This house was great and very comfortable with all the ementies advertised was available. There was a good view to the gulf and a short walking distance to the beach and plenty to do including watching the sunsets
The place was perfect.
If your looking for a nice peaceful getaway look no further. The beach is just a couple minutes walk in either direction. You can catch fish right at the bottom of the steps. There's not a whole lot on the island, but it's beautiful. Make sure to bring enough groceries. Fort Gaines is well worth a visit. We thought Capt'n Snappers had the best food, but Pirate's bar and grill was good too. I would highly recommend this cozy place to everyone!
A great vacation!
We throughly enjoyed our time there. Everything you needed was supplied and easy to find. Instructions for the stay were clear. The house was very clean and beautiful! Location was good.
Great stay on Dauphin Island
We really enjoyed our stay on Dauphin Island. It is a hidden gem as it is close to the Florida panhandle but without the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed the aquarium/estuary, Fort Gaines, the bird sanctuary, and the beaches. The home we stayed in was comfortable and had plenty of room for us. The decor was a beach theme and was very bright and cheery. It was extremely clean and turnkey when we walked in. Met alot of nice people on the island and touring in the Mobile area. If you get a chance, go to Fairhope, AL. It is like you are back in time! Would definitely recommend staying in in this home in Dauphin Island. It was easy to book and has plenty of room inside (the extra half bath was nice) and has a great outside deck with a nice view of the Gulf. We could hear the waves from the deck and had great sunsets! Thank you Kellie and Duane for sharing your beach home with us.
Great house - just enough room. Right on the bay to sit and have a cup of coffee and walking distance from the beach.
Great house and location
My sisters and I had a great time here. It was in a great location and the house was very nice. It was well furnished and stocked. It was very clean. The owner quickly responded to all communications. I would definitely recommend this beach house.
Dauphin Island offers an authentic taste of the beautiful Gulf Coast. A quaint, small southern town with a strong marine culture, an eclectic mix of locally owned shops and galleries, and laid-back restaurants that serve delicious locally harvested seafood. You’ll also find miles of uncrowded, pristine beaches, excellent fishing and a historic, storied past. And Dauphin Island has been designated as the “Sunset Capital of Alabama,” so you haven’t lived until you’ve experienced the approaching dusk of day from any point on the island.
