Kamaole Sands- BRILLIANT!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at the condo complex multiple times over the past 5 years- we love it! Ground floor units are the best for walking out in to the beautiful grounds. This particular unit was great location for grills, pool and easy walk to the beach. The complex is one of the prettiest we've seen in that area and kam beach 3 is so great for sunsets. This unit in particular needs some updates and repairs and replacement of pillows and bedding. It didn't affect our stay as we just wanted the location. Matt with PMI was great to work with as others have stated and his flexibility with helping us out when we got stranded for a day due to snow in Seattle. We will definitely always return to Kam Sands.

Perfection in Maui

I simply cannot say enough good things about this property. From the moment you walk in the door you feel at home. The owners have truly done an outstanding job decorating the home, keeping it clean, keeping it well stocked, and maintaining it. This is much appreciated from a couple who travels and has stayed in many VRBO's before. This is by far the best. While sitting on the beach during our stay we loved it so much, we booked our stay for next year. The kitchen is so well stocked you do not need to bring ANYTHING. Stop at the grocery store and you are all set. They also provided a wagon for transporting items to the beach, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and so much more. We took one of the umbrellas to the beach during our stay and the wind suddenly picked up and broke the umbrella. Right away we messaged to apologize and asked where we could get another to replace it. The management company that handles the property is outstanding. Communication with them was fast and reliable. Our dream is to one day own a condo in Maui. If that dream comes true, we will be modeling our condo after this one and contacting this management company. Everything was absolute perfection. Thank you for a wonderful experience and stay.

It is very newly renovated and exceptionally clean. The beds and pillows, even the pull out, are very comfortable. There are two air conditioning units that work very well and allow you to maintain different temperatures in the bedroom vs the main area. The lanai is a nice size and has very comfortable seats. The unit is well stocked and they provide high end bath towels and beach towels, beach chairs a beach cooler and boogie boards. It is in a great location. The pool is close, it is walking distance to shops and restaurants, the beach is across the street with a cross walk right there so safe and easy to get to. You can walk along the beach to many different beautiful beaches. They have tennis and pickle ball courts, you can rent racquets if needed. Amazing sunsets from the lanai. Check in is professional and easy, parking is very close to the unit. The grounds are immaculate and well maintained. There is an activity desk in the pool area, some of the activities they book are at a lower rate than you can book them directly for. We did a helicopter tour and snorkel tour through them and they were both cheaper and great tours. The property manager Matthew from PMI Maui was very attentive and helpful. New appliances including washer and dryer. Our family loved everything about this unit and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

It was a short stroll to the pool and close to a BBQ area, but also felt private and quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, so meals were easy to prepare. The grounds are beautiful, and well maintained and we loved that it was a 1 minute walk to the beach across the street. Booking and check in were smooth, and we had no issues with our stay. We would definitely recommend Kamaole Sands! This was our second time to the property and I would stay there again.

Our kids loved the large grass area that borders the lanai. Since its on the ground floor, no need to use the elevator, which is a huge plus. The unit itself is rather dated. There are large gaps underneath the cabinets (unfinished) which seem to be a perfect home for critters/bugs. Over our 10 day stay, we killed two large cockroaches. Maybe that is common for ground floor units (not sure)? There is a sign by the front door asking you to remove your shoes, which we did at first, but quickly noticed that the bottoms of our feet were black from the dirty floors (visually the floors appeared clean of debris, sand, and dirt, but clearly they were due for a deep scrub/cleaning). We wore our flip flops inside for the remainder of our stay. The most disappointing part of the unit is the furniture in the living area (would have given a 4 star rating otherwise). They couch and chair are soiled with nasty body odor, dirt and oils. The couch is so bad that we had to remove all of the cushions and pillows and tuck them away in a corner to try to mask with the horrible smell (note: the pull out bed mattress portion was the only part of the couch that seemed to be clean/stink free). I would not recommend booking this unit UNLESS new living area furniture is obtained.

The Easy access and short walks to the three local beaches. And amenities.Grounds were wonderfully manicured. Pool areas very clean. There seemed to be an issue on the weekends with some people who were not staying at the complex somehow knowing the code and accessing the pool area for use.There is a small gym, although some of the equipment was either not working or needed some form of maintenance. All in all, a wonderful stay. We would definitely stay again.

It’s a home away from home in a peaceful garden setting, with the pool complex close by. I was without a car, but that didn’t matter, with the beach across the road, a bus stop minutes away, even a grocery store ten minutes walk away. The property itself was very well equipped.I had one small issue, I contacted the management company, they were instantly responsive, turned out not to be an issue at all, just a misunderstanding on my end, but the response time was impressive. Overall, I’d happily stay here again and would recommend others to do so.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family rented three seperate condos in the Kamaole Sands resort - and this was by far the best of the three. It has easy access from the front (parking lot) as well as the back (lanai/patio). The lanai is huge and accommodated our group of 12 for dinners and drinks multiple times. All of the amenities are in perfect working order and nearly everything you could need is provided - including some spices, sauces, ice machine, etc. The only things I would suggest you bring are your own water bottles for bringing to the beach, and maybe some tea towels for cleaning up spills. Other than that, beach chairs, boogie boards and coolers were made available for the beach. Cooking utensils are stocked and BBQs are open to the public (12 of them). Its a short walk to the beach, and only steps away from the pools and hot tub. Definitely worth being on the ground floor. 10/10 would stay again.
