Great house and location!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is immaculate and very well stocked with basics. The furnishings and beds are very comfortable and the house is in a pretty spot. We were able to paddle board at high tide and explored many great walks in the area. Cliff trail, Potts Pt and Giant stairs were our favorites. Highly recommend!

An absolutely, lovely, home!

  • 5 of 5

I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone. The homeowner has provided all that you need for an enjoyable stay. Bring food and drinks, and you're all set! It is so secluded, and quiet. No beach to put your toes in, but you can view the water from the back porch and watch the world go by. This was a great find. I'd advise that you do a little research to see what's in the area as there's SO much to see and do. Great food, preserves to walk and hidden away, quiet beaches. The homeowner was on the spot responsive to any questions we had. We are planning our return in 2018. Thank you!

Exactly as advertised.

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time. The house was exactly as advertised and the pictures were a true representation of what to expect. The location felt very private. The rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. The kitchen was stocked with a nice supply of cooking utensils and little extras like coffe K-cups, spices, etc. The beach area wasn't great for walking, swimming, etc. but this was very clearly stated by the owner. The house was nicely located...close to Brunswick and a quick 25 minutes to shopping in Freeport. If you like what you see on line you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend.

Beautiful, spacious, clean, comfortable, well-supplied getaway! Absolutely wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We felt so at home at this lovely coastal rental. We had plenty of space for our family of four and our yellow lab. The home was very clean and generously stocked, and simply beautiful inside and out! The home also has a DVD player with a DVD library, and wifi, extras our family, especially our teenage son, greatly appreciated that I don't believe were listed within the amenities. Perhaps Dan may want to add these, since these are a draw to some folks planning their vacation, especially the wifi feature for those who need to keep up with work, etc. while away. Also, the ceiling fans in the upstairs rooms did a great job keeping us comfortable during some warmer temps. Perhaps an oscillating fan would be a good idea for the main level. We wished we had brought one on a couple warm afternoons/evenings. Such a smart and pleasing design to this home, such beauty and character throughout. We loved our time here!

Perfect quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family had a fabulous time staying at this lovely Harpswell home. The house is beautifully built, decorated and maintained. The owners keep it very clean, stocked and organized. There isn't a bustling town nearby (Freeport and Brunswick are 30-40 minutes away) which was perfect for us because it helped us keep things low-key and relaxing. We played lawn games, board games, read and went on hikes. One evening we went out to dinner at a nearby restaurant (the Dolphin marina and restaurant) but otherwise we visited farm stands, a little market and a wine shop so we could cook at home. We hope to return to this beautiful spot!

Estes Lobster House is a great seasonal restaurant a short walk or drive down the street from our home (0.5 miles). One of the best locations on the water for food is the Dolphin Marina Restaurant which is on the other side of the harbor (you can see it from the house!) about a 10 minute drive. It has a great selection of seafood, american food, great views and an outdoor deck to enjoy while you wait for your table.

On the other side of Harpswell is beautiful Bailey Island which has boating rental and water activities as well as restaurants and Inns to visit while you are in the area.

Our home is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Brunswick and 25 minute drive to Freeport. Brunswick has numerous restaurants, a movie theater, large grocery store, cafes and shops. Freeport is known for it's outlet shopping and the flagship LL Bean store. There are also some great day hikes and bike trails in the Freeport area.
