Darling getaway. Steps from all you need for a beach retreat. Close to water, shopping and restaurants from casual to fine. This cottage boasts vaulted ceilings and not only looks spacious but actually is. AC has been upgraded to a mini split system located in living room. Not stand alone unit as seen in dated pictures.

Delightfully decorated to inspire sun and surf fun. Kitchen ready for delicious meals, small shared deck for serene coffee mornings. Close to freeways and local attractions.

This one bedroom is nestled in the heart of Ocean Beach and is one of four units in quiet complex that is only one block to the beach.

Ocean Beach is a lovely beach community where vacationers have been coming to for years. Park the car and walk to everything you need. Newport Avenue is our main drag and boasts great restaurants, happening bars and excellent antiquing opportunities.

Ocean Beach in the flight path of the San Diego airport. Planes can begin taking off at 6:30 am and the last departures typically occur around 11:30 pm. There is a curfew in place that prohibits departures between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am.

This VRBO property is an absolute gem that exceeds expectations in every way. Very cute and cozy. Super close to the beach and Sea World. Garage parking available which is way more convenient than trying to find parking on the street. Note, garage is tight and wouldn't suggest for larger vehicles as the listing states. Had an excellent time here.

The cottage was in a very convenient location close to the beach and many restaurants. There is a garage (very helpful in a popular area). The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable. There were adequate fans and an air conditioner. I did not cook, but it appeared that the kitchen had everything I'd need. Checking in and out was no problem, as the host provided thorough instructions. I would go back.

Our stay was wonderful! The beach is just a short walk away and there are many great places to eat nearby, too. Our host was helpful and gave us great tips on things to see nearby that we could ride our bikes to visit.

We had a great time at the Beach Getaway House. It was just my wife and I on this trip and we had plenty of room for the two of us. Its location to the beach was great, only one block away. The host provided everything we needed for our beach days as well. We loaded up the wagon provided for us with beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels and a couple boogie boards (all provided by the host) and had a blast playing in the sand and surf. If you're a coffee lover the home is located within walking distance of at least a half dozen different great coffee shops. I tried at least four of them while we were there. Great breakfast resturants and pubs nearby for lunch and dinner a well.There's also plenty of adventure within 20-30 minutes or less. We spent a day at the San Diego zoo (only 13 minutes away)We spent a day walking around the Mission Beach Board walk. (15 Minutes)We visited Coronado Island (only 15 monists away)We went to the Seal Caves in La Jolla as well. We were never more than 30 minutes away from the house, so it was great after a long day to come back and crash. One reviewer mentions the fact that the house is in the direct path of all departing planes from the airport, which is true, but honestly after a day you really don't hear them anymore. We were too tired at night anyway to hear any planes that might be flying by.We appreciated the garage as well, but it's a small garage for sure. Medium to small vehicle only.We would come back here again.

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage. The host was accommodating and thoughtful when our flight and arrival were delayed late into the night. The cottage is exactly as cute and cozy as pictured. It was wonderful to be so close to the beach and the neighborhood is vibrant, easily walkable and filled with shops and restaurants. Airplanes could be heard during normal flight hours from roughly 6:30a-10p but were not bothersome to us in the least. Overall a great stay! We would gladly return when we’re in the area again.
