Idyllic

  • 5 of 5

This home was everything we were hoping for in a relaxing break. The house was just beautiful inside and out. It was peaceful, spacious, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. We loved it. Most evenings we bought local fish/veggies and grilled and enjoyed the beautiful view and sunset. We ate one night at the Dolphin and had a great time there. We went for a day hike at Camden Hills and on other days walked some of the local trails, kayaked on Orr's Island, and went to local beaches (great maps and info in the house). We greatly appreciated being able to book for less than a week and to take our dogs with us. Thanks to Dan for all the great info (restaurants, fresh seafood, kayaking, trails) and for one of the most relaxing vacation homes we've enjoyed.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

View was just what we had hoped for. This home couldn’t have been improved on in anyway. Pictures don’t do it justice. Our host made us feel so welcomed as he even had the home stocked with necessities , which was a huge help. It accommodated 6 adults so very well Thank you Daniel for being so helpful.

Great home, even better location!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home overlooking the water with tons of common spaces to relax and enjoy your vacation. We had two families with kids and couldn’t have asked for better sleeping arrangements as well as space to spread out. The house was clean and wonderfully stocked, great linens, towels, and comfortable beds. We discussed the idea of returning next year we loved it so much. One of the best rentals I’ve had in a long long time. Thanks again!!!

Absolutely stunning home and fabulous location!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a week in Harpswell (and it wasn't nearly a long enough stay!) It was the first time in years that we were able to vacation together. We had an amazing time at the house and in Harpswell and surrounding areas. This house is the perfect place to relax and has all of the amenities you could possibly need. A truly beautiful, comfortable home with stunning views. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Lovely coastal home, well stocked

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a long weekend in August. The yard was beautifully kept, and the views amazing. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the porches, and walks down to the water. It was also a lovely spot for stargazing.

The house itself was very clean and contained everything needed for four couples. The three upstairs bedroom contained comfortable beds, and the ceiling fans kept them breezy even on warm evenings. We used a blow up mattress on the floor of the downstairs TV room for the fourth couple. There was also a daybed which appeared to be 3/4 size in the TV room.

The kitchen and pantry were well stocked with pots, pans, appliances and dishes. We enjoyed the open feel of the downstairs. It was a great place to gather. The entry off the garage (what I would call a mudroom) was useful for leaving shoes and ourdoor gear.

I enjoyed contemplating the house design, particularly the beautiful open rafters in the upstairs rooms.

Highly recommended, we hope to be returning ourselves!

We had a fantastic time!

  • 5 of 5

The house is very well maintained, well stocked, beautifully situated, and very serene. It was a great spot for our family vacation. Dan was very helpful and responsive. The Dolphin restaurant nearby was a favorite, the cliff hike with fairy houses was a big win for the family, and the little beach up the road was great.

Estes Lobster House is a great seasonal restaurant a short walk or drive down the street from our home (0.5 miles). One of the best locations on the water for food is the Dolphin Marina Restaurant which is on the other side of the harbor (you can see it from the house!) about a 10 minute drive. It has a great selection of seafood, american food, great views and an outdoor deck to enjoy while you wait for your table.

On the other side of Harpswell is beautiful Bailey Island which has boating rental and water activities as well as restaurants and Inns to visit while you are in the area.

Our home is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Brunswick and 25 minute drive to Freeport. Brunswick has numerous restaurants, a movie theater, large grocery store, cafes and shops. Freeport is known for it's outlet shopping and the flagship LL Bean store. There are also some great day hikes and bike trails in the Freeport area.
