About Stu Scheller
We have been married since 1980 and are the parents of four married children and the grandparents of nine so far!! We are looking forward to many years playing with our grandchildren at the beach. We love the water and the bike trails. Our son is a Marine he finds this condo to be a convenient drive to the base.
Stu Scheller purchased this Condo in 2015
Why Stu Scheller chose Emerald Isle
Three of our grandsons are in Jacksonville, NC as our oldest son is a Major in the Marine Corps. We chose Pebble Beach complex because it has 3 amazing pools including one that is indoor and heated year round. And we are only a 100 yard walk to the beach. The condo association has also invested in keeping the property updated and in good shape and we appreciate that investment. We look forward to many walks on the beach with our children and grandchildren with this property. We have been coming to Emerald Isle now for about 10 years and we love the friendly people and atmosphere. We also love the miles and miles of bike trails from our front door.
What makes this Condo unique
It just feels like the perfect beach getaway. We have two decks (front and back) with sliding glass doors off of each bedroom and the living room to sit and enjoy the salt ocean air as well as a nice view of the ocean. We are walking distance to the white sandy beach, pools, tennis courts, workout facility, and many restaurants and ice cream shops. And because Pebble Beach Complex is shortly after you come off of the Emerald Isle bridge you won't spend hours in traffic coming or going in peak season. So the location is perfect in our view. Plenty of recreational things to do on the Island and the North Carolina Aquarium just 20 minutes up the road is a must visit during your stay.

Even a great rental offseason
This condo was comfortably furnished and HVAC worked perfectly. We stayed about 3 weeks after Hurricane Florence. The unit was perfect for our needs. The clubhouse that housed the hot tub and indoor pool was closed due to damage but we did go to the ocean. As New Yorkers we had no problem swimming in mid October.
Great place to stay!!
Very nice place. Only down fall is the people who run the property. Not very nice and parking can be an issue.
Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable.
The owners of this unit value clean, comfortable, and customer service. This 3 bedroom unit was perfect for our family of 5 adults and two babies. The unit was well appointed with comfortable furniture and plenty of fresh clean towels. The entire unit has been beautifully decorated and the kitchen has all new appliances. The beach and pool are just a short walk from this unit. We had a wonderful family vacation and would definitely stay here again.
We has one small concern upon arrival and notified the property management company. They responded immediately and took care of everything. The owner himself, Mr. Stu Scheller, personally contacted us to make sure everything was taken care of. Having a very involved owner and a very responsive property management company was such a blessing and we are grateful.
And if you’d like to order delicious pizza we highly recommend Lazzara's Pizza and Subs, just a 3 minute drive from the unit. Thanks, Stu and Kathy. 😊
Excellent location for our family.
Our family of six included children ages 7 and 4, plus four adults. We found the beach to be easily accessible, with no feeling of being crowded. The outdoor pool was a big hit, especially for the little ones. The indoor pool area is very nice, although the weather allowed us to use the outdoor pool and the beach exclusively. Communication with the owners and the property management staff was superb. Stu answered every question promptly. Danielle at the property management office was gracious and wonderfully efficient. The area surrounding Pebble Beach at Emerald Isle is very pleasant, with a residential rather than commercial feel. Yet everything one would need is available nearby, including a Publix supermarket, CVS, and food options ranging from a fish market to ice cream options to restaurants. The North Carolina Aquarium is an easy drive, about 20 minutes from Pebble Beach. The second floor unit is accessible by stairway only, so it is not suitable for anyone with a mobility limitation. We found the condo to be clean and ready for our occupancy. The linen and towel service was an important additional item, in our view, and should be purchased. The ice maker was fickle, and Danielle noted that the problem is a continuing repair item. The balcony spaces were great. One clear evening we had a great view of four planets and with Skyview apps we spent an evening scanning the heavens. TV and wifi worked great. Cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, and all of the other basic needs were on hand. A larger family group might find the 3 bed, 2 bath, unit a bit tight. For us it was a fine arrangement. Without question, we would happily stay there again.
This was our second time staying at this property and plan to stay here again.
The condo is nicely furnished and offers plenty of room for our family of four. The location in EI is close to dining and shopping—we ride our bikes everywhere. We enjoy sitting on the ocean view deck drinking our morning coffee and our evening cocktail. We will return.
GREAT FAMILY STAY!!!
We traveled with two couples and three children between us (2.5yo, 10 mths, & 8mths). This place was absolutely fabulous with two patios and a great open concept! Master suite is separated from the other two bedrooms making staying with two families easy! SUPER easy to get to the beach and pool. Very clean and well appointed condo. Very close to restaurants, grocery, and stores. The beach was beautiful and clean, family oriented. The condo even had a walker for the babies, booster chair, bed rail for the bed (to prevent rolling out), and a pack n play! We absolutely loved this place and can't wait to return.
Only two draw backs are that there is no elevator so be prepared to lug your stuff up a flight of stairs (but even that wasn't bad since it is only the second floor) and there was quite a bit of noise from the upstairs until (running on floor, chairs sliding, patio doors opening and closing). I think we might have been more sensitive to it because we were scared it was going to wake the kids while the adults were trying to relax!!! :) Over all it was great!
The North Carolina Aquarium is just 20 minutes up the road from our front door. It is an amazing place and a must see. We really enjoy leaving our car in the parking space and riding our bicycles to restaurants, the movie, putt putt or to the pier.
