Clean simple cabin in great location.We have stayed in rental homes in Julian several times and really enjoyed the location of this cabin the most. The views, deer, turkey, walkability, and peaceful neighborhood were perfect! There was some Foilage viewable from the cabin, that was what we were hoping for! Cabin had enough kitchen pots and pans etc. but bring your own foils, storage bags, favorite spices, etc. as well as all of your own toiletries. Bedrooms were cabin cozy. If you looking for a beautiful serene location this rustic cabin is wonderful. We hope to return!

Have stayed here many times, Piute is our go-to lodging when going to Lake Cuyamaca. Love the fireplace, makes cool evenings very comfortable. The new WI-FI is really good!

The weather was cool, rainy and gray on our first day. The fireplace lent a charming ambiance as well as warmth to our cozy ccabin.The weather broke the next day and provided a gorgeous view of the Lake Cuyamaca and mountains. We enjoyed hiking the forest and walking downtown Julian. A great visit despite the gray weather!

Great Cabin with great amenities. Home away from home. Great location with a beautiful view of the lake, mountains, and landscape. Loved the front porch to sit and relax. The wild Turkey and deer grazed and crossed in front the cabin each morning. Looking forward for a return visit.

Perfect place to stay with your family. We had a relaxing and peaceful weekend. Close enough to the lake to go fish and come back to the house to relax. We will definitely be back again.

Great view & close to Lake Cuaymaca & lots of great trails near Julian. Very well stocked kitchen. Very clean. A/C was definitely a big plus. Large bedrooms, etc. Nice wrap around deck & patio furniture. Great neighborhood! Quiet!

Wonderful get-away retreat for the leaders of our women’s ministry - comfortable seating inside and outside, comfortable sleeping, all of the kitchen equipment we needed. Beautiful setting. We enjoyed the cooler temperatures and the lovely mountain/lake smells, sights and sounds.

Very nice escape. Quiet. Nice views. Area sight seeing adventure was beautiful. Julian Pie co. stop is a must along with The Pub over seeing the lake. Would for sure stay here again

Fine for what we needed, but could have been cleaner. Deck needs work, and one of the beds was exceptionally hard. No soap in shower - thought that was odd. But we had a super relaxing time and appreciated the great location. Would stay again, now that we know what to expect.

My elderly parents and I were elated throughout our stay in this lovely cabin with vintage flair. It is within walking distance to Cuyamaca Lake and within a short drive to Julian. The cabin is very clean, and it has all the kitchen essentials, laundromat combo, TV, WiFi, etc. We have stayed here before, and we were glad to come back for the peace and tranquility we enjoy in these paradise-like surroundings. Thank you to our hosts that make this possible!

Weekend getaway

The Piute Trail Lodge was prefect for our weekend getaway with our 15 and 17 year olds and our two dogs. The location was perfect and within a quick drive or walk to the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our dogs watching the wild turkey in the mornings.
