About this property
Best location in the heart of Glenwood...see inside our BIG small town history
Stay in downtown Glenwood Springs just steps from Glenwood's best restaurants, nearly every activity is within easy walking distance. This 1500 sq ft, 2 bedroom unit built in the late 1800's is located upstairs in what was once the Palace Hotel. It has been completely renovated with some of the old things still in tact. Look at the doors; they are the original ones from the 1890's with the room numbers still on them. Doc Holiday is rumored to have stayed here. If you are coming from the Front Range consider taking Amtrak as the train station is only 2 blocks from the Watersweeper Loft. No hassles with Glenwood Canyon.
Going up the stairs you will find yourself on a great, large deck with a stone top table ,firepit and BBQ grill. Go thru the door into the enclosed sun porch and sitting area. Enter the main door and you are in the old hotel hallway. On the left is western bedroom with a queen bed. On the right is the master bedroom with a king bed occupying what was once two hotel rooms. Next is the bath and laundry. There is a Soaking tub and vanity in one room and a shower and vanity in another room. In the front you will find a complete kitchen with everything you could need and the dining room-living room area to complete the wonderful Loft with a great blend of old and new. The unit is registered with the City of Glenwood Springs and is in compliance with the short term rental regulations. Glenwood Springs Permit VACA-000129-2025

The place was great! So much historical charm! It was very comfortable and spacious. The hosts were easy to contact and gave good information. Would definitely book again!
Great location to walk to restaurants breweries and hot springs. Fabulous eating at Euro Italian Underground. Enjoyed the charm of the place and spacious living area. Would stay again and recommend to our friends.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Watersweeper! The appointments, like softly scented hand soap, buttery soft bedding made our stay devine. The temperature was always perfect. We never felt like we needed to make an adjustment. The location worked great for us. We were able to walk nearly everywhere we went except for Sunlight Mountain and the shuttle was a quick walk from Watersweeper. We were only here 4 nights but we are planning our return visit and hope to bring friends along. Many thanks to Scott and Nicole for their commitment to providing a wonderful rental.
It was very roomy and had all the comforts. The king bed was wonderful. The host responded to all our questions. It had an on site parking spot which was extremely appreciated. I would recommend it. It does have stairs that might be challenging for some.
Great location, right in the heart of Glenwood. We were very lucky to find this as it made our weekend really enjoyable. The host is very friendly and has put great touches on this place.
My friends ans I were extremely pleased with all the rooms in the house. We were expecially thrilled with the location. We had taken AN Track up to Glenwood and loved that we could walk mostly anywhere - especially the restaurants and shops on Main Street.
Perfect location . 2 min walk from all restaurants and bars and shops. Hot springs were amazing. The only thing I wish it had was 2 toilets, when we read amenity’s we thought it had 2. Plenty of vanity’s and room to get ready. The space is just lovely . I would definitely stay here again .
This was one of the most beautiful and spacious places I have ever stayed, it was the perfect place for our 3 day visit in Glenwood Springs. We didn't have to use our car because everything was close and very walkable. Thank you so much for everything, I don't think our experience could have been any better!
We absolutely loved our stay, the location was perfect!
