About Nathan Moffatt
Our names are Ashley and Nathan Moffatt. We were both born and raised in Glenwood Springs. Ashley works as a water resource engineer in Glenwood and Nathan works in construction. We moved back to Glenwood last year when we got the opportunity to fix up this property and turn it into a short term vacation rental. The properties location and the lay out of the house make it an ideal rental house.
Nathan Moffatt purchased this House in 2013
Why Nathan Moffatt chose Glenwood Springs
The Jenness House was built in 1913 by Lyle and Laura Jenness. Mr. Jenness was a highway engineer who worked laying out roads all over Colorado. The house was well built and has been well maintained over the years. Mr. Jenness hobby was photography so he built a sturdy basement to house his photography studio. When he returned from his trips he would work in his basement developing photographs of his travels and projects. Ashley’s mother’s family, the Worrells lived next door to the Jenness family. Five generations of the Worrell family have lived on Maple Street. The Worrell family became friends of Lyle and Laura Jenness. Lyle and Laura did not have any kids of their own to pass the house on to. When it became time for them to sell the house they first offered it to Marcie Worrell. Marcie Worrell bought the house and took care of it and remodeled it over the years. The basement was turned into a 2 bedroom, 1 bath caretaker apartment. When Marcie passed away in 2013 she left the house to her daughter Ann Nadon. Ann and her husband Jim are currently the third owners of this 100 year old house. Ann and Jim Nadon continued to fix up the Jenness House in 2013. While working on the house somebody suggested turning it into a vacation rental. The house with its two separate living spaces and downtown location is perfectly suited for being used as such. After a year of painting, landscaping and cleaning we are ready to offer the Jenness House as a comfortable place for guests to stay in downtown Glenwood Springs. We hope you enjoy all that Glenwood Springs and the Jenness House has to offer.

The house is well situated on the property in relation to the neighboring houses. The house gets good southern light. There are enclosed porches on either end of the house that provide a good place to relax and enjoy the views. The house is comfortable and the fenced yard provides a private setting.

Beautiful home. Great location. Short walk to pool and town.
Lovely lovely home. Loved sitting on the covered porch in the mornings. Yard is beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone going to Glenwood Springs.
Very cute property within a short walk to our favorite Glenwood Springs location - the pool! Comfortable home that allows much more enjoyable family time than you would find in a hotel. I would definitely book this property the next time I'm in Glenwood Springs.
Great Family Vacation
My family of 6 had a great stay at the property. The entire home and yard was so gorgeous and well-kept. The location was perfect for walking to the pool and also across the bridge to downtown. We will definitely be back!
Staying in a beautiful house, bright with sunshine, made every day start perfectly. We loved having coffee on the enclosed front porch each morning and spending afternoons in the well manicured back yard.
Thank you, Nathan for a great experience.
Super cute and walkable
We are a family of four and were very comfortable in this house. It is a super cute Victorian with a nice outdoor space. You can walk just about anywhere in Glenwood from this location. I liked that they provided tons of extra towels to enjoy all of the hot springs around town. We also appreciated that there was a great gas grill so we could enjoy the outdoor space. The owner was very accommodating when we requested to check in early.
Great stay for our family!
Beautiful home, very clean and well kept. Nice updates with keeping the feel of the Victorian style home. Lots of space and nice fenced in yard the kids really enjoyed playing in! Very central location and just a couple minutes walk to the Glenwood HotSprings. We travel to Glenwood often and will be back to this home soon.
Our house is located at 509 Maple Street, just off Interstate 70 in historic downtown Glenwood Springs. The house is a short walk to the World famous Hot Springs Pool. The Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park is a short two blocks away. We are centrally located between Aspen and Vail, both ski resorts are a 45 minute drive away.
