub was a big hit with the family. It worked great and was very clean. Plus, it's huge!
We checked two things off our bucket list! Enjoying a campfire on the beach and riding horses on the beach. It was great being able to take our dog to the beach. She had a blast!
Dana, the owner, was very nice! Booking was so easy and communication was quick. I highly recommend staying at Mare Vista
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at Mare Vista, we love to hear that there are activities for the whole family. The Cape is a wonderful place to escape to for some peace and quiet. FABULOUS WEEK (July/Aug 2017) AT MARE VISTA!
We had a wonderful week at Mare Vista. The home itself was great in every detail. The bedrooms were separate enough to feel alone. The LR, DR, and kitchen were open and spacious to accommodate all 11 of us. Everyone loved the gigantic swim spa, especially the kids. It was nice to be able to watch the kids in the swim spa while grilling supper in the screened porch downstairs. You don't have to worry about the weather while grilling or swimming. Our favorite part of the house was the huge screened in front porch. We spent many hours lounging, and relaxing on the recliners out there. The entire house was carefully designed and decorated with "guests" in mind. The garage is stocked with ample beach gear, so no need to bring a single item from home. If you get the chance, rent the golf cart. It made things easy to get back and forth from the beach without dirtying your car. The "only" thing that wasn't available is kayaks, but you can rent those down the road........definitely not a deal breaker. We made many good memories and lasting pictures while on the Cape. I would absolutely return and rent from Steve and Dana . The didn't miss any details!
Thanks so much for the wonderful review! It was nice meeting you. We're considering options for offering rentals, yoga classes or a personal chef. Look for advertising in the Fall! We hope you visit again soon.

Cape san blas has its own worry-free character with miles of shell-strewn shoreline and countless opportunities for quiet adventures. Cape san blas is a 17-mile long barrier peninsula, curving around st. Joseph bay offering playful surf and white sand beaches on the gulf side and smooth, shallow water on the bay side. The cape is known for its clear, sometimes blue, sometimes green water and low, gentle surf. Families who vacation on the cape choose this spot for both its beauty and its seclusion. Drag a chair to the beach with a book, throw a line to the surf, or comb the shore for treasures. Scattered with shells, the sand in this quiet paradise is super soft and sparkling white. Tired of relaxing? Peddle, walk or jog along loggerhead run bike trail for a different view. Browse through eclectic beach stores, cool off with some ice cream or grab a few pounds of bay shrimp to steam while you watch the sun go down. Looking for something more adventurous? Local outfitters will get you rigged. Horseback riding is available on the beach and guided tours are offered daily. Canoe, kayak and sailboat rentals are available as well as diving, snorkeling and eco-excursions. Take the time to explore the bay. Wade through grassy flats, kayak with your kids and glide above two feet of water for miles. The clear, shallow water offers hours of safe play and discovery for little ones as well as adults. Sand dollars, starfish, scallops and schools of colorful fish are fun to find... Ten times more fun with a snorkel and mask! Mare vista is at the tip of cape san blas adjacent to st. Joseph peninsula state park, home of america’s #1-ranked beach and america’s best state park! Recognized as perhaps the most popular outdoor destination in the entire florida state park system. With miles of sugar-white sand beaches, striking coastal dune formations, nature trails, picnic areas, playground, 119 family camp sites, youth camping area, boat ramp, 1,900 acre wilderness preserve and more... It’s not hard to imagine why. Hiking, walking and nature viewing is enjoyable on the two nature trails and 14 mile hiking trail through the wilderness preserve for you to explore and observe the various wildlife and plant communities. Many varieties of birds, mammals, and plants inhabit the park. White-tailed deer are the most observed, but bobcats, raccoons, otters, and alligators can be seen. The excellent fishing opportunities for sea trout, redfish, flounder, pompano and whiting attract many fishermen to the area. Come during scallop season (july 1 - september 24) and catch your own bay scallops; it is great family fun and our bay scallops are some of the most delicious things you will ever eat! If you want to relax and do nothing, check out eagle harbor. It is a popular hang-out area of the park with boat launch, small store with essentials, water toy rentals like kayaks, and one of the coolest viewpoints in all of gulf county! Walk up the boardwalk and take in the 360-degree view of st. Joseph bay on one side and the clear waters of the gulf beach on the other side. Both are great spots to put up your umbrella and let the kids play in the water.
