Enjoy our tranquil home in a private beach community.Located on a half acre of private land, this home has all the amenities you will need for a relaxing vacation or getaway. Views of Peconic Bay from the home, a private beach .Take advantage of Historic Greenport, located just 1 mile away, as well as the Ferry to Shelter Island and Sag Harbor, along with three restaurants just walking distance away.
Home has an open concept feel with catherdal ceilings, great room, kitchen and dining room with sliding glass doors that leads to a large deck. The deck wraps around to the front porch.

This house is very conveniently located - close to Greenport and many vineyards, with a very calm/tranquil private beach at the end of the block. All listing photos are accurate and the owner was very accommodating with our arrival time at the property.

Fabulous week at house. It’s a lovely, quiet street and a short walk to the beach. The location is perfect, a short ride to everything. The owner quickly answered any question we had and was super providing everything we needed.

Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Great proximity to Greenport, Orient, Shelter Island, etc. Clean and very comfortable. Had a wonderful stay. Thank you!Only item(s) missing: beach towels and a few beach chairs would have been super ideal. But we made do!

We had a nice stay at James' house. Well appointed kitchen, super comfy bedd, clean, and well located. The bathrooms are a bit dated and new shower heads would be a welcome swap, but otherwise, we enjoyed our time there. James is a very responsive and helpful host!

Perfect getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the North Fork beach house. There were only two of us, but there is plenty of room to spread out for a family. The location offered a lot of privacy in a beautiful area. The owner was responsive and genuinely nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Vacation Getaway

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful home. Everything was lovely. The cleanliness of the home, amenities, location were all great. Host was responsive to all our inquiries. Hope to rent this house again.

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood

We had a wonderful stay. The home is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we could want or need. The location on a quiet shaded street was convenient to beaches, restaurants and wineries. Jim was there when we arrived and was very helpful getting us started. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is a great place.

Great home!

We had a great stay at James’ home! The property was just as listed, and the location was a perfect base of operations for our week in the North Fork. Very convenient especially to our favorite places in Greenport, and on a quiet street that was great for our kids to scooter down. There’s also a small beach down the street as well which is great for a stroll. We would definitely return!

Comfortable Stay

House was roomy and provided privacy. The owner was very responsive to our needs. As stated, there were kitchen tools and appliances along with beach umbrellas and chairs. Location was convenient to all local shops and restaurants. Met all our expectations, but wished the private beach was a bit larger. Had a great vacation- thank you.

A relaxing getaway

Even though we didn’t travel far from home, the house felt like the perfect vacation destination. It has all the comforts of home with great beaches nearby (despite some Covid related restriction) including a small private beach within walking distance. We enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and a day trip to Shelter Island for hiking. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely and the proximity to restaurants and wineries is ideal! The owners were prompt in their responses to my questions and the premises were spotless. We couldn’t ask for anything more! What a wonderful place!

Lovely home, minutes’ walk from private beach

My elderly mom, husband, 4-year-old and I had a wonderful time at this home. It is comfortable, pretty, well appointed, and in a beautiful community. The location is fantastic - five-minute walk from a private beach, nearly across the street from the Southold fish market, and a 10-15 minute drive from both downtown Greenport and downtown Southold (and all the wineries in the area!). Also a 10-15 minute bike ride from the Shelter Island ferry - and ShelterIsland offers a number of lovely bike ride day trips! We can’t recommend enough!

Not what we expected.

The house was cluttered. Cabinets were overflowing especially glasses and cups. The towels were overused and need replacing. Bathroom shower heads need replacing. The 3rd bedroom had dryer in closet and could close door. Nowhere to store our food as cupboards were full. The pictures looked much nicer. Very disappointing especially for the money spent. The bed was very comfortable but overall declutter, empty bathrooms, install new shower heads and new towels.

Great Location

The property was in a perfect location between Greenport and Southold. It was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this home for a long island getaway.

Peaceful Southold location near Vineyards, farms and Greenport

This home was a perfect size, comfortable & clean and a great location for my small family. Enough space to be together as well as apart to do work or school projects ( tho attached bath was tiny) ; excellent wi-fi, internet and even cable TV. The 3rd room with TV was key! Hosts were friendly and extremely responsive - i.e. they sent a new bike pump overnight from Amazon. Daily walks to private beach down the block was easy and a perfect place to watch the Wednesday evening Regatta float by, which was also somewhat visible from the house deck as well. Would have preferred an enclosed outdoor shower, not just a rinse off station. North Fork Wine Trail is moments away. Downtown Southold has many gems for food ( The General for croissants by Francois Payard!) and shopping but don't miss walkable Southold Fish market for either fresh or prepared seafood, or A Lure restaurant for nicer dining with great Bay views and upbeat atmosphere. Greenport - less than 10 minutes away- is worth more than one trip and has a bountiful and varied selection of food & shopping experiences. . A ferry to Shelter Island was also a treat to get through to Sag Harbor with a lot less traffic. A day drive to "The Hamptons" and Montauk was a bit more time consuming due to crazy Summer traffic which is why this North Fork house was a more relaxing & peaceful home base.

Relaxing stay on the North Fork

Lovely home in perfect location

This home checked all the boxes for us: enough space for family to join us; private neighborhood beach; convenient location to all the north fork has to offer; AC for humid days; a deck and grill for outdoor dining; and a washer and dryer. The hosts were responsive to communicate with before and during our stay. I recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient home-base for north fork adventures.

Perfect location!!

My husband and two kids ages 10 and 13 had a lovely stay. The home has all of your basic needs and is walking distance to a small and beautiful beach. It is also an ideal location just minutes from both towns of southold and greenport. We really enjoyed our time there and would love to come back.

Greenport Getaway

I gave a five star rating because it did what we wanted it to do ; give us a full week to relax , be centrally located and enjoy all of the offerings of the north fork. The home was comfortable and well appointed.
