Beachwalk Villas is a quiet complex located within Shipyard. This complex is located directly across the street from Shipyard Beach Club, making it a short walk to the beach. There is also a large complex swimming pool with a large deck – perfect for soaking up the sun.
A quaint, 800-acre gated resort community, featuring three nine-hole golf courses and the Van der Meer tennis center, Shipyard has a handful of homes and villas to choose from for your island vacation. Enjoy the twelve miles of bike paths throughout the plantation and the numerous lagoons that are home to many varieties of semi-tropical birds and wildlife. Shipyard Plantation has a private beach club and reserved parking for the resort's guests.
My husband and I recently stayed in this newly renovated Beachwalk condo in Shipyard Plantation and were very impressed with all the amenities it had to offer. The condo has many upgrades such as SS appliances, granite countertops, new wood flooring, plantation shutters and a very high end master bathroom with glass walk-in shower. Although we didn't cook any meals during our stay, it does have a fully stocked kitchen with a full size washer/dryer also.
What we loved most about the condo was that it was all one level and just steps away from the pool and a short 2-3 minute bike ride to the beach. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in this unit again as it truly felt like home away from home.
This unit was clean, decorated very nicely, and was a perfect size for 3 women. It's a short walk or bike ride from the beach. The patio had a table with an umbrella and was a great spot for viewing the squirrels, birds, and geckos. The kitchen seemed to have been well equipped but I admit I don't go on vacation to cook. We eat out every evening and just have no cook breakfasts and lunch foods. We have been to Shipyard many times and love the location. It's close to Shelter Cove and Coligny for browsing, shopping, and eating. The bike riding paths in Shipyard are the best. They're shady and away from the road enough so you feel safe. So scenic and great for watching turtles, alligators, herons, and diving birds (sorry I don't know the name of this bird but it's fun to watch). My only complaint was seeing a few palmetto bugs on our first night only. I know it's the south but this northern girl gets freaked out by those things. Anyway we loved our trip and were pleased with the unit and its location and amenities.
