Everything that has been said in the reviews are accurate. Great value for the price too.
I spent eight nights here. The cottage is cozy and inviting, and Heather is a gracious, lovely host. The location is simply wonderful, on a quiet street tucked away just blocks from both the ocean and all the shops. The kitchen facilities are limited, so if want to do a lot of cooking it may not be for you. Otherwise, this place is tough to beat, a great value. Just terrific.
Cozy, well appointed cottage right in the center of town! Amazing location - steps from the beach, shopping, and dining. Will definitely return
My partner and I have been visiting Mendocino for the past thirty years. We've stayed in many hotels and BnB's throughout the area. I can say without reservation that this cottage hits all the high marks for location, design, and cleanliness. It is perfect for one or two. The bed is good and the arm chair is sturdy (important to the readers among us!) You can easily walk anywhere in town, so if you plan to stay local, no need to drive. And Heather is a perfect host: She met us upon arrival, gave us the details about the cottage, and then left us to ourselves. If you're a gardener, you'll love the grounds, especially the massive hydrangea bush in the backyard. We look forward to visiting during the summer so we can enjoy the adirondack chairs on the front porch. Part of me wants to keep this location a secret because once the word spreads it'll be spoken for regularly.
My husband and I rented this property for the weekend while we were in town for a friend's wedding and could not have been more happy. It is the perfect spot for two people, the property has a beautiful garden and nice porch to sit on and the bed was very comfortable. Heather was very accommodating, we got in later than expected the first night and she was waiting up for us to show us how to access the property. She was very helpful without being overbearing and was able to provide us with everything we needed while we were staying. This property was about half the price of what my friends paid for the hotel they stayed at and I believe just as nice, if not better.
In the heart of Mendocino village, take a five-minute stroll to beautiful ocean bluffs, quaint shops, enticing restaurants, and all that makes Mendocino a delightful vacation destination.
