About Stephen Kuehm
We first came to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in the fall of 1990, just after the birth of our son. Now, more than 27 years later, after renting various homes in Duck, Kill Devil Hills, Salvo, and Frisco, we've finally decided it's time to have a place of our own. And if you're at all familiar with the area, you know that Duck is the place to be! There's no six lane highway just outside your door, there's no endless stream of cars inhibiting your access to the beach, and there's no 45 minute to 1 hour drive after you cross the sound! Duck is less than 20 minutes from the Wright Memorial bridge - even during the peak of the summer season (if you know the back roads). There is no road to cross to get to the beach and you can walk from one end of town to the other in just a few minutes. We hope that you enjoy your time in Duck as much as we do. Regards, Anne & Steve

This house was perfect for my boyfriend and I for a long weekend at the beach. We had never been to the OBX and definitely plan to come back asap! We are from TN and had the privilege of driving thru the mountains with hurricane Michael... that was an experience, to say the least. I also locked us out of the house on our last night, but Steve responded to my distress very timely and help us out... thanks again, Steve!
The beds were comfy, kitchen stocked with essentials, and the view from the crow's nest was very nice. The bathrooms were incredibly tight, though.
And don't forget to go to Duck Donuts. You'll never look at regular donuts the same.
Very nice and the feel is like being in your own home, cozy :-)
This place is a great place to come to. It's nice and cozy and they provided so much extra, which helped me, not to have shop for extra food and such. They provide extra beach chairs and a wagon to put the beach items in, to take to the beach access. The owners make it so enjoyable and hassle free to stay here. The beds are comfortable and all the furniture is comfortable. The shower outside is great as well. Make sure you go to the top deck at night, to watch the stars in the pitch darkness.
I would highly recommend this place..... The neighbors are all friendly and the people who come to vacation are friendly too.
So thank you Steve for allowing us to stay in your home. If we need a place in the future, I now know who to contact.
Blessings, Kim Supan
Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Home had everything we needed.
Just what we needed
Great location- walkable to beach and town. We had everything we needed at the house— loved games and puzzles and made great use of the wagon and beach stuff. Stephen was quick to respond to questions. Bathrooms are small, especially the 1/2 bath but overall, Daffy Duck was a good size for us (2 adults, 10 and 5 yo). A very relaxing vacation which is what we needed!
Charming house and area
Just the right size for our family
Great place to get away and enjoy lots of activities and all of God’s beauty .
Overall it was a great time and the house was very fitting. Excellent location to the beach.
Loved the home. It was the perfect size for a family of 4 or 5. Very clean and well maintained. I would definitely rent this home again in the future. The house was very well stocked with items needed and we didn't have to get much of our own. The only thing that was kind of a pest was the ants and giant spiders and webs. They must of loved the house too! Other than that, it was a great time and we will be back.
